The city of Alexandria, Egypt, had always been one with some of the most influence among the ancient desert. Like most of the other cities within Egypt, it has it's shares of ups and downs. At the moment, though, it had been going through a prosperous era. The economy was at it's strongest peak, the Pharaoh equal in strength despite his wife having passed away years ago whilst giving birth to their daughter.
The now seventeen year old princess was in her room, gazing out of one of the few windows. Even with the peace and success all around her, something had been feeling ... amiss lately. She couldn't pinpoint exactly why or how it was being caused. But she had noted that as of late, it seemed quiet, to the point of it causing her to become uneasy.
Normally, silence didn't bother her. But something about it just seemed so very unnatural. Her teeth gripped her lower lip from behind her golden veil, hands wrapping gently along her shoulders to try to calm herself. When the attempts did next to nothing, however, she knew serenity would have to be found in another fashion.
When the idea came to her, Hasina's feet guided her to a small temple that had been made for anyone within the palace to attend to. The uneasy feelings only worsened as she saw no one else there, not even a handmaiden or servant. Slowly, she fell to her knees, letting bright hazel eyes glance up towards a statue of Isis, the protector of women.
"Is something even amiss? Or am I just overthinking? Please, Isis, you've never left me before. Give me a sign, a symbol ... " She murmured softly, the soft brown hues gradually closing, hiding themselves away from anyone who may or may not be nearby.
