But I need to know
If the world says it’s time to go
Tell me will you freak out?
Music poured into Tala’s headphones as the young redhead sprinted past a group of teenage boys on the tail end of her morning run. She hated this part of her path. Not only was it uphill and murder on her long, toned legs, but 10am, like clockwork, this group of teenage boys was out here, hoping to catch a glimpse of Tala as she ran by in nothing more than a tight-fitting Under Armor shirt and a pair of running shorts. Part of her wanted to stop and tell them off for staring at her breasts, but she supposed there wasn’t really any harm in letting them have their silly fantasies. She was a lesbian, they were young boys, they didn’t really pose a threat.
But I really, really wanna thank you
For dancin’ ‘til the end
You found a way to break out!
You found a way to break ouuuttt.
Maybe picking a song with 194 BPM was not a good choice, because right now she felt like her heart was going to explode. Panting heavily, she was glad when the song ended and tapered off to a slower piece of techno music that she did her cool down to. Her break-neck sprint tapered off to a gentle jog, just in time for her to round the corner and enter the nice apartment complex she lived in. Her day job consisted of her working in a laboratory that was developing treatments for various diseases. The pay wasn’t amazing because the position was entry level, but it was still pretty good for a girl fresh out of college with a degree in Biology. It allowed her to live in a place that was all her own in one of the nicer parts of town.
Her grey eyes caught sight of a giant moving truck parked out front of her building and her head tilted to the side in curiosity. The landlord had been trying to get someone moved into the newly vacant apartment next to her for a month now, and it looked like he had finally succeeded. Tala’s pace slowed to a walk as she peeked around, looking for a new face of a stranger, wondering who her next door neighbor was going to be.
On the off chance that her new neighbor was cute, she quickly wiped the sweat from her brow and fixed the pony tail that kept her fiery mane of red hair back out of her eyes. Her cheeks were still flushed from running and her body seemed to glow with the glistening sweat that dotted her pale skin. But her scent was still pleasant, and she still had a dazzling smile and laughing grey eyes that made her look cute even though her hair was a little bit of a mess from running.
