The noon sun stood high in the sky causing the ground to warm nicely, the wind could bite this time of the year. The small open area along the path made a good spot to rest before continuing toward Brenor the small port was good for trade if not much else. The trees stood strong, green still clinging tightly to the forest as if they would hold forever. He enjoyed the mix of chill in the wind, and the odd enjoyable scent of the trees. He had hobbled his horse allowing to to feed as much as it pleased a small stream close enough to keep it happy. He was not a cruel man, not overly so he had done many horrible things in his time. He smiled as he filled his bowel eating slowly laying back in the sun enjoying the day as best he could.

The path was commonly wondered he would wave, and smile to anyone whom walked down the road. He would allow those who pleased to join him. He had dealt with one man whom had tried to rob him it wall all part of the day. Tavi was deadly with his knives he wanted fame, and he would earn it one way or another he knew. He padded one of his recent items he had acquired even through his pocket it had made him smile a bit more. Whistling a song by the name 'The Travelers Path' a happy tune that seemed even more happy coming from him.

He was a good looking man, wearing a short brimmed hat that held his medium length hair back coming down along the edges. Dark brown hair that was hard to notice next to the black hat. Emerald green eyes that sparkled in the eyes. His shirt open in the front despite the cold air lose fit allowing a show of his muscled chest. He had leather traveling pants that lead down to well worn travelers books that did look good. He smiled a man of good looks who knew it he had gotten the same line by many. He was too pretty to be tied down, and he took it to mean that he was too good looking to stay faithful.

The warmth of the daylight was always a pleasure on her flesh warming her body as she stood in the light. Though the trees still green, the flowers still blooming, Autumn was upon them. The wind blowing through her crimson curls. Looking around the area seeing the people passing by going about their daily lives. Her dress fell to her ankles covering her leather boots slightly, embroidered with gold. A top that she wore a black and red reversible traveling cloak.

The woman carried a basket holding herbs and potions within it. Heading out into nature calling for the spirits to increase her magic, honing it to make it stronger than it already was. She was a kind and happy woman enjoying the world and most that she'd meet. Going about as a healer most of the time, helping those in need, despite what many thought about witches she never let on about her practices. Not tied down to anyone her family passed away long ago but it never really bothered her. Katina smiled to those she passed heading along a trail leading to the forest were she often practiced away from her cottage. On this walk there was a man laying in the grass with his horse, nodding her head as she continued on her path.

Once far enough in the woods where she was sure no one would see her, she began drawing a circle pentagram of salt for protectiong and went on with her rituals, blessing her ingredients and creating invoking the spirits.

Tavi grinned as he felt a 'tugging' the only term he could give when he felt someone using magic he had nodded to a women not to long ago, she had returned it. Pretty he thought with an inner grin as he moved to his feet. He had no intention of pulling his own cloak from the pack he kept it in. He followed the tug nearly blindly letting the energy bring him closer to his goal as he stopped. He was not close enough to threaten her with a physical attack, he seemed more interested in the circle than her his eyes running along it. He guessed it was simple, but his magic would not be able to do much more than power a simple thing like that.

"Dangerous trade to preform so close to a town, some look badly when they find your cure worked too well, or worse it caused the death of a loved one..." His emerald eyes looked gentle, not as if he was threatening though many would to take advantage. Though he had an odd shifting to his step as he looked ready to run at any time. "I invite you to my fire if you would enjoy the company of another..." He gave a slow flourish with his hand before retreating to go back to his camp. He had warned, and offered his fire. If she joined him he could enjoy this evening if not he would look elsewhere.

So engrossed with her magic trying to build it up and channel it. She didn't hear the man approach at first concentrating on her magic. Katrina instantly stopped her magic turning to look at him, thinking it odd for him to have found her. "I know my trade well enough I do not cause death." She replied to the man what would he know of magic. Company would be nice for a while anyway. She gathered her things and followed him to his camp.

He turned around before his camp giving her a wink, and a small bow. "I did not say you did not know your trade, but not everything can be healed. North of here they have burned people for not healing the dead, and for doing so." He chuckled to himself at the foolishness of it all. He was clearly a well traveled man, and enjoyed sharing what he knew. "I am glad to see you followed, it gets so lonely traveling alone..." he seemed to keep a certain distance from them never losing his smile, but as if being close to people made him uncomfortable. "There is some stew if you would like I did well foraging, it is quite good if I say so..."

She stopped a distance away as he stopped and turned to look at her seeing him bow. "I'm aware of that but an illness is simple enough to fix...very few can summon the dead or bring them back..." She said then blinking at him when he said people have been burned for doing so. "I believe it I live in a small cottage by myself...which it does get lonely but I often get visitors...Why thank you for you're hospitality..." She stated it was starting to get a little colder and she hadn't eaten yet. Katrina went and stood by the fire.

He smiled as he poured her a bowel with an easy motion before passing the bowel to her, "It is a little sweet for me, but it fills the hollow in ones stomach quite nicely." He smiled to her with an ease enjoying the warmth of the fire leaving a spot next to him if she wanted to move close, but he showed no need to press her in as much. A night in his bed, or a night with her at the fire he did not mind. It was going to be a cold night he knew that, but if he had to set a tent for wind he would for now it did not seem like this night would need so. "I am just as happy to have you here with me, better than another night alone." He smiled at her careful not to imply anything. "Been a long time since I have seen a circle you use spirits then?" He asked casually, but knew each type of magic was usually guarded well least any one grow to powerful.

Taking the bowl that he handed her "Thank you." She said with a smile smelling the soup. Seeing the open seat next to him she sat down, figuring it would be a cold evening. Katrina took a sip of the soup it was rather sweet, but it tasted good and it was edible. "Thank you for inviting me. I uses circles for protection some spirits help with my casting I use other methods as well."

He nodded, "I have some skill in body magics... though everyone recoils from me when they find about it." His magic was weak, but many found it evil as he could strengthen or more to his body, or weaken another. However more fearful was they could manipulate emotions, and sensations. It was said you knew it when a skilled body mage did so, but most assumed that was just some trick. He knew she would feel his magic if he tried to use it, and he had to touch her to try such a thing. Tavi made no such motion toward her however though did watch for her reaction.

She looked at him, "Oh do you?" She asked curiously. "I hear that it's a rare ability, I'm not very adapted into it, I work with nature and spirits more so." Katrina said she wasn't used to speaking with other magic wielders. To her magic was magic, it could be misused if in the wrong handles. Sitting with him at his camp she didn't sense any malice or ill will, he was kind enough to have her join him.

Tavi chuckled softly to himself, "Tell you, that your sitting next to a live adder. Your happy to know it has poison?" He seemed to be amused, and pleased that she did not scatter. He moved his arm out to offer sitting close if she wanted. Only an offer he did not hold sitting like so, but he was willing to let her sit against him if she liked. He tipped the bowel to his lips drinking slowly enjoying the taste. "We have a few hours before the choice to set up camp or head to the city. Would you mind keeping me company till at least then?" He was only asking not going to force her if she was uncomfortable, but neither would he ask for her to have to ask him just letting her know the offer stood on the table.
