Lucas was a knight of England but also of royal blood but became a knight to defend his country and have a better view of his fathers subordinates. Lucas was out on his horse not in his armor for he only put it on when he feels endangered or is heading to battle. He was waiting nice clothing that his families stewards made for him. He was heading out to one of the neighboring villages that his uncle controlled to visit some friends he made their a couple of years ago. He was riding in heading to the black smiths place where he was hoping he was finished with his new helmet.

Lucas soon arises at the black smiths building. He got off his horse and put him at the post as he gave him a nice pet before he walked into the black smith. When he opened the door a rush of heat hit his body as the building was hot thanks to the fire and metal working stove heat. He walked in and looked at the work shots as a large African American was at the anvil holding a hammer and some tongues that held a long red hot metal and was pounding on it hard as he was working the metal into the snap of a sword. Clang clang clang he sound echoed in the buildin as the black smith hit the metal making it shape from a rough metal langth to a smith sword. When the black smith had the shape he wanted it in he quickly put the metal in a long water bucket as steam rose up from it as the metal cooled. He then placed it down on a table and turned to see Lucas as he then smiled wide. "Lucas what brings you in today." He asked as he stood up and clapped his hands together to get soot off his hands. Lucas smiled in return. "Not much just came to see how my helmet was doing as well as yourself." The black smith smiled as he then put his finger under his chin. "Hemet what are you... Oh you." He laughed at his joke as he turned and grabbed a finely crafted helmet that had Lucas family crest on it. "It is done and I must say one of my finest work. So make sure you don bring it in with many dents." Lucas laughed as he looked at the helmet as he slowly took it from the blacks smiths hands. " yes finally made indeed." He then reached for his pouch to pay but the black smith raised his hand to stop him. "No no this one is on me. Just make sure to tell your fellow knights of my work and that would be laymen enough." Lucas smiled. " you are to good to me friend." The then gave him a hand shake before he headed out of the black smith building not paying attention as he looked at the hemet more fascinated at the workman ship.
