Raymond Brewer had been away from his family for ten years now, he had been certain that by now his wife would have attempted to file for a disallution of their marriage but his contacts said otherwise. Still, for the last three months he had been watching his old house, watching his family and what he saw was angering him. His wife apparently was barely there for his little girl, leaving her neglected. He had seen the state of their fridge and knew that his little girl barely had much in the way of food regularly.
So Ray had rectified that situation and begun sending her gifts, sometimes including money. Other times he ordered food delivered for her and since it was already paid for she didn't have to worry. While he sent her things like trinkets, a necklace and even a set of very expensive earrings he had never left a note.
Until tonight, he ordered her pizza and then waited for the delivery before he left a note with the silver chain to go with the pendant he had given her before. The note simply read, "Daddy's coming home tonight, be ready to let me in, I've missed you baby girl and will explain everything to you soon."
He waited and watched after he'd knocked on the door so she could get the gift. He waited to see her get ready for bed before he knocked on the front door. He was wearing a simple pair of black jeans with a black wife beater. His face sported a five o'clock shadow since he hadn't shaved yet. He looked just as he had ten years ago when he first left this house to go to the store and had his life changed forever.
