After a long day having a tour of the ranch and being told of what his duties will be, Kyle Jackson was officially hired by the owner of the ranch. After dropping out of college because he couldn't figure out what to do with his life, he moved out into the country, wanting to work outdoors in the fresh air. He was always so stressed out with the city, finally being down in the south, he finally felt at peace. There wasn't much traffic on the roads, he rarely bumped into assholes on the street, and things weren't overpriced. The south was a simple place, and he was happy to be there.

Sadly, his new life wasn't free, and he didn't exactly have a permanent place to live, so he needed to find a job. Luckily, he was able to find an add posted in town, looking for a young man to work out on a ranch. The job would include a decent pay and a place to live. Deciding to take the job, he went to visit the owner of the ranch.

The owner was almost exactly what he expected, a man with a heavy southern accent, he was always dirty from his work, and he loved his ranch. His ranch had all sorts of prized farm animals that he enters into the country fairs, and he even grows his own crops as well. Almost everything they ate was produced at the farm. To Kyle, this was the sort of lifestyle he was looking for, having to work to eat, becoming a true man.

Once he was briefed on the job, he was given the day to move in and get settled. Living in his spare bedroom, he was going to live with his new boss, and his daughter. Kyle had yet to meet the daughter, but the rancher told him not to try any funny business with his little girl, otherwise he'll be back on the streets. At least he was still allowed to look, maybe she was cute.

After spending the rest of the afternoon moving his stuff into his new room, Kyle relaxed on his bed, happy start his new life, getting to work as a ranch hand.

The sun beat down, the heat it produced radiated off the ground, well the concrete at least. Athena McCatty a girl with big dreams, dreams to explore, to love and to see the world. But with her overprotective father hanging over her shoulder she couldn't do much, she was treated like she was 10 when she was 22. She lived in a house on their ranch that she built with rest of the construction crew her father called in. She couldn't take this nagging and protecting anymore, she wanted to rebel against her father.

She sat on her couch with her Mainecoon cat, Athena stroked his fluffy fur with a smile. She played with him. Her day had been busy filled with training some new ranch horses and working as well. She outside breifly for fresh air when she saw the house next door had it's let's on. It never did, did her father get a new ranch hand or had a homeless person broke in, she went to investigate.

She ran over in the cover of night and slowed to a stop when she neared the front door. She peered inside and furrowed her brows before ringing the doorbell

Kyle heard his doorbell ring. Odd, it was late at night, who could it be? Maybe the rancher wanted to say something before heading off to bed. Getting up, Kyle didn't bother to put on a shirt and answered the door while only wearing his pants.

It wasn't his boss, but instead a beautiful girl was at his door. This must be the daughter he heard about, she's definitely beautiful. "H-Hello." Kyle muttered, his face blushing a bit. He was actually smitten with the girl, finding her so attractive. Sure the girls back home were hot, but something about her made her look gorgeous. He had to say something though, she was standing in his doorway and he just stared at her like an idiot. "I-I'm Kyle, you must be Mr. McCatty's daughter. It's nice to meet you, your father hired me earlier today, so I'll be working here for a while."

Now that he knew it was a pretty girl at his door, he felt a little awkward about not wearing a shirt to answer the door. He hoped it didn't make her feel uncomfortable.
