In local taverns, stories are told about adventures taken, plunders found, wishes fulfilled. On occasion, people whisper about a place hidden deep within a lush rain forest where treasure and ancient artifacts patiently await those who are brave enough to venture out and seek them. Most think that these treasures wait alone, but they are mistaken. Few had been brave and searched for it, long and hard, day after day, only to come back empty handed, or worse, not at all. No amount of money can make the natives wander into the rain forest, having seen so many people come and not come back. If one were to make it all the way to this hidden place, they would find a village run by exotic creatures called Nekos, who had the ears and tails of felines.
Aisling shielded her eyes, looking up at the noon day sun before setting down the wood and flint she had been carrying. She was trying to get all her material home before lunch, and now it seemed that it would have to wait. Looking around her village, she noted how everyone was wandering around, talking and laughing. No outsiders have ever come to her village, and little to none skirmish occurred. That made her job all the more easier, keeping a watchful eye over things. Not that her job had ever been hard. They didn't have to worry about anyone invading or trying to kick them out of their village, since it was so hard to find. Even nekos who had lived here their whole lives still got lost. When she was a child, she had befriend the Chief of the clans son, who soon became the chief when he turned of age. Not long after, he appointed her to be his adviser.
Aisling walked around for a few minutes, talking to people she had know about their lives, how the trades were, if they were having any problems, things she asked everyday at about noon. Once she finished, she found her way to the Chief, discussing plans, new found items, and the problems of the villagers. Assuring her that they would all be taken care of, he sent her on her way to enjoy what was left of lunch time. After actually finding something to eat, she searched for her favorite secluded spot, a little bit away from the main square of the village.
Sitting alone to catch a moment of peace, she let her mind wander, day dreaming for just a bit.
