It was crisp cool September day as flock of birds could seen flying in a v formation as they traveled south. Since it was a Saturday many kids could be seen outside playing various outdoor games such as Frisbee on a large lawn, or just simply surfing the net on their laptop near the main fountain. However various students started to turn their heads as a black limousine drove onto campus and made its way towards one of the school's dorm complex. After the limo made a complete stop in front of the door the two front doors opened up and out stepped two tall gentlemen dressed in fine chauffeur clothing. The chauffeur who was the closet to the building quickly made his way to open the Limo's rear passenger door, as the other one made his way towards the trunk of the vehicle.

After the Limo's door opened out stepped a young teenage girl standing slightly over four foot ten inches. The young teenager appeared to be no older then fourteen years old and was dressed in woman's russet blazer, with ochre under shirt and a short checkered that matched the blazer and undershirt. As for her blue hair it was tied in one large braid that hung all the way down to the middle of her back, and thus everything about her appearance, save for the lack of glasses just screamed "book worm".

"I don't think it's alright for me to move in a week late" said the young teenager in a low whispering tone lacking any confidence.

"Nonsense milady Jasmine, head upstairs to your new room while we carry your luggage upstairs" replied one of the chauffeurs.

As Jasmine rode the elevator she removed a folded letter indicating where her new dorm was going to be. When the elevator reached the seventh floor Jasmine gulped as she stepped off the elevator unsure she really wants to attend this school and would she like her new roommate. After all her family had just paid the school off to allow admission, along with room and board just moments ago. Little did she know she could head to the building's administration to retrieve a key as Jasmine slowly knocked on the door with strong hesitation. As Jasmine waited for her new roommate to open the door, she reviewed the faxed letter wondering how her new roommate was .

Kim wasn't outside hanging out with the other kids or enjoying the day, instead she stayed in reading a book for english. In a school for rich spoiled kids she stood alone as the poor girl who was only here because of her grades. She was two states away from home and no one around wanted to be friends or even cared about her. She did have one thing in come and that was she had the room to herself allowing her to be a loner with a wall bulit to protect her from the other kids. She was fifteen years old and stood about five feet tall with a pale complextion. She had short copper hair that curled in and framed her face. Her clothes were all woren out, faded, had a few and were once her sister's that she grew out out. She had simple pair of faded jeans on and a light pink halter top that used to be a bright pink. If it wasn't for the better education she was recieving she would have left be now, since she was outcasted by the clothes she wore and the fact that she was poor. She tried fitting in on the first day but she was from a different class and couldn't relate to thier lavish vacation stories or brag about the clothes they had.

Her headed tilted towards the door as she heard a knock coming from the otherside. She wasn't a roomate since the school never mentioned it to her so she set her book down on the bed and walked over to the door expecting it to be a letter from home or something else. She opened the door and stared at the girl and her servantswith her luggage. She sighed realizing that her solitude was over and she would now have to share a room with this girl. She could already tell that she came from a rich family and got what she wanted and never knew the meaning of real work. "Can I help?" Kim asked trying to not sound annoyed by her. She hoped and prayed that she had misread the sheet and had the wrong room since she didn't just open the door.

Jasmine slowly looked up at her new roommate and it wasn't something she was expecting. Since this school was known as the "Harvard of High Schools" she wasn't expecting someone let alone her new roommate not to be rich. Unsure how to respond she completely froze as she mumbled the words "um, um, um" as she started to tremble. Many thoughts raced through her mind like what should she say, would she be offended if she say it or how would say it.

It took a little bit of effort but Jasmine slowly raised the letter in her hand to show her new roommate. Jasmine hopped that the letter would explain it all as she was unsure how she would explain it further. Just then one of chauffeur came and interrupted the two as he coughed.

"Milady, perhaps we should call your father. so he could arrange a change of residency so you don't have share your quarters with this... riffraff" said the chauffeur as he seemly sneered at Kim as he noted her heritage.

Jasmine's eyes seem to widen with fear unsure as how her father would respond to this seemly dumb request, let alone how her new roommate would respond. "please don't... I don't mind" Christina replied with an almost hush whisper with an unconfident tone to her voice.

Kim read the letter sighing that she had read it right and was gonna be her new room mate, what was even worse was that she was right about her background. She handed the letter back to her, she was just upset as they seemed to be about the whole thing. " well Milady feel free to do what you want, i can already tell that you'll fit in with the other kids here." Kim said mocking how the chauffeur talked and addressed her and stared at the one that talked. She hated the upper class because they were all the same and acted like they were kings and she was a mere homeless peasant. In the past week she had learned to come off as a mean person in order to get others to leave her alone and stop mocking er while she was there, she just assumed that she was gossiped about once she had left. She turned her backs on them and walked back in and started reading agian, she kept the door open so they could move her in if they wanted. At this point she didn't care what they did as long as they were quiet and left her alone. "feel free to come in just leave me alone." she said without even lowering her book to talk to them.

Despite the suggestion of the chauffeur Jasmine slowly but hesitantly slowly walked into the dorm room. The two chauffeurs sighed as they brought in Jasmine's luggage and placed it on what appeared to be her side of the room. "Thank you... I'll get to it later" said Jasmine with the name low whisper as before. Jasmine then waited for the chauffeur to leave before she slowly unpacked her pink sheets for her bed. As Jasmine placed the sheets on the bed she took several glances at her new roommate as if she was trying to work up the courage to do so.

"I'm... sorry" said Jasmine after she hopped onto her bed and tried to apologize to Kim but couldn't work up the courage to look at her in the eyes.

"Don't worry about I'm used to it by now." Kim said as she placed her book down and faced her new room mate since she couldn't loook her in the eyes. "well if we are going to be sharing a room we might aswell know each others name. I'm Kim." Kim said in her same annoyed voice. she loved having this room alone and know that Jasmine moved in she would have to adjust. On the bright side she didn't seem like the kind of girl who would be tough or even make request so she figured that she could make the rules up for there room. It was only fair seeing how she came a week late.

After Kim asked for her name Jasmine paused for a moment, seemly not wanting to answer. The look on Jasmine's face seem to agree with her as the look of embarrassment grew on her face. "My name is... Jasmine" replied Jasmine with an embarrassed tone to her voice and complemented with a blush on her face.

"So, what do you...no never mind" asked Jasmine as she raised her head, only to quickly lowered her head in embarrassment. It was clear she held a very sheltered life and as a result she never met many people, nor did she know how to interact with others.

Kim sighed hearing the embarassed girl behind her, it was bad enough she had to share a room with her. But it was even worse that she could barely talk to strangers and seemed like she never left the house. She was probably daddy's little princess, even her name sounded like one "Finish your question, I'd rather you ask now than bother me later with it." Kim said as she shifted on the bed and laid back down still looking at the girl."And after today i may not answer you."

Jasmine continued to look down at the ground starring down at the ground as if she tried to gain courage from it. Jasmine then gulped as she apparently gained courage to look up towards Kim laying on the bed. "What... do you..." said Jasmine but only to find herself pausing again apparently loosing the courage again. "What, do you for fun" Jasmine tried again after she removed her glasses.
