It had been a hard time for the Thevis' family the past few years. First there mother dieing in a car crash, then the middle child...there only brother....dieing in the war, then last the father drinking himself to death. Lynn thought it best to move herself and her younger sister to a new place. A small town, the best place she could think of to start over. Even if Onica did not agree with her older sister, not wanting to leave her friends behind. After all she was only 16 and still in high school unlike her sister 23 and able to work all day.

And that's what Lynn did, working a full time job and two part time jobs to make sure their little family had everything they needed. Living in a small one bed room apartment near the edge of town, Onica found out that she had to walk to school every day.

Up before the sun came up every morning, walking when it was still dark....and the same at night, getting home well after the sun went down. Not fearing anything after all it was a quite little town. Why should she, even with her small five foot three inch, 107 pound self. She did not fear the city she lived in before, why this place?

Spinning her nights inside, after all a place like this didn't have any clubs or parties worth going too. Passing her time on the internet, listening to music. Writing short stories about vampires and werewolves and how she wished her life would be. Little did she know one of her stories might be coming true.

((Sorry I suck a first post....I get better with age.))

(( Hey your fine don't worry about it ))

For many years Blaine had been alive, and for many years Blaine had traveled from place to place taking in the sights, getting to know the townsfolk and trying out different tastes. But you see... Blaine wasnt like a normal person, no... Ontop of traveling because he enjoyed to see different things, he traveled because it would come to be dangerous to linger in one place for too long. And he didnt live long into his years because he was fit or exercised. It was because he could not die. Blaine was a creature of the night, a blood sucker, a vampire. He stood 6'2'' and hard crimson eyes. His body looked to be the age of someone around his twentys but his real age was far older than that. His hair was jet black and his skin was very pale, almost white. His teeth were so white that they almost shone in the dark and his mouth was home to two long fangs that were located in the front of his mouth.

For not too long now Blaine had taken up residence in a small little town with not too many people living in it. But people were people and he did not require thousands upon thousands of people to feed upon and he quite like the smaller towns. It seemed more... Homey. It had only been a few weeks and Blaine had been laying reletively low, dining only some animals and anybody who strayed too far from home. Maybe a wandering drunk or a women who had lost her way. It didnt matter to him, as long as he got what he wanted.

Although he was embarassed to say it, he was slightly picky. He normally singled out young pretty girls to dine on. Their was something... Erotic or sexy about the way a vampire feeds and Blaine could see that he never got as much enjoyment out of sucking blood from another man. It was possible to drain a human of blood and keep them alive, but so far Blaine saw no need to ever keep a human alive after feasting on them. To prevent them from running off and telling others what had just happened to them he would most likely have to put a leash on them or keep them with him at all times. Or the townsfolk would no doubt think them mad and pay no mind. Either way he just found it to be easier and "cleaner" to simply dispose of them afterwards.

The people of town had already come to know of Blaine and come to accept him due to their small size. Apparently it was pretty rare for them to get new neighbors but just about the time after Blaine arrived a pair of sisters did as well. It seemed that they had a rough past and were trying to start again. Thats all he knew about them but he hadnt really made an effort to trying yet.

Onica would not say it out loud but she hated her sister for what she did. Dragging her to this little town, away from her friends and her past. Sure it was a painful past but still it was one she was willing to live with. Angry at her sister for trying to run away from their pain. Nothing about this town seemed to interest her. There was nothing to do but go to school and go home. No one to really talk to. The other kids did not really talk to her, more because she did not dress the same way they did or was into the same things they where.

They seemed to wear hand me downs and things from the local stores. Onica, even though she was not stuck up or rich in any way, name brain clothes. She dressed nice, blue jeans that fit a little to tight. Her shirt always having a matching set of jewelry....every day a different mood that just bought a different style with it. They liked sports and mudding...she like writing and taking long walks at night when her sister did not come home.

Thats where her trouble might have started, leaving the house one night after doing her home work. A friday night, knowing she did not have school in the morning, taking a long walk down the sidewalks of the town. Stopping in a park that was near her home. She loved to swing, more so at night. It just brought her a sense of peace, it opened her mind and let it flow with fresh thoughts for her new stories. Not careing if someone saw her, not careing who came up to talk to her.

It was not like she was going out drinking, going out with guys just to get a lay. At less she new how to keep her legs closed unlike other city girls she use to hang out with.

It was a wonderful night. The night sky was like a dark blanket that covered the town. It being such a small town their werent many lights so when night arrived the sky was full of beautiful stars. Much more than any city would ever see. A cool breeze washed through the town and felt good upon all who lay in its path. The town had become quiet and peaceful during the fall of night but if you looked carefully you could still find signs of activity. Wether it be a light escaping a house, or the sound of a family enjoying a meal together, or even just a little boy praying out to the brightest star in the sky before bed.

Wanting to stretch his legs Blaine decided to go for a walk. Placing a nice tip on the table before leaving, Blaine exited the local bar and stepped outside. Adjusting his coat he looked around before heading down the street. Of course in the time he was at the bar he had not gotten anything to drink. Its not like the bartender was going to give him a large glass of blood on the rocks. No, he did it more so to make an appearance and to see what kind of lively faces could possibly be his next victim. Stumbling drunks were an easy meal. But he hadnt found what he wanted tonight. Sure their were those that had clearly one glass too many but for some reason Blaine wasnt interested in that easy meal. He wanted something more... He was starting to get bored with his normal way of feeding. Sighing he continued down the street and towards a small park in the town. He thought himself silly for thinking that way. He truely was too picky when it came to his blood but he couldnt help it.

A light creaking noise caught his attention and he looked around to try to find out what was making the noise. Glancing over at the park he looked at the swing set and saw a young girl swinging, alone. Blaine glanced around to see if anyone was nearby. It seemed that she had yet to see him. Getting a little closer he saw that she was one of the two sisters who had just recently moved in. The younger one if he was not mistaken. Onica... Blaine had noticed Onica around more and more recently. She seemed to take long walks to and from school bright and early and late at night, all of which had to be made in the dark. Adjusting his coat he made long even strides over to the girl. He was silent and his steps made no sound. It was as if he simply glided across the ground. It wasnt long before he was upon her. Appearing to her side he stopped a few feet away. "Good evening..." he said with a smile. "Nice night, huh?" Looking up into the night sky he tilted his gaze back down towards the girl. "Onica Thevis, I presume? My name is Blaine..." He said holding out his hand to the girl.
