This was a hard meeting for Sienna as she hadn't seen her father in nearly 10 years. She left home at 22 to marry her childhood sweetheart. Her father never approved of him which forced her to wed in secret. After the ceremony which featured a small gathering of friends, Sienna moved abroad and left England until this very day.

She was smartly dressed as she made her way to the coffee house on the end of the street. Sienna remembered her father used to take her and her brother there when they were younger. Sitting down at a table, she put her bag underneath and ordered a black coffee. The blonde bombshell now had to await the arrival of her dad.

Feeling nervous, she wasn't comfortable meeting him.

Allan made his way down the street, it seemed like just yesterday that his wife and him were visiting his favorite coffee shop just before she died. The coffee shop brought him a lot of good memories, but now he was going there to see his daughter after what was about ten years. The daughter whom had basically abandoned him for some guy. Allan always had a thing for his daughter, she was the spitting image of her own mother. From her lovely blonde hair to her smile. He was heartbroken by the fact that she loved another man. Though he knew that it would one day come to that, he was dreading it, turning down every guy she ever liked.

Wearing a white collar shirt that was tucked into his dark blue jeans, he finally headed inside the shop. Even after 10 years, he was able to quickly spot his daughter. Walking over to her, he silently pulled a chair and sat down right across from her. "Sienna.." he said firmly. Allan was always a strict father when his kids were younger. He would make sure they did their work for school, monitor what they watched and also whom they hanged out with as well. Folding his hands, he ordered a blonde roast coffee as he directed his attention to his daughter.

"Dad" she said back. "Daddy?" Now smiling, holding out her hand to touch his. She did look like she was sorry for what she did, her words even sounding like they had regret in them. Looking over her shoulder, she saw the waitress take his order before coming back with his drink. Once that was done, the pair were left alone to talk with each other. "You look well. Although you do seem to have a bit of a belly now," smirking at him, she tried making light of the situation but the atmosphere remained cold and distant. "I'm sorry for what I did, I am. I should of invited you to the wedding. Or at least told you about it before I moved to Australia." Lifting her mug up, she drank some of her coffee, showing him her left hand without any ring on it. By that glance he would have known she was not with any man now.

Sienna looked at her father who was in his mid fifties. "I'm glad you met me. Must mean you still love me right?" Raising her eyebrows, she had hoped he did. Putting her coffee down she waited for an answer.

Allan glanced around a bit as she spoke. He indeed had somewhat of a large belly now. After all he was growing old and wasn't exercising much except for a few walks here and there. Grabbing his mug he took a sip of it as she apologized for what she did. Watching her carefully now, he saw that she didn't have her wedding ring on. He wasn't sure about her, but he knew her mother always wore their wedding ring. "You don't have your ring on.." he said pointing at her finger, he didn't bother to respond to the question of if he loved her or not still. Of course he did love her, but he wouldn't tell her tell or show her any signs of it.

"I'm guessing the reason why you wanted to see me was because that guy broke up with you?" he said a bit spiteful. "After all how many years has it been? 15?" he said over extending the amount. "I mean you didn't care to show up to your own mothers funeral, so the only reason why you're here now is probably because things didn't work out?" he said taking another sip from his mug as his eyes gazed at her. "It seemed that you loved man more than you did your own family after all."

Looking down at her finger she then made eye contact with him. "No...I don't." Gazing at her feet under the table, she couldn't bare to look at him as she thought she would hear 'I told you so.' Feeling bad, he was right. She was only here because of the breakup. She had no more friends after they had all turned on her and the only person she could see was her father. "I didn't know mother had died. I swear!" That was something Sienna took to heart. "My brother only told me a week later in an angry email. No one told me anything. Do you know how hard that was for me?"

"That isn't true!" Huffing, she was getting quite worked up. "I love you all the same, even more now that I am no longer with him." Blowing a lungful of air out of her system, she calmed down and just asked what she came for.

"I need a place to stay."

Sitting back in his chair, his belly exposed a little bit more now. "You know you're mother was always coming down on me. Saying 'oh you should give her a break'. She always stuck up for you." Allan said, probably making her only feel even worse. "But enough of your mother.." it was quite obvious that he was heartbroken about his wife's passing. Sitting back up, he placed his hands over his eyes as he sighed looking back at his daughter as he removed his hands. "So it took, a guy dumping you...for you to love us even more?" he said starting at her almost emotionless.

Hearing her last request, he figured that was the reason why she came to visit. It was the only thing that made sense. "If you were still with that guy...I bet my funeral would have come and gone and you wouldn't even care, but now that he's gone you want to stay with me?" picking up his mug he had almost finished his coffee.

"I have always loved you daddy" Sienna leant in with her hand and rubbed her thumb against his palm. "Stop turning everything in to an argument. I am here now. Surely that counts for something?" Watching as he nearly finished his coffee, he could easily just walk out now which made her more desperate. "I am in a hotel. I can only afford one more night. Please. I don't have anywhere else to go. I will be homeless."

Sienna's eyes started to water and a tear fell down her right cheek. She was trying to stop herself from crying, thinking he would see it as a sympathy thing when it wasn't. "I'm still your little girl. Remember you used to read them bedtime stories to me?"

Though he didn't show it, her tears really did make him feel bad for her, and her comment about him reading her bedtime stories. He could remember those days, the days when she really did love him. "With your mom gone, my pension for my retirement fund has been declining. As of now I have only enough to support myself." he said pausing for a few seconds, making it seem as if the conversation was over. "If I were to take you in, I still wouldn't get more money. You're my daughter, so they think that you should be working and supporting me." he said firmly.

"But.." he said taking a deep breath. "The idea is crazy. But if you were to pose somehow as my new wife..rather than my daughter..they'll be force to give me more money." The idea was indeed crazy, well not to Allan, to him it seemed more like a dream. "Unless you want to stay with me as my daughter and just benefit from what little i'm getting now? After all you did take all the clothes that I brought for you when you left didn't you? As well as some other things.."

It wasn't even the thought of being his 'wife' that made her upset, it was the fact that he could be struggling for money. It almost broke her heart, although it was already broken from her marriage failure. "Your wife? How do I pose as your wife? They will know I'm not?" Sienna wasn't the smartest at politics or anything in that region with the law. "How do we make them believe it?" Scratching her head, she was surprised by this revelation, but she did see it as a foot in the door of her old home. Drinking the rest of her coffee, she suggested they walk and talk outside. Paying for the two coffees, she grabbed her back and rested it on her shoulder.

Heading out of the door, the bell 'dinged' signifying someone was there. The owner gave them a quick goodbye before getting on with normal duties.

It seemed she was over thinking the situation. Her decision to walk outside was a good one as he got up, he was about to pay for the coffee himself but it seemed his daughter had that covered. As they headed outside, Allan started to guide their walk towards the park. "Well, how will they know you're not? After all a wife and husband lives together, and that's what we will be doing." he told her softly, as they entered the park. A park that they used to visit a lot together when she was a child. "Plus you look more than you're mother than me. They would just think that I have a rather young wife." he assured her. As they continued to walk, Allan fondled in his pants pocket until he found his wife's wedding ring. He always carried it around with him as a good luck charm, as well as something to remind him of his wife.

"There. I guess you'll need to wear a ring as well.." he said sticking out his hand to show her his ring from her mother. Grabbing her hand in his, he gentle placed the ring onto her finger. It seemed it was a good fit, like it was made for her. The whole thing looked just like a marriage proposal, except he didn't get down on one knee.

"But what if they find out we are lying? How serious is the punishment?" Resting her hands in her pockets, one was dragged out by her father who placed her mother's ring on one finger. "I have to wear mom's ring?"

Before an answer could be given, a couple came up to the pair offering their congratulations. "I'm so happy for you both. Did she say yes?" A man spoke, a cheesy grin on his face. "No I haven't said anything...it isn't real.." Sienna told him, much to his confusion. The woman on the stranger's arm just laughed. "Aww she is shy. Say yes, then kiss him." The pair were put on the spot now and Sienna felt awkward and embarrassed. "Yes!" Her voice sounding frustrated whilst she leant in and kissed his cheek.

Allan was about to reply to her first comment, but then the couple came up and started to cheer for them. When Sienna said 'no, it isn't real', Allan was a bit mad, if they were going to act like a couple she couldn't be saying things like that. "Heh, she's always been really shy." he said kissing her back, this time on the lips, giving her a soft pick. "Seems like you were the first to congrats us!" the father said quite excited as he grabbed his daughter and walked off. Once they were alone he turned to his daughter. "First of all, the only way they'll find out if we are lying is if you say things like..'this isn't real'.." Allan said a bit upset mocking her.

"As long as you have a ring, and we live together..it will be their word against ours..All you have to do is act the part..and we will be fine.." he assured her.

Sienna felt his lips press against hers which caused her to feel mad and disgusted. When he pulled apart, she had no time to yell at him as he whisked her away from the couple who stood there looking bewildered at one another.

"What are you doing?!" The blonde shouted when they were at a safe distance. As her father replied, Sienna felt like she was a little child who had behaved badly. "Sorry" she insisted, wrapping her arm around his and leaning her head on his shoulder to make it look like they were a couple. "Does this work?" Looking up to him, she hoped she was doing him proud. After all, she didn't want him to feel let down again after she had run away.

As she wrapped her arm around his, he could see that she was feeling weirded out by his kiss. Thought it was a simple peck on the lips. "Yes this is fine...And don't over react when I kiss you like that. Remember that I used to do it when you were a little girl? It's just a small peck." he said grumpily. Though it was a small peck, it was something more for him, something that turned him on a little bit. Though he wasn't going to tell her that, just yet...

"I guess we should head home now...It's been a while since you've been there.." he said softly, it seemed he was in a somewhat better mood now, as the two headed to the house.

When they got home, Sienna could see it hadn't changed much. There were a few new pieces of furniture but other than that it was the same. Leaving his side, the blonde walked over to a cabinet in the living room. There was a picture of her with her mother and it started to make her cry. Holding her face in both of her hands, she sobbed with mumbled words. "I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know about her death dad."

Taking the picture she sat down with it on the white leather chair. It rested in her lap as she stared at it.

"Well if you kept in touch maybe you would have known.." he said softly. "Any way, let's not talk about her." The topic was a rather sensitive one for him. "About us now, where are your things? You were talking about some kind of motel? You'll need to bring them here. We can do it tomorrow, for now we will have to make some phone calls." he said pausing as he went over to sit on his chair, the chair that he would usually sit on to watch t.v. for years.

"First we are going to have inform a social worker or something about our arrangement. He'll come tomorrow to check out things, and if everything goes well, I'll be able to afford for you to stay here. If not.." he said trailing off. "Just make sure to act like my wife.."

Sienna hated how insensitive he was to her about her mother. Maybe it was because he was grieving still for her, something Sienna didn't want to tread to heavily on. "A social worker? Isn't that for parents with children?" Frowning, she sat on the arm rest of his chair, something she always did when she was younger. "Isn't it like an agent? Or something? I saw it in one of them films." Of course this was reality though, meaning it wouldn't be as straight forward.

Knowing a roof over her head was at stake, Sienna couldn't afford to slip up.
