so this RPG was an RPG that I made for another site, but I thought I'd scope out interest to see if anyone would like me to bring it here.. sorry in advance for the long winded intro and stuff :]

The circus travelled around the globe and became a hit, it never stayed in one place more then once and tended to be most popular in America. The circus had two faces, a mask and the real thing. Some performers would be lucky enough to perform for the mask, for loving families who wanted to take their kids out on a trip to the circus. There will be nothing wrong with this side of the circus, the performers will be treated well and they will be very happy with their lives. However those who are unlucky enough to perform at night will have an altogether different story, for they will be preforming for the most perverted and sadistic people alive.. they will not be treated well by the ring masters that they are forced to serve.
The circus always plays typical music in the day, but at night the only sounds that can be heard are the sound of pained screams. Screams that belong to people from all walks of life, people that have being humiliated here and feel that they can no longer escape. They have forgotten what it is like to live a life outside of this circus; they have forgotten that to live a life without pain is better than being trapped in this hell. But like mindless puppets they stay, they will forever stay here. They are like beaten dogs that have being put into a state of learned helplessness; they are literally bleeding and suffering for their art in the worse ways possible.
You to have come to this circus, but what role do you play within it? are you a performer who performs for the mask of daylight? Are you content and do not understand the way the performers of the night are? Are you content to serve a mask for the remainder of your life or do you wish to know the truth behind everything you’ve come to know, are you brave enough to find out the truth? Are you a performer who performs for the real face of the circus, dancing and preforming your life away in a trail of blood and tears. Do you feel humiliated by what you have become, do you feel ashamed? Or are you resigned to the fact that this is how your life will be? will you try to warn others or will you leave them to suffer? Will you be a freak, something that will be cruelly laughed at because you have the misfortune to look a little different to everyone else. Or will you be made into a freak so you can be extorted and humiliated that way? Will you be a helping hand, a adolescent of 16 who has being hired just to help around the circus when needed. Will you find out the secrets of the circus and try to run away while you can, will you stay to help others try to break out? Or will you be unlucky or lucky enough to become a part of the show yourself? Will you be a ring master who will bring happiness in the day, or will you be the performers worst nightmare at night?
The choice is yours..
All things must start, the same way all things must end, but for many this is the show that will never end. The nightmare will go on and on like a twisted carousal of so many broken dreams, and beyond the edge of hearing will be the sound of agonised screams. For the head ring master (Loz) knows that people will only see what they wish to see, Loz knows that his circus will last forever and his dream will be made flesh at long last. Even now he sits in his room, ignoring the screams of pain from the wretches that are now forced to perform in the dead of night. He smiles softly as he gazes at a picture of his father, gently running his fingers over it as though he tries to bring it to life with his touch. “we are almost there father, everything is going perfectly to plan, it is a truly wonderful sight to see, father. you know that there is only one thing missing to all this, right father?” Loz slowly stands up and walks towards his window and gazes out, his lips curling in a bitter smile as he thinks about how many new members the Brotherhood will gain through this circus. “yes, only one thing is now missing.. just one thing, the most important of all things..” his voice lowers to a whisper and a single tear trickles down his cheek. “..it’s missing you..”

the Rules will be something like this..
1. please follow the site rules!
2 all performers and freaks must be sixteen at the very least
3. the ring masters start from the ages 18 and up
4. you may suggest freakish mutations for the freaks
5. there can only be one of freak of each type.. I.e one snake boy, ect.. I have reserved wings as my character's trait
6. if you have any ideas or suggestions for improvement, please feel free to voice them :]
7. you may have as many characters as you like, but you must at least have one tormentor character and one tormented.. though if you have any issues/queries about that, PM me and we'll work something out :]
Day and Night sub category explanation:
there are two main sub categories in the circus, these will also show which side of the circus you'd like to be on.. bellow are explanations of them..
Day
Day is the normal side of the circus, there are no supernatural elements and it tends to focus upon real life in the most normal way possible. Within the day subcategory you are a normal performer who is working at the circus willingly (because you want to or have nowhere else to go) but ether way you are treated well and paid for your time. you are also allowed to venture into whatever town or city is locatable in the area you have resided in during your break hours, you also get days off and good medical treatment if you should be unlucky enough to have an accident or become very ill. The Day master of the circus (the head ring leader) always treats the people that he takes under his wings very well and you will be well looked after. All types of talent are welcomed and the performer can add their own individual twist upon acts, as well as pick out their own stage costumes and things like that. The performer always gets full control over what they want to do while in the day sub category and they’re encouraged to do things their way if it makes them perform better. also The Day master of the circus (Loz) is very easy to find and will always offer to chat with the performers or help anyway he can, the other ringmasters in the Day sub category are also very supportive and will help in any way they possibly can. All in all the day circus is like a large extended family, that’s not to say that there’s no drama, but they tend to be more light hearted and the drama that occurs tends just to be normal stuff in day to day life.
Night
Night is the abnormal side of the circus, there are hints of more supernatural elements at play. It tends to focus more on the extreme darker side of life, the cruelty of human nature and the barbaric things humankind can put each other through. Within the Night category you are a performer who was ether abducted, sold or you came in without realising what this place was. Or you could be a freak, ether way you are not treated well and are forced to do the most horrific and degrading things to earn your keep. You are not allowed to venture out of the circus and are ether confined to your small dressing room, a cage, or if you have being preforming below par the punishment room. (which is also the modification room) should you become ill, you will still be expected to carry on your performance. Should you break limbs, you will get no medical aid. If you cannot perform to the standards the ringmasters expect, you will be punished for it. you will not be looked after by others, in fact you will have no choice but to look after yourself. While all types of performances are welcome, they tend to be darker and more twisted versions of their counterparts. The performer gets no say in anything, from their act to their costumes everything is decided by the ringmasters. The Night master of the circus (the head Night ring leader) is always on the lookout for failure, so he can brutally punish it. the slightest slip up will bring his wrath upon you. The other ringmasters are just as bad in their own ways, and there is no sense of family or friendship in this sub category. In fact it’s more like every man for himself. The Night master of the circus (Adonis) tends to be very hard to find and will only show himself when he wants to punish someone. All in all the Night circus has drama, but very dark drama.. and violence and torture that is not only in the realms of sadism and abuse, but also in the realms of the macabre.

Types of characters
Performers (day and night)
Because a lot has already being said about the performers in the ‘Day and Night sub Category’ I have not really got much else to say about them, except that they can perform more than one thing. An acrobatic could also do magic tricks or sword swallowing, but they must have one thing that they’re good at.. that they specialise in.
Circus hands ‘helping hands’
These are between the ages 16-17, they are the only ones other than the ringmasters who can go back and forth from Day and Night. In a circus hand is lucky-or unlucky- a ring master may take an interest in them and put them up as part of an act.. or train them for it. the circus hands help keep the circus running by doing things in the background or doing errands for ringmasters or performers.
Ringmasters (day)
They are the kind hearted souls that run the day circus, just because they are ringmasters doesn’t mean to say that they expect to be treated differently than everyone else. Many of them act as the ‘big brothers and sisters’ of the circus and will never abuse their power or try to order anyone into doing anything. They prefer to talk about things and come to compromises as opposed to using their authority. When on stage they will dress traditionally, but when off stage they’ll simply dress like everyone else.
Ringmasters (night)
They are the unholy souls that run the night circus, not only are they the masters of the ring but they are also the masters of you. They can do what they want to you if you displease-or in some cases not, you can never tell what makes a ring master angry- them. They are dressed in the traditional attire and many of them wear masks.
Freaks
The freaks are the little money makers of the circus, they are more often than not mistreated by the keepers. There are lots of different ways to be classed as a freak, there doesn’t even have to be a serious abnormality to be classed as one. i.e a person can be double jointed as a minor thing to call them a freak. But those that are worth the most money are the ones that have a physical difference, i.e a wolfman. Use your imagination. No two freaks can have the same difference. A freak however cannot have a telepathic power without me being asked nor can they suddenly develop such a power.
