[Inverness]

Name: Syna
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Ability/Skills: Syna is only slightly above average in physical combat and use of weaponry. However she is an incredibly sensitive precog, although she remains unregistered and therefore has a tendency to appear to others as weaker and less significant than she is.
Brief Personality: Syna is kind in nature and tries to be consistently genial towards others. However in spite of this she possesses a secret and darkly mercurial inner persona that can lead to trouble if left unchecked.
General Bio: Syna's history is mostly unknown to others at this time, what is publicly understood is that she was orphaned at a young age when her family disappeared under mysterious circumstances. She was placed in a foster home and remained under any sort of radar for most of her life, thus why her precog abilities were easy to hide (though why she hides them is yet to be disclosed). Once she was old enough to live on her own, she claimed her independence and lived a solitary sort of life. When word came to her that a search party to look for the lost child was being formed, she up and left her life without a moments hesitation and without any explanation, much to the shock of those few acquaintances she did have.

That's good! I really like her! Sorry this is moving a bit slowly. Since it looks like Strauss might actually not be able to join us(due to personal stuff) I'm gonna make two characters to sort of pad things a little bit.

My characters:

Name: Frye
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Ability/Skills: Well-versed in the use of weapons and fighting. Chosen as the leader of the group because of tactical and survival knowledge.
Brief Personality: Kind of boisterous with a roguish sense of humor but intense and aggressive when he has to be. Not the typical macho-man.
General Bio: He's spent years training teenagers and young adults how to use weaponry and how to survive in wilderness situations, so, he's good as a teacher and a leader. Has some tragedy in his past that now fills him with hatred for monsters and night creatures. He's gung-ho about the mission and eager to slay some beasts.

Name: Chilton aka "Chilly"
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: tall and lanky with close cropped hair and round face. Very blue eyes.
Ability/Skills: An expert on the Night Land and everything that can be seen from the observation peak of the Redoubt. Knows all about the monsters and their behavior and the landscape surrounding the pyramid. Proficient with tuning the radio he keeps with him to sense voices on the aether.
Brief Personality: An eccentric genius, has a hard time relating to people and a bit of a chip on his shoulder about his intellect and "superiority" in that regard. Bit of a coward but can be moved with the right motivation - usually "the pursuit of science".
General Bio: He's spent his whole life studying in the observation peak of the pyramid, watching through the hyper powered telescopes and taking notes on the behaviors and appearances of the creatures outside. Is a bit socially inept but considers himself necessary for the success of the mission. For the chance to observe things in the Night Land up close for the first time, he's willing to risk his life out there.

Ajay "Meth" Khan
26 / Male / Cyborg

A prodigy of sorts, Ajay is a bioengineer extraordinaire, adept at noticing weaknesses in both flesh and machine, and then exploiting those weaknesses. Of course, his primary interest is in the combination of the two, through cybernetic prosthetics or even, to a lesser extent, xeno-orgnaic grafts, and will more often than not be compelled to gleefully dissect anything he's never seen before.

Rigging
Being from humble beginnings, Ajay is no stranger to working with frugal means, and his nature has granted him a rather surprising level of resourcefulness, digging through piles of what would otherwise be considered junk and crafting potent explosives, working (albeit usually ugly) vehicles and firearms, and a whole range of other contraptions. For some reason, however, he refuses to work with any AI more complex than an auto-pilot.

Explosives
As the size of any given explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of solving quickly approaches zero. 'nuff said.

Personality:
The quintessential mad scientist with less cackling and flailing, Ajay (street name "Meth"), has been hardened by poverty and crime. He's still a curious tinkerer with a morbid sense of humor at heart, but has been punched in the gut enough times to come with street-sense as well.

Biography:
Noticed scraping from the streets by a prominent underworld leader, Ajay was pulled into gang life for reasons far off what most would think. Ajay pursued a scientific education during the day, and his family cashed in at night. The specifics of what they had him run are still unknown, and his lips remain shut, though going by his street-name, one thing is for certain. As he grew the complexity of his concoctions increased, as did his infamy. Long story short, he was compromised and granted parole to Frye as the team's combat medic. It's not like anyone comes back from the Nightland, after all.
