Domino's week started as it had for the last several months, Sunday she woke up she made breakfast for herself and her two sisters then she started out on her day. For the past several weeks Jenni Anders hadn't been around as much. She'd asked for time off to spend it with her brothers and her new sister in law. Of course her older sisters were understanding of family values so they did what they could to make family things happen. Domino of course was quick to volunteer to help out. Connie seemed to think she knew why. Maybe she did, and maybe she was right, but Domino would never tell.

Oh she had a crush on Griffin Jace like one wouldn't believe, but she couldn't confess that, certainly not to her sisters. He was a hired help on the estate, she wasn't supposed to be crushing on him. Maybe that's what made it so much better though, that she did, and that her sister's for the most part really didn't care. She thought back to the day she told him about her curse. He smiled, he laughed, not really at her but the whole situation. The fact that she'd be worried he'd freak out or something like that. She never really asked, and now it was months later.

She enjoyed his company, and he was good to her, that's what Connie saw, and that's what she saw. Cordelia on the other hand, well she was against the whole thing. When Sunday was over she and Griffin decided to meet behind the stables and go horse back riding. So Monday morning she was up before the rooster, showered and ready to go. Nothing fancy but to her this was a big deal. He had become a good friend and he deserved the best she could offer so she'd make sure he got it.

After she was dressed and out the door, she started towards the stable, but she was caught off guard when something else caught her eye. A shimmer of light coming from the north end of the pig shed they had on their farm estate. As she walked towards it, it seemed to grow more brightly as it opened, she stepped inside. Something in it called to her, and she had to follow. Of course had she known when she got to the other side it would close and she'd be lost to the world. She never would have gone in.

The world she came across when walking through the portal was strange, it seemed to be slightly lacking in civilization. So much nature. Not that she minded nature, it just made it very clear to her that she wasn't at home anymore. She came through near a waterfall, much more beautiful than tranquility falls back home, leading into a gentle river that she assumed eventually would lead to a nice lake. She didn't know what she was going to do. She knew she couldn't stay at the falls forever but at the same time She knew she couldn't be around people

That was the problem with being in a new land... That no one here knew of her curse, and if it came out at the wrong time... She could find herself in a great deal of danger. The thought scared her, and as she sat alone at the table she wrapped her arms around herself and closed her eyes to try and hold back tears, she missed her sisters, she missed Griffin, and she just wanted to go back home.

Monday absolutely had to be the worst day of his life. He had planned on a horseback ride with Domino but when he showed up, she wasn't there. Domino wasn't one to break plans without a damn good excuse so he went to find her sisters. They had no clue where she was and they all went their separate ways when they went to go search for her. He remembered the day vividly. His heart actually broke! Okay, it was still beating but he felt...lost without her. He had never truly met someone like her and just when things were getting good, something happened to make her disappear. That was the only logical reason for it. She wouldn't just up and leave. He liked her for her. That damned curse or not. He like spiders and never became disgusted when the spell hit. He would just hold her until it passed. He hadn't even kissed her yet but he wanted to.

He also wanted to love her.

He had searched all day and when he was on his way to Lightning's Pen, he felt something strange the closer he got. He could feel the panic coming from Lightning and he rushed over to the Pen. There was nothing out of the ordinary, but Lightning was clearly spooked and whinnying and neighing in the corner of the Pen. He jumped over the fence and rushed over to him. He had never seen such terror in a horses eyes and when he placed his hand along Lightning's neck, the horse took off! He couldn't let anything happen to Lightning in case Domino came back. She would kill him if anything did and he took off after him. The closer he got to the horse, the more he seemed to freak out until suddenly they were both gone. Only their footprints left in the pen.

When they came to, he realized that sure as hell weren't home. He had woken up with Lightning's nose brushing against his forehead. Lightning seemed calm, despite everything that happened and that could only mean one thing. Domino had to be near. He quickly stood up and then threw his arms around Lightning before he pulled himself on the horse and urge him forward.

They cantered through the area and then suddenly Lightning stopped and whinnied out loud. His eyes looked to where the horse had looked and his mouth dropped open. He could recognize that woman anywhere!

"DOMINO!"

He called out to her and urged Lightning the rest of the way. They were both so happy to see her and when he got close, he slipped from his back and threw his arms around her, breathing in her scent. "Thank God I found you!"

Domino let out a heavy sigh as she watched the water, thoughts of home racing through her mind, but when she'd tried to go back through the rip she couldn't. It was like a one way mirror, cruel and cold. She lowered her head as she traced her fingertips through the water of the small lake at the base of the falls lifting her head only when she heard a familiar whinny. Her eyes lit up as she quickly got to her feet and turned sharply. Turning just in time to have Griffin wrapped around her. Without thought she quickly threw her arms around her friend and hugged him tightly.

"Griff! Oh I thought I'd never see you again." She stated happily as she burried her face into his shoulder to keep from crying. Sure it wasn't back home, but it was most likely as close as she was going to get, and she cared for Griffin a great deal, perhaps more than she should. She didn't care however, he was a good man and he'd been standing beside her since he started working at the estate. Pulling back from the hug slightly to look into his eyes she brushed a hand gently under her own to wipe away forming tears. "I'm glad you're here, I don't know what happened. I just, there was this strange light and.... How did you find me?" As she asked her question she tightened her grip around him, pressing more against him as if she was almost scared to even let him go.
