Here's the beginnings of my request thread, constructed according to a few styles I've observed here. If you happen to notice some similarities between your approach and mine, consider this a note of thanks.
I'm a heterosexual male in the real world and I am not immediately interested in filling the shoes of a character outside that archetype, but it is possible you may be able to convince me. I never rule anything (excepting below underlined "No" labels) entirely out because that just cuts of opportunities to learn.
I'm a fairly veteran roleplayer and a highly literate writer, though of course new to this realm. I would ask that you take this into account for any ideas you launch in my direction.
Here's a few basic requests pertinent to roleplay:
1. Be patient with me. For at least the foreseeable future, I am going to have a luxury of time, and will get to your post as promptly as can be expected. I will inform you when this will not be the case to make sure we are on the same page. I do not abandon roleplays without explanation, ever.
2. I do not and will not have a F-List, RH, any of that crap. I consider these services a foster of laziness. If you want to know if I like something, just ask me about it.
I will indicate my only definite "No" kink labels here:
Anything involving characters under the age of 18;
Anything involving blood, piss, shit or other such things;
Anything explicitly non-consensual;
Anything incestuous;
Anything involving non-sentient entities.
Everything else ought to be game in the right light.
3. Sudden manipulation of my characters in ways that I have no control over is god moding; please don't do it.
4. Please always be courteous in all out-of-character communication, even if I've pissed you off. If you meet me halfway in resolving disputes, I promise I'll reciprocate.
