atlas looked out upon the park, he was sitting by the old coffee shop named after the park itself Lincoln's coffee shoppe, they used shoppe instead of shop because they thought it made them seem just a little older, as if saying hey we were in the business longer, he sighed looking at the gravel at his feet. It was a nice touch to the scenery of the land that lay before me, but this seemed to not matter to him because he had been waiting for someone, no one that big just someone who had said they knew the reason he could not get girls, it was a man of the name Edward shrew; he was a love expert......ha atlas thought this funny love could never be perfected because it was erratic. standing up he started walking over to a pathway leading of into the middle of the park, it was slightly eerie but atlas loved things like that it seemed to suit him very well. As he walked down the path it seemed to get darker and gloomy, moist was the air and the ground humming with heat, atlas had many experiences like this and always after ward he would hear a feminine voice yelling for him to come home, the voice sounded weary and sad as i9t had or still loved him, it confused him greatly and whenever he heard the voice he thought himself crazy. But this thought was not so far from the truth for the origin of his birth was one of the most chaotic, as the feeling left him bitter coldness came to him as he came back to the normal world; whenever he came back from stuff like this he felt so tired and mad, if only he could find that voice...that is if it was real.

Walking out of the pathway he came to the same coffee shop, had he gone in a circle, he was slightly flustered with himself for he usually did this, where he was thinking that he was going one place then finding himself in a different place, he looked up towards the horizon, it was still light out, so he decided to get something to drink. Ordering just black coffee he sat down in the same seat he had started off he looked down to the ground annoyed, his life had become more and more confusing after his twentieth birthday, weird things happening like light bulbs bursting if he stared at them to long camp fires not even coming close to him, animals standing still frightened of him as if they were deer in headlights, all to confusing.

((sorry if it is a little small))

Noelle meandered through life. One day at a time, she told herself. As of late everything seemed to be going wrong. Had it really been five months since Micah had so rudely dumped her? She sighed, her eyes falling on a male at the next table. He seemed distracted, preoccupied or some combination of both. She understood the feeling. Just as she'd opened her mouth to talk to him, he rose and ambled off. Watching him go Noelle thought he seemed nice... oh well.

Shifting in her seat she reached out and grasped the edge of the newspaper that sat along the spare seat at the male's table. She shuffled through the paper as she sipped her coffee. Three creams, two sugars and one mug of piping hot coffee, this was the perfect combination. Closing her eyes she savored the warmth it gave off and let spiral through her form. Glancing up she noticed the male was gone and she was all alone on the outdoor patio. The heat from the coffee helped with the heat of the day, or so she thought. Same as a warm shower cooled you off and a cool one warmed you up. It was nice.

Weaving one hand into her hair against her scalp, the dark red strands shimmered gold in the late afternoon sun. She was reading through the comic sections when she noticed someone was slipping into the seat the male had vacated. She wasn't apt to look up, at least not until she finished laughing. A soft snort left her as she giggled at the silly comics. Covering her lips she smiled behind the tapered fingers. Regaining control of herself, she lifted her eyes to see the dark hair and eyed male from before. "Oh... was this your paper?" She asked folding it quickly and handing it his way, a light blush tinting her cheeks as she smiled at him.

He looked over to the women to his side, was she taking to him? her red hair glittered in the lessening sun " nah, just on my table...... thanks for asking though" smiling at her almost dismissively as his dark coffee was placed down upon the table in which he sat, he sighed deeply as he grasped it by his right hand bringing it to his lips and taking a long sip filling his entirety full of warmth; he shivered with anticipation of the next sip. He loved coffee it made his life just a little easier, thus was true for most people but coffee was something that was normal in the human life so having it made him feel normal, weird concept but it was what he felt.

his eyes flickered back to the girl, a weird feeling filled him the voice from earlier telling him not to interact with the likes of her, he did not listen, a glimmer of gold passed through his eyes bright as day, she could have most likely seen it but atlas had no clue of what went through his body as he stood up with his coffee in hand. He walked over to her and sat in the seat next to her, he smiled as if he knew that this was the right thing to do " hey, sorry for not introducing myself earlier, names atlas" his hand lifted after he said this as if in a request to shake hands.

He had no clue why he was doing this it was just a anticipation an influence that his body had upon his mind as if it was fighting against something that he had no idea of, the smile weakening he looked into her eyes and his vision become slightly foggy, for some reason whenever he looked straight at her it became fuzzy kind of tingling every where as if he was on a drug...ha kinda like she was his drug, this thought occurred to him only slight as his hand wavered slightly, he wanted to know her name know how old she was why she seemed......so...so different.

"Oh," Noelle answered with a smile. Dropping the paper back on her table top with a sheepish grin. When he went back to ignoring her she opened it up and read the other page of comics. Why not, she thought silently. Sipping on the heated brew. Glancing at him, she was certain he kept looking at her. Either that or she was crazy. When she caught him glancing her way she bit her lip and continued reading as though she saw nothing.

A flicker of something caught her eyes as he stood, perhaps to leave again, she wasn't sure. She stretched out her legs and then her arms, raising them into the sky. It was a nice day, the coffee was delicious and the view... well it wasn't so bad. She smiled at him as he came toward her. But then she almost giggled when he joined her. "It's quite alright Atlas, I'm Noelle." She placed her hand in his, a soft warm palm against his larger and a bit rougher.

She gave him a wide smile as he glanced at her, his head moving oddly back and forth. Her hand stayed in his. "Are you feeling okay Atlas?" She asked, her free hand coming up to touch his face gently. It wasn't as if she knew what was going on, something was telling her she needed to be there for this guy. Who was doing the talking, well, she hadn't a clue. So fearful of being hurt again she tried keeping her distance from men. This one, well, he just seemed different.

He looked at her oddly as she asked him this, he knew he was kind of acting weird but he was perfectly fine.....so he thought but unkempt thoughts in his mind were speeding to conclusion he had no control of, he smiled " nah i'm just....thinking" he took another look at her as he lifted his mug to his lips to take another sip of the dark coffee, it tasted bitter at first but it filled him with warmth and that he appreciated right now. Looking at Noelle's hand he grinned, it seemed so very small in his soft, gent, pure, " you have very soft hands, i'm guessing you don't work in a laboring manner." he treed to act nice but labor was apart of his life if he was not moving he felt like something was going to catch up to him, so he worked, he kept himself busy, anything to get rid of that feeling.

"sorry if that seems rude...just i seem never to get my hands to stop moving, my nerves never seem to let me relax" he chuckled as he said this for it was so unbelievably true that it hurt. He took in all that was around him in that moment realizing how hectic his life had been up to this point, and for more then five seconds that glimmer of gold came back, something forgotten trying to seek its way out; the lost secret that bound him to something larger then him altogether. Though his origin was hidden from him he knew he had a secret he could always tell because in his teen years weird stuff always happened to him, of course he was bullied for this but it was what happened after the bullying that was weird, the people of whom inflicted pain on him would experience pain ten times greater.

Coming back to reality atlas blinked his eyes closed slowly then opening the gold gleam disappearing he turned to Noelle and smiled, " sorry for day dreaming....I am kind of a air head" he chuckled his left hand ruffing the back of his head, he could still not waver the feeling of not knowing something he should, each time he had opened his mouth to talk to Noelle he still felt dizzy. It made him slightly made that his body was acting like an ass in such an opportunity, it was like this in most situations his body would fritz out if a chance to meet a girl came to him...... why was he this way?

Noelle smiled at him softly, the poor boy appeared lost in his inner workings. it was something she didn't enjoy. It was dark and it was pain inside her thoughts, though she pushed the troubled thoughts away to sip from her mug again. She flushed at his statement, drawing her small hand back to wrap about her warm mug again. She licked her lips, in preparation of speaking, but he took off again on another string of words, seeming to catch his mistake almost as suddenly as it left his lips.

The stream ended and Noelle opened her mouth to respond, but caught the far away gaze in his eye. Anything she said would be lost, she knew and understood this. She studied him, he was rather handsome, longish dark colored strands of hair swung down over his eyes. The light orbs were focused far away, so intense and breathtaking. Noelle was still staring when his eyes closed, she paused wondering what it was he was thinking about.

Her smile greeted him when he opened his eyes and spoke. His face turned her way, she had to clench her hands together to keep from reaching out and touching him. "It's quite alright, but to answer your question. I am an artist. I adore painting and sculpting with clay..." She sighed and sipped her coffee again, her eyes still on him. "What is it that you do, Atlas?"

" I work on a farm. At least I used to." he said this weary, he wanted to look at her enjoy this time he was having with this new found acquaintance but each time he laid his stare upon her his body would run through with relentless chill's, trying to get his mind of this feeling he looked at the table, without looking up at Noelle he asked " so what do you sculpt, what type of art do you perform?" his words came out almost in a whisper but it was loud enough to hear. He looked away from the table and out at the scenery that lay to the side of them, he looked down the path which he had traversed only minutes before, and he caught a glimpse of a white-red dress running off and out of his view behind shrubbery, he tried another glance by leaning in his seat. But to no luck, he sighed slightly another stress laying upon his back full of pressures.

He tried again to turn back to Noelle but it seemed harder as he came to know her more, it was like trying to look into nothing. yet it held everything; if only his mind would let him lay his eyes upon her, but this was not the case for each time he looked into her eyes his turned to that gleaming gold, and the pain would come again " im sorry if I seem rude by not looking at you when I talk, I just...... I cant really explain it" his voice was raspy as if just speaking to her hurt him, a small female laugh could be heard off to the side, Atlas turned to where it had come from foreboding the events happening around him. He felt as if millions of eyes were glaring at him in contempt at his failure, as if they loved the way he fruitlessly tried to grab at the thing he was sworn never to touch, which was the case in this little scenario in which he was to play a part in. " did you....hear that" he said looking at the origin of the female laugh, the feeling of being stuck became so strong that he had to stand up.

His legs shaking he smiled down at Noelle, he probably looked like a freak right know; but he cared for he could feel a evil presence coming on its way towards them, he could feel it in the pulse of his heart, his whole being told him to run but he stood still. His body was preparing itself for something and he knew not of what it was, all he knew was that he was going to fight it.
A burning sensation ran through him as he caught a glimpse, no a flicker of movement off to his side, he tensed up as it came closer. But as the seconds passed he had an idea, and without thinking he grabbed Noelle's hand just as a black figure jumped out at him, he knew this would happen, it had happened on his birthday so why would it not happen know " we need to go!" his voice was desperate and so were his movements, something swiped at his feet in flurry of movement and without thinking of the consequences he picked Noelle up into his arms and jumped of to the side dodging an attack that would have surely killed the likes of both of them.

And then he ran, with all his might, his muscles straining as he gained yards on the beast that was attacking them.....no him, he had to remind himself that this was not Noelle's fight it was his, he had dragged her along with him on accident and know he was risking her life along with his " im sorry about this, strange shit has been happening......FUCK I should have not dragged you into this" he said this annoyed at himself as he jabbered off at Noelle, he had no reason to explain to her what was happening to her but it felt as if he needed to, because if he did not he felt like he might loose her, and for the first time he felt as if he had made a connection. As this thought passed through him he was thrown to the side into the side of a brick housing office, he gasped out as the air was pushed out of him; He tried himself to get up with no result, " Noelle...r...run in...inside" he gasped out pointing to the door to the building. He had not time to protect her, but if she could hide he would do the best he could, at least he could make a mark on this monstrosity that chose to pick this day to lay its anger out upon him.

and as he brought himself up he met the face of the beast, the smell of shit and fish filled his nostrils " damn. you are one ugly fucker." he chuckled out, his body was once again tensing for battle, the glow came back to his eyes, as well as something more something strong and emotional, he could not describe it fully although one word came to mind "chaos" he whispered it out loud as he raised his fist's not fully sure of what he was supposed to do, the both of them stared each other down waiting for one to move, to strike, to break contact.

((sorry if i took it of into some action a little to fast, but i feel like Noelle needs to see what he is before atlas truly knows what he is. If that makes any sense))

beast ((fixed))

Noelle wasn't certain why he couldn't look her in the eye, not that she minded since it gave her better opportunities to watch him. His eyes were fascinating, they seemed to almost change color. She sipped on her coffee and listened to him talk. His voice was soft. "I sculpt and paint people. I create whatever inspires me, honestly." Her voice was steady, her gaze fixed on the path he stared so intently upon. Unsure of what he was so focused upon, "It's okay, some people are more shy than others. I get it, but I must say it makes me wonder what thoughts are streaming through..." His question caught her off guard.

Puzzling, her eyebrows furrowed. Her head tilted, reddish hair moving with the action. She stood as well, a hand lifting to touch his arm, "What is it I am supposed to hear?" She whispered. His smile made her knees go weak, something gripped at her and caused her to quiver. Her eyes went wide, glancing at the thing that lunged at them, just as he took off with her hand in his. When did he even take her hand? Her shorter legs attempted to keep up with him as he ran, it was only a second more and he was yelling about them going and scooping her up.

Staring at the thing over his shoulder as he ran. "Oh my god.... what the hell is that atlas?" She asked into his ear, his response came. Even he didn't know, it wasn't good. "It's okay, It's okay." She was about to lean forward and kiss him when They were shoved into the wall as the beast caught up with them. He released her telling her to run. "No... atlas..." She whispered, tears moving down her face. But he seemed not to take it as an answer, pointing toward the door. Where was everyone? She took off in the way he pointed. The door was locked, she jerked on the door handle but it was solid.

Peering around the corner she watched him. A hand lifted to cover her mouth to keep from screaming as the thing roared into his face. It looked as though it was made of stone and rotting flesh, totally gray in color with rotting teeth and stitches. She saw his lips moving, her own moving sending up prayers and trying to calm herself. What would happen if this thing took him? She saw them staring each other down, neither moving. Darting from her hiding spot near the entrance, a piece of brick lay on the ground close by. Before she knew what she was doing the brick piece was in her hand and she was releasing it. Launching it at the beast. "Leave him alone!"

Noelle hoped that this gave him enough time to do whatever it was, he was going to do.

((Not a problem.))
