Smut?

I haven't been in the roleplaying business very long. I keep seeing people say "smut" but I have no idea what it means. Can you guys help me out real quick?

Technically, it means really sleazy, dirty and cheap sex. On here, it is used to indicate pornographic material or role-plays of an erotic nature. Someone puts it in their request thread it means they are most likely looking for sex-heavy rps rather than story-driven plots.
