A stern looking business woman stood before the newly purchased house, her greying brown hair tied up in a bun atop her head, steel rimmed spectacles making her slightly wrinkled face seem strict and somewhat menacing. Receiving the papers and swiftly scanning the print, she scrawled her signature down with a flick of her wrist. Nodding her head curtly at the movers, satisfied with their job. Most of the larger pieces of furniture had already been moved but a few cardboard boxes stacked up by the front gate remained on the street.

Avery Gately was a successful businesswoman, climbing the corporate ladder ever since she rejoined the workforce after her husband’s passing three years ago. Her work hours long and strenuous, she seldom managed to return home, but her love for her only child was immeasurable. Unfortunately Avery’s schedule was as busy today as it always had been, and she had to return to work immediately after confirming the arrival of her furniture. In fact she’d returned during her lunch break, a lunch break which was soon going to end. Giving her daughter a quick apology and the keys to the house, Avery got in her car, and was gone several minutes later.

[Aisha]

Smiling uneasily at the two men who offered her luck, and then a more genuine smile as her mother too departed the scene. Cerulean blue eyes looked warily at the large stack of boxes she’d been left to carry. A silent sigh escaping her as she looked up and down the street, making sure there weren’t any suspicious people waiting to grab a box the moment she went inside.

She stood still for a few more moments, her shoulder-length brown locks swaying in the breeze before she reluctantly moved over and picked up one of the smaller boxes. Only to let out a small squeak of surprise, nearly dropping the box when it turned out to be heavier than it looked. Regaining her balance, she quickly walked the small distance to the front door, checking the box before heading to the living. Placing the box in the far corner before heading outside again to continue the laborious work by herself.

Certainly he hardly got new neighbors every day, though if it weren't for having to finish up a few things for his work-at-home life, the red panda fur might have been able to come out early enough to meet both his new neighbors. As it was, it appeared he'd miss the woman he could only assume to be the mother of the girl left behind. By herself, with nobody to apparently help... that definitely wouldn't do.

Slipping on a teal blue, lightly flower-patterned button-down shirt left fully open in front to reveal most of a black-furred chest, Ren made his way out of his house right next door to the people apparently just moving in only to note the girl going back inside. Taking things a little into his own hands, in a manner of speaking, he carefully grabbed a few boxes to carry over his shoulders, glancing up as the girl appeared back out the door. "Couldn't help but notice everyone leave you behind to take care of all this by yourself. Ren Olvry, I live right next door," he introduced himself with a friendly grin, giving a slight nod in the direction of his own house. "Should be able to be done quickly enough if ya don't mind me helping out; I'd hardly be much of a good neighbor if I didn't do this much, right?"

Aisha had barely managed to take a step outside when her journey was interrupted by a flat furry chest…. Err, rather a man… if it could be called that. Having only ever seen Ren’s kind on the other side of a television screen, it took a few seconds for her to realize who, or rather what Ren was, her eyes widening in shock as she took a step back into the house, holding her arms up infront of her in hopes that it’d act as some sort of barrier between the intruding furry.

Unfortunately her eyes were affecting her mind too much for the friendly words to register. The friendly grin appearing more like a wolfish triumphant grin much akin to that of a predator had cornered its prey. “Please don’t steal those, I’ll…. Get in trouble” she shook her head torn between making a grab for the boxes, and running to the phone to call her mother. While most of Ren’s kind were peaceful law abiding citizen’s, the media did little to help project the truth, instead focusing on the minority and exaggerating their crimes to the point where they became public enemy number one. Just light night she’d seen a man on tv condemn the anthromorphic community, brandishing an amputated arm in the air and explaining how a trivial disagreement had resulted in a life-long disability.

“I’ll pay you instead okay? I… should still have a bit of pocket money left” she trailed off uncertainly, not completely sure if she had enough to satisfy a burglar. Regardless she had to gain some leverage in the negotiations, and she couldn’t do that without some sort of payment. Spinning swiftly on her heel and planning to head upstairs, she barely managed two shaky steps before tripping over her own feet. Swerving to the side and slamming her shoulder into the wall. Letting out a sharp “Ow” before slumping to the ground, rubbing her arm carefully, momentarily forgetting about Ren’s presence, only for the ‘threat’ to penetrate her mind a second after. “Sorry I-“

He hadn't quite expected... that reaction, though he supposed he probably should have. Friendly though he himself was, the fact remained that his kind weren't exactly common; there were quite a few people that had never seen them, and thus inevitably weren't sure what to think of them. Still, though, he didn't make a move as the girl backed away a little; that was the best way he'd found before, to carefully let them see he was someone that could be trusted. At least he was reasonably used to that sort of thing.

Still, considering his nature, hardly could he ignore someone that had gotten hurt, even if it was probably nothing to really worry about. Carefully putting the boxes down so he wouldn't risk damaging anything within them, he made his way somewhat quickly to the girl's side, maintaining a reasonable distance while still being in range enough to offer a hand to her. "You alright? Looked like that kinda hurt," he kindly offered, some obvious concern on his face as his hand remained offered to the girl to, at least hopefully, help her back up to her feet. "And don't worry about any sort of payment, alright? I make decent enough wages from my little home office job, and I can help you get all this stuff inside and wherever you need it to go for now in no time flat," he added, offering the girl a friendly, closed-mouthed smile that wouldn't show his somewhat sharp teeth that tended to make already worried people like her worry even more.

"Ren Olvry, by the way... just feels like you didn't quite catch that from being surprised by my appearance. And you are...?"

Flinching visibly when Ren approached her, she tried to think of some sort of excuse for her clumsiness, hoping that she hadn’t tested the ‘savage creatures’ patience. Fearful blue eyes looked up at friendly golden ones. Aisha took several deep breaths, backing away slowly, only to have her retreat cut off by the wall. Preparing herself for the worst, Aisha tightly shut her eyes, bracing herself for a feral bite, or a savage claw. Though even after a few seconds had elapsed, she couldn’t feel the dreaded slash of pain…. Her eyes slowly but curiously opening to look skeptically at the man with his hand outstretched.

Shrinking away from the hand, she shook her head. “I don’t have the money ye….?” She paused, blinking dumbly up at Ren, trying to work out if she’d heard right. Had the… thing… just spoken? The possibility opened up her fearful mind a fair bit, working it’s way into the past and trying to decipher as much as she could. She’d initially thought Ren was just growling and barking at her, but there was a high chance now that all of it had been in her imagination and Ren had been talking normally the whole time.

Having no idea what to say, she reluctantly placed her hand ontop of Ren’s. Her eyes still fearful and untrusting she bit her lip uncertainly for a second before whispering “Aisha…” softly, hoping that she hadn’t answered some rhetorical question.

His smile visibly widened a little when she finally took his hand, and he gripped hers gently, carefully helping her back up to her feet. "Aisha, huh? Cute name for a cute girl," he spoke, chuckling lightly. Once she was back up to her feet, he leaned down to place a soft kiss upon the back of her hand; habits died hard, after all, even when the person was still plainly somewhat fearful of him. Something he hoped to change soon enough one way or another, one way of which was likely enough to simply help her out.

"So... where ya want this stuff? I should be able to get it all in in just a few trips, since I'd certainly argue I'm strong as I look," he kindly offered, glancing over to her in curiosity as he went back to retrieve the boxes he'd otherwise put down shortly before, lifting them up to his shoulders and carrying them easily enough over to Aisha herself, some definite muscle definition showing even beneath his mostly dark reddish-brown and black fur. "Oh, and hope you're not too worried about my appearance, I can promise I'm pretty much as harmless as they come," he assured, his long tail giving the occasional little flick behind him.

While the initial panic had started to fade, Aisha was still extremely wary of the furry, watching him cautiously as his warm hands wrapped around her own, tugging at her lightly and reminding her that she needed to get back on her feet. She didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter anyway since Ren seemed to be able to pull her up with relative ease. She didn’t know what to think of Ren at this point in time, but when she saw him lowering his maw to her hand, her body tensed significantly, images of the man with the amputated arm flashing through her mind. She already knew she wouldn’t be able to overpower Ren, so the best she could do was stand still and hope for the pain to pass. She desperately wanted to close her eyes, or at least turn away. But she was too afraid to do either, watching with dread even as she felt a light kiss being placed atop her hand.

She exhaled loudly when Ren finally pulled his head away. Only realizing then that she’d been holding her breath. As offensive as it might have looked, Aisha quickly took a step away from Ren looking around nervously, before shaking her head. “I’m fine, I can do it myself they’re not that heavy….” She trailed off, recalling how she’d struggled to carry even the smallest of the boxes.
“I’m fine… really… I don’t need your help… not that I don’t want it or anything… I mean I’m completely fine with your appearance, it’s completely normal right?” she lied, smiling nervously and trying to distract Ren with words. He’d assured her he was harmless as they come, but even if he was telling the truth, she couldn’t help but wonder if her definition of harmless was the same as Ren’s.

"Normal? Dunno if I'd say that, considering I haven't seen any other furs around these parts for a while now," he idly commented, partly dismissing it with a little shrug. She was still nervous, he didn't need to be a reasonable judge of character to easily be able to tell that much with how tense she clearly still appeared. He still needed to do something about that, but for now, there were other priorities as well; the boxes of things to have to move, most specifically.

"Still, it's fine if you're nervous around me; I'd call that a lot more normal than my appearance, considering," he offered with a friendly smile. "And these boxes wouldn't be tiring even me out a bit if they weren't fairly heavy, not to mention, still what kind of neighbor would I be if I didn't at least help out with this much? Since I live right next door," he added, tilting his head slightly in the direction of his house indeed right next door again, figuring that had been amongst the things she'd been too panicked to catch earlier. "So will ya let me help you out, then? I promise the last thing I'm ever gonna do is hurt you or any of your stuff, if that helps."

I’m not nervo-….” She tried arguing her point, hoping that acting tough would deter the creature from taking advantage of her. She quickly shut herself up though when she noticed how bad her hands were trembling. Glancing up cautiously at Ren before slowly moving both her hands behind her back.

The boxes were certainly an important task she needed to accomplish, but in the face of danger they were hardly a priority for her. She’d probably beat herself up for it later, and her mother might scold her, but she trusted her mother enough to know that she’d understand her reasons for putting heavier emphasis on her own safety. In fact, Avery Gately would probably chew her head off if she got hurt trying to protect a few household trinkets which could be replaced with a few dollar bills.

She didn’t really think much of the ‘neighbor’ reference, thinking it impossible for a creature like Ren to actually own a proper home. She figured Ren meant he hung around the area frequently… or perhaps there was a park or bushland nearby. She did however take note of his promise, staring skeptically at Ren, distrust evident in her eyes as she looked down his face, stopping at the slightly exposed chest before shaking her head. Blushing a bit at the sight as she frankly wasn’t used to seeing guys in general, nevermind an unclothed portion of their body.

“Y-you promise?” she asked, mustering up her courage,
“You’re not going to eat me or anything then?” she asked rubbing the back of her hand. Hoping she hadn’t said something she’d regret.

All he offered was a friendly little smile in the face of all her nervousness and skepticism, neither commenting further on it nor making any move to do anything further with the boxes he still held until he could place them down wherever she wanted them. Hopefully soon enough, but he knew he could hold them long enough, until she at least trusted him enough to let him help her move everything.

"Not a chance of that; only sort of meat I usually like is fish anyway. Besides that, fruits and vegetables do fine for me," he assured, shifting the boxes a little on his shoulders as they began to get a little uncomfortable. Strong though he was, even he had his limits; that was only natural. "Hope you don't mind me carrying these boxes in, then? Getting a little tiring even for me carrying them around like this this long, and I'm not gonna let you just do all this on your own," he requested.

Aisha sighed with relief when Ren told her he preferred fish over human flesh. She couldn’t take his words at face value, but it was enough for her to relax just a tiny little bit, though she still wasn’t convinced Ren didn’t have other motives for approaching her. She’d never heard of a neighbor going out of their way to help others, perhaps a quick formal greeting and welcome. Had her mother been around Ren would have been sent off immediately. Accusing Ren of snooping around and prying into their belongings… or something along those lines.

“Oh, sorry, kitchen… I think?” she instinctively answered, when Ren complained about the boxes. Immediately regretting her words as they were synonymous with acceptance of his help. She was sure she could do it herself…. Though it’d probably take until late in the evening, whereas Ren seemed to be able to carry them easily enough for it to all be done in less than half an hour.

“You really do prefer fish?” she asked skeptically, following Ren into the kitchen, though she was careful to maintain a safe distance.
“W-why were you tasting me then?” she asked rubbing her the back of her hand again, though this time she did it infront of her so that even Ren could see what she was referring to.
“And… you called me c-cute? That means I look tasty right?” she asked trying to make sense of Ren’s actions and words. Unaware how miserably she was failing

He gave a little nod as she answered, allowing her to lead the way in whenever she might. Considering his senses, he was certain he'd easily be able to locate the kitchen, but things would probably go a lot easier anyway were she around to see for herself that he was treating everything well and everything was going where she requested it. Regardless of how tiring it could get carrying the boxes around, that was definitely his priority at the moment, beyond anything at all else.

"Hm? Not at all," he chuckled lightly, tilting his head a little to the side as he glanced over to her. "It was just a little kiss to the back of the hand; kinda my normal way of greeting females, however much people say chivalry's dead. And when I said 'cute,' I meant just that; I'm sure an attractive girl like you will have guys asking you out in no time flat," he assured. "In the meantime, though, I guess we should finish moving the rest of these boxes, then I can get out of your hair if you want? Don't want you to feel uncomfortable around me, even if I do live next door," he offered.

Aisha had fully expected Ren to deny her accusations, but not in the way he was doing right now. Her cheeks flushed noticeably red when Ren referred to the earlier gesture as a kiss, and she couldn’t even look at Ren properly when he called her attractive. Wanting to change the topic, but not entirely sure how to do so without seeming awkward, she blurted out the first thing that came to mind…. Which wasn’t much of a topic change at all.

“Never been asked out once… or attractive” she mumbled quietly, not sure where to look, only certain that she didn’t want Ren to look her in the eyes again and call her something she wasn’t. “Went to an all-girls school….” She mumbled, wondering why she was even telling Ren this. Like most girls her age though, she’d been interested in guys for many years now, but being a bit of a recluse in her free time, she’d never bothered to go out in her free time. In fact Ren was probably the first male she’d spoken to if she were to exclude her father.

She didn’t respond to Ren’s offer to continue moving the boxes, but led the way outside again, feeling a bit nervous with her back turned to Ren, but wanting to ask a question she simply couldn’t hold back.
“Do you really think someone will ask me out one day?” she asked curiously. Picking up another small box and trying to balance it in one hand, trying to reach for a second, but giving up when she nearly dropped the first.

Ren was about to ask 'not once?' before the girl spoke again, admitting she went to an all-girls school before. That would very likely explain that, he figured. At the very least, she seemed to be a little more comfortable so far; that was definitely progress. There was still likely a little ways to go yet, but he'd get there, no doubt.

So for the moment, he gave a thoughtful little nod, following her outside when she went back out and pointedly grabbing a few more of the heavier boxes, fully intending to get those out of the way now. He hardly had to think on her next question before a friendly little smile returned to his features and he gave another nod. "One day, probably soon, I wouldn't doubt. Even just blue eyes like yours are generally pretty attractive, and for lack of any better way I can think of to put it, you've got a pretty cute face and nice figure to go along with them," he replied. "More so if you believe yourself that you're attractive; that sort of confidence tends to show, and people tend to go for it as long as there's not too much of it," he added as some sort of minor advice. "I'd definitely even consider it myself if I figured that might ever work," he lightly teased, though there was still a certain honesty in there. Sure, she probably didn't quite trust him yet, but she didn't seem like a bad person, all in all.

Tipping her head to the head seemingly confused when Ren told her that someone might ask her out in the near future. Her excitement was so strong that it actually managed to overpower her fear for a few seconds, her azure eyes sparkling with curiosity as she took a step towards Ren, trying to pry more information out of him as he seemed to know a lot she didn’t.

The step however was quickly retracted, as Ren bombarded her with a slew of compliments, her face heating up so quickly she could feel tears of embarrassment starting to prick at her eyes. She was well and truly about to deny everything he’d said, up until the point he mentioned how being able to admit her own attractiveness would make her more desirable to guys. She hesitantly bit her lip and nodded her head slowly. “I know I’m attractive….. I think…” she murmured, quickly trying to walk back into the house, wanting to avoid being told how stupid she sounded. She had no idea how someone could be confident about their physical appearance without being arrogant, especially since the only person to call her attractive was a male not even of her own species.

She literally dropped the box she was holding when Ren teased her though, a look of surprise and confusion on her face as she looked at Ren bashfully. “That’d never work” she stated bluntly trying to write off the idea as ludicrous. “But… if it were possible… would you really?” she asked, trying to suppress her eagerness. She wasn’t really attracted to Ren since he wasn’t human…. But seemed… friendly enough so far despite their initial interactions… he was strong, and his face was rather handsome…. From a human’s perspective at least anyway. And that chest… well, she’d never understood what was so special about breasts, but she had to admit Ren’s chest looked awfully warm and smooth to touch…..

Shaking the strange thoughts out of her head, she turned her attention back to the box, sighing with relief when she realized it was just a collection of handbags, shoes and other things that wouldn’t break.

Blinking in curiosity as the girl took a step toward him, he blinked once more as she shortly stepped back away. Whether he made a bit more progress or not, he couldn't quite tell; he'd just have to see at the moment. Though if he weren't already holding a few fairly heavy boxes, he might have been able to catch the box she soon dropped. He could only hope there wasn't anything fragile in there, at least, though it was only natural that his eyes should snap to it for a moment as it fell.

"If it was, then sure. You're definitely cute, you don't seem like a bad person, since if you were, I'm sure you would've reacted a lot differently and probably more aggressively when you'd first seen me," he somewhat thoughtfully replied, his long, soft-furred tail flicking over to brush briefly against one of her hands. "Don't mind that thing too much, by the way, it tends to act on its own often enough," he added afterward, giving a slight grin. "Still, though... species difference or no, nice to see that you're at least this comfortable around me so far. Almost wish I was human, considering, but being warm and fuzzy has its perks as well," he chuckled.

Picking up the box she’d dropped, and trying to act as casual as she could after her little screw up. She couldn’t help but feel a little guilty when Ren pointed out how she’d acted upon seeing him. Had she been stronger or more physically confident in her ability to repel off an attack she might have done exactly what Ren had mentioned, but fortunately she’d been to afraid and too shocked to do anything other than tremble and fumble around fearfully. The perks of being a spineless coward she mocked herself silently. Not really able to convince herself it was a good thing.

Slowing her steps and walking beside Ren as if to atone for her earlier behavior, she watched Ren’s tail flicker around with renewed interest. Her gaze apparently having caught Ren’s attention as he asked for it to be excused. She shook her head in response, “I don’t mind it at all, was just thinking it’d look perfect to sleep beside on a cold night” she stated cluelessly, managing a small but genuine smile this time. The fact that Ren was only here to help finally starting to settle in her mind.

“You really need to stop teasing me though” she complained, blushing a bit at the implications of Ren’s words, unable to take him completely seriously. “What would your girlfriend say if you told her you wanted be a human…. Or are you already married?” Aisha asked curiously. Figuring that someone as handsome as Ren would have a partner. If Aisha could see him as attractive, there was no way his own kind wouldn’t be clinging to him at every chance they got right?

Sure he'd freely admit that he was teasing her, but her comment on sleeping beside his tail couldn't help but feel to him like a slight tease. Not that he expected her to really mean anything by it, but... well, who knew with some people. Some humans went for furs, did they not? Probably not this girl, but some did.

"Nothing of the sort for me," he admitted with the slightest sigh, scratching a little at the back of his head, an action only allowed in this sort of time that he wasn't carrying some of the heavy boxes. "Haven't seen any other furs around here in a while, after all, and... well, can't exactly expect humans to go for me, attractive as a bunch of them, like you, are even to me," he added with a little shrug. Certainly not one of the perks of being warm and fuzzy, but he lived with it one way or another. Even then, he certainly couldn't let that deter his normally friendly nature, or just let him casually ignore her earlier comment, his tail flicking up again to brush lightly against her hand and part of her arm for a moment. "Just one of the things I have to live with, I guess you could say."

“Why not?” Aisha asked curiously not really believing Ren, but deciding to humor him nonetheless. “You told me being confident was attractive only a few moments ago, and now you’re acting all modest and making it sound like no one would be interested in you” she pouted, a bit confused as to why Ren would say such a thing.

“I guess it’d be a bit awkward at first, but species doesn’t mean anything when you’re in love right?” she asked innocently, spouting what many would call childish ignorance. It was a widely accepted silent rule amongst those in society that each specie should stick to their own, and girls that went for furry guys or vice versa were often slandered with cruel jokes, and sometimes even nasty insults. But to Aisha that seemed trivial, her belief in the ‘happily ever after’ ending firm and resolute. It might have been due to her lonely upbringing, but the she truly felt she could endure anything for the right person.

“I mean I wouldn’t mind dating someone with strange ears, a bushy tail… or even a few sharp teeth if they really cared about me…” she stated thoughtfully looking at Ren’s ears, tails and then his face.
“And I’m sure a lot of people think the same way” she quickly added realizing how wrong that’d come out. She had to admit she didn’t feel completely at ease around a furry, especially since it was the first time seeing one with her own eyes, but she figured she’d get used to it… eventually. And most people weren’t as secluded from the world as she was.

Going quiet when she felt Ren brush his tail against her, she kept her head lowered for a good while after that, hoping that Ren wouldn’t notice how her ears had gone a bright red from the brief silky encounter. She’d figured it’d been an accidental brush, especially since Ren had stated the tail had a mind of it’s own….. but she stayed close to Ren despite her embarrassment, secretly hoping for another lucky brushing.

He tilted his head in curiosity as the girl spoke. Despite not so great first impressions, more and more it was starting to seem like she might actually go for him. She was practically saying she would, though he wasn't certain if she'd completely noticed the fact. Perhaps more than that, he could hardly help but notice her reaction when his tail had brushed against her again. He quite doubted she'd admit to it at the moment, but if that was what she wanted, he was more than happy to deliver.

So acting partly on that thought, his tail idly flicked slightly in the other direction before it flicked over to the girl who, he hadn't by any means missed, was now a bit closer to him. More than just brushing against her, though, this time it coiled gently over part of her forearm, the tip brushing ever so gently up and down it. "Surprisingly soft, right?" he spoke with a little playful grin. "From what you said, though... I wonder if you'd ever like to at least try dating me? I'm not exactly rich, but I make enough to get by fairly well, and I haven't exactly been unpleasant so far, have I?" he carefully suggested, perhaps testing how far he might be able to go, in part, but nonetheless genuinely serious about it. "Better yet, we already live right next to each other, which'd make things a lot easier."

Nearly dropping the box she was holding yet again, she couldn’t believe how clumsy she was today, thought this time it wasn’t completely her fault seeing as how Ren had decided to brush that amazingly silky smooth tail up against her again, coiling it around her slender arm easily and making her blush like crazy. She knew she should pull away, and politely tell Ren it wasn’t appropriate, but quite frankly put, she didn’t want to. Though she was pretty sure she couldn’t play dumb and pretend that she hadn’t noticed this time.

Nodding her head in response she didn’t really know what to say, and hence decided to just say whatever came to mind, hoping that Ren wouldn’t be offended by her remarks, though technically she’d already said worse already. “I thought it’d be more prickly and itchy, but if feel really nice… nice and smooth… and really really warm” she murmured thoughtfully. “Sort of reminds me of my mother’s scarf, just a whole lot better” she smiled shyly. Putting down another box as they made their way inside, she quickly used the opportunity to run her fingers through the soft fur, a dreamy look spreading over her face, her fingertips gliding smoothly up and down as she admired it for a few seconds later.

It wasn’t until Ren spoke again that she actually recalled she was touching someone’s body, not a inanimate cloth of silk. Though any embarrassment she should have felt was ushered swiftly away when she realized what Ren was talking about. “Uhhh I don’t know….” She answered honestly, her heart beating wildly, “I barely now you… and my mother….” She started, trying to think of a proper excuse but managing to notice something before she made a fool of herself. “You’re just making fun of me again aren’t you?” she asked, pouting a bit and turning her head away, slipping her hand away from Ren’s tail and marching back down the hallway. A bit upset that Ren would make fun of her like that.

She couldn’t however stop herself from imagining what it’d be like to date Ren. Would he hold her hand in his again? Would he let her rub her cheek up against that heavenly silkiness? Would he let her curl up to him in bed….. Shaking her head furiously upon realizing her thoughts had well exceeded of what would be considered an appropriate date.

He was rather certain he couldn't exactly argue the fact that it was basically his fault she dropped the box she was holding again. Still... that she didn't make any move to pull away was something in and of itself. "Glad you seem to like it, then," he chuckled lightly upon her comment, quite plainly taking no sort of offense to it. His tail even shifted a little as she stroked her fingers along it, pressing a bit further into the gentle touch.

"Not in the slightest, I'm honestly serious about it," he assured. "Besides, it's not at all uncommon for someone to ask out another person they barely know, partly for finding them attractive, partly for hoping to get closer to them and get to know them a lot better," he added, grabbing most of the last of the boxes on the last trip. It indeed hadn't taken particularly long, just as he'd promised, and he was rather glad to see by now that she didn't seem to have a problem with him being a fur; quite the contrary, perhaps. "As for your mother, I can always work to convince her, but more importantly than that... would you like to try? I'm no expert on dating, I'll admit, but I'm a pretty good cook and can give a good massage, and I know plenty of good places around here to stop in," he curiously inquired, his golden eyes fixed on her for now and his tail still occasionally flicking over to brush back against her, hardly to be deterred from contact.

Ren’s words made sense to her, but making sense and being able to accept them were two completely different things. Aisha didn’t know how her mother felt towards furs, or even the concept of her dating but she had a gut feeling that neither would be positive. Upsetting her beloved mother was the last things she wanted to do… but she couldn’t deny that Ren’s offer was an enticing one.

She didn’t know what she was basing her opinions on, but she was certain she didn’t think of Ren as ugly. And he seemed like someone who could take good care of her if she were to accept. The offer to cook, and massage didn’t really ring too many bells at her age. But being told that he knew a few good places, and would be willing to take her tipped the sagging scales in his favor. Aisha herself wasn’t a reclusive person… or at least she didn’t think she was. The problem with her social life was that she simply didn’t know anyone. Her friends at school were wealthy little princess’s with strict curfew’s and restrictions, and bluntly put. There weren’t many sensations out there that compared to that of sitting alone in a café full of couples, families or even just friends. Having her lacking social life once was more than enough.

Looking at Ren uncertainly, enduring the temptation to run off and lock herself in her room. She still wasn’t sure if Ren was joking or being serious, but he seemed serious enough…. And it wasn’t like Aisha disliked the idea.

“Can… I think about it a bit?” she asked carefully, figuring it was the best choice of words at this point in time.

Tilting his head a little in curiosity as she finally spoke again after seemingly thinking it over, he gave a little nod, offering her a soft smile in turn. "If you need to, then sure, though I still might try and convince you. With this, for example," he replied, somewhat teasingly flicking his tail up and brushing it softly along one of her cheeks. She'd seemed to like the touch before, he wasn't really certain why that should change now, all things considered.

"Oh, and... don't suppose I could borrow the shower here for a bit after we're done moving the rest of this stuff? I'm sure you'll probably be needing it as well after moving this stuff around on a kinda warm day like today, but I'm having some issues with mine that're supposed to be fixed tomorrow, so... I'd really appreciate it, if that's alright?" he requested. "I can even owe you by making something good to eat or a good snack afterward over at my place, if you want, especially since you're just moving stuff in now and probably don't have all that much food and stuff here at the moment," he offered.

Ever since she’d crossed paths with Ren, Aisha was having to make decision after decision. Making her own choices in life instead of simply following the instructions of her teachers, or the suggestions of her own mother. She felt a bit guilty regarding the latter since she was pretty certain that Avery would firmly reject the idea of letting anyone in the house while she was away, but Ren had sort of helped himself, and what the woman didn’t know wouldn’t kill her right? Plus, that damn bushy tail was just too tempting to resist. She didn’t know if Ren would allow her to get a proper feel of it later, but she wanted to sit down and enjoy the silken fur on her face for much longer… regardless of how childish or strange that may seem to others.

Since Ren had decided to carry the last of the boxes by himself, Aisha found herself empty handed as she followed after Ren back into the house. Stopping just past the door despite Ren continuing to make his way to wherever the boxes were to be placed. In her pocket she held the one and only key to the house, and in the other she held the door knob. A wave of uneasiness passing over her, there really wasn’t anything stopping Ren from showing a more cruel feral side once she was locked inside, but she couldn’t quite leave the front door unlocked either.

Taking a deep breath and making the hard decision, she turned the heavy lock. Quickly scampering away, afraid that she’d change her mind if she lingered. Ren taking the last few steps of the journey when Aisha rejoined him. Mentioning something about a shower and treating her to a meal. “Second floor, first door on the left” she stated, not thinking things through carefully. Her mother had already checked to make sure that gas, electricity and hot water were all working in the house so that was no big deal.

“Ah-After I have a shower sure” she corrected herself, not wanting to take a shower after the furred man. The thought of a man stripping naked in her house was something she couldn’t easily accept, but seeing as how she did owe him for helping her…. she supposed she was obligated to allow him such a small favor. Having a shower after Ren however was out of the question since she was certain she wouldn’t last a second in the shower knowing that Ren had been naked inside a moment earlier. If Ren left some sort of scent it’d probably even corner her panicky mind even further.

“There’s no need to treat me, my mother’s given me enough to order….” She lied, having planned to eat nothing that night and go shopping the following morning. She didn’t know how good a chef Ren was, but Aisha herself had learned a few dishes while cooped up in her home.
