The temple laid in ruins, years of neglect left it moss covered and vine ridden. Deep with in this temple was a powerful artifact one never seen by the likes of man cause it was elven. High on a pillar sat what looked like a dragon but had a few features of a man. He was the guardian of this powerful object, made to watch it for years he sat bored out of his mind. Once in a few thousand years someone would come and try their hand in taking the artifact. He would Kill who ever came it didn't matter weather it was male or female. But in the past couple of years there was no one brave enough to come, so he's been stuck waiting for some to cross the barrier so he could be free. Though once the artifact is returned he is pulled back to the temple to stay there until someone else tries. His wings spreads as he stretches across the pillar connecting to the arch way. He placed his hands behind his head under his horns looking into the sky "it's so fucking boring being a guardian."

His ear catch's the sound of foot steps making there was towards him. Turning over to his stomach he looks out to the forest his eyes narrowing in on the person that attempted to enter his domain. He couldn't interact with the person unless they pass the barrier that held him prisoner to the temple. He watched her, eye's glued to what appeared to be a female "come on baby...cross it...let me free." He said starting to feel the ache for freedom his wings perked up as she got closer.

Kaura paused, and stared up at the huge structure in wonder, slightly saddened to see such magesty so badly neglected and left to crumble into the landscape. Lives and moss covered what must have been powerful walls at it's peak, protecting what she sought here. An ancient item that contain's the Elven gift, an ancient and concentrated source of magic that her people were exposed to mileniums ago. They were seperated at some point, and for centuries her people has been growing weaker, until their livlihood was threatened.

"I mean this place no harm." Kaura said, as she cautiously approached, stepping past the barrier. She brushed a lock of brown hair from her eyes as she scanned the area, raising her bow in defense, "My name is Kaura Vertae, I am Elf." She continued, her voice a calm low, knowing the guardian must be close, even if she could not see it, "Please, allow me in, I am on a mission of grave importance."

"Fucking yeah!" he said jumping from his hiding spot landing in front of her, dust kicking up all around him. His wing expanded to their full length flapping before folding behind him disbursing the dust to reveal him self to her. He stood 7"6" tall, on his back was a blade of great destruction it was almost as long as he was tall. Flashing his teeth to her he bowed speaking to her "I'm ZT, short for Zero Tolerance. It's been a long time since i seen the likes of your kind. What, did you use up all the magic?" he looked at her little bow along with her slender body smirking he walked beside her.

"I'll let you go in and even help you, on one condition I come with you. It gets so boring here waiting for people to wonder in my domain." He stood behind her his breath tickling the back of her neck. His fingers curled around her shoulders as he peered over her head "come on what do you say? Not like you gonna lose your freedom." He smiled his eyes glowing a bright hue of purple waiting for her answer.

Kaura tensed slightly as a dragon shot into the sky, kicking up a cloud of dust as he landed lightly in front of her. She stared up at the creature with wide eyes for a moment before she found her reserve, bowing her head slightly as he walked around her. His teeth flashed, and she could feel a wave of fear. She had not expected the guardian to be so huge and frightening, it made her realize how tiny she must appear, slender and petite, with only a long bow to defend herself.

"My people have been running out of our magic for centuries." She told him, staying perfectly still as he circled. His breath tickled her neck, and she shivered as he rested his fingers on her shoulders, looking down at her with a smile as he made his offer. Kaura paused to consider, her eyes closing for a moment. "If you are willing to assist me, I will not refuse your aid, Guardian ZT." She says quietly, "I am happy for your assistance."

"Centuries you say? Did your village send someone long ago? I remember eating someone talking about their village was in danger of running out of magic. but I was hungry and he wondered in..." He walked, his tail swishing behind him slapping the ground occasionally. "The thing you seek is deep with in the cave here, but even if i go in with you I can protect you and touch you. I can not touch the artifact tho, my hand's would burn off if I dared." He looked at her and saw how still she was being, knowing he frightens her he raised his brow. "So do they always send the timid elves to get the only thing that will save their vary lives?" He said teasing her "We're friends now right? There is no reason for you to be scared of me."

He waited for her to lead the way into the cave since it was her journey not his. He thought that with some like her there would at least be a lot of fights, cause of the many creatures that would want to take her for them selves. The cave alone held many things he didn't know about cause time changed it so much, so anything that happens in there would be a surprise to him as well as her. He knew the inner workings of the cave he couldn't tell her if she was getting hot or cold, she had to guess for her self if it was the right way. He would just have to follow her and do what he could to keep her safe for his own good.

"I honestly do not believe they sent anyone before me." Kaura told him, shifting slightly at her own lie. Her village did not send her, they had become far too fearful of the outside world to dare leave their village, shutting themselves behinf the shelter of the woods as their civilization died. She left for this journey of her owm will, traveling to save her people without the consent of her village Elders. "I am not afraid, simply nervous." Kaura told the dragon, eyeing the cave carefully as she started forward.

She started in, cautiously entering the cave with her bow ready in case anything should attack. The Dragon, ZT, had said he would protect her, and obviously that meant there were things in this cave to be protected from. Small as she was, she was not helpless, and would not allow herself to play the damsel in distress for someone else to rescue. "If I may ask..." Kaura said after a moment, glancing over her shoulder, "Why assist me, when you have eaten others who have asked no more than I have?"

Noticing the shift in her eyes he raised his eye brow wondering if she told him the truth, shrugging it off cause it was of no concern. his attention turning to her for her question he placed his arm on his second blade that hung on his hip while his hand dangled loosely. thinking of so many he has eaten in the past. what made this woman different? Being an elf? Boredom? Truth was he had no reason other then he wanted to wonder the land and see what had changed. "I'll assist you because of the simple fact I want to be free even for just a few days. only way I'm trapped back here is if the artifact is placed back in the temple."

He looked up his mind trailing to the long years of being trapped behind the barrier and all those who came to make fun of him. Teasing him with food and female Dragons, He hated the fact that they gotten their hands on one of his kind just to show her off. The site of different races coming to him not looking for wisdom but entertainment sickened him beyond belief. That was the main reason for eating ever person he ever ran into all would pay for the sin's of their four fathers. But that was the past and he had not eaten this person for he had bigger plans for her in the near future.

Kaura nodded once, "I understand completely." She told him, glancing once over her shoulder to send him a very slight smile as they moved deeper into the cave, keeping her guard up to anything that might be lurking beyond her sight. "If you would like, you could travel with me, the Elves were the original guardians of the artifact, it was lost to us thousands of years ago in a great war."

She sighed slightly, pausing as the cave split two ways. Carefully she looked down each path, trying to decide the direction to go, hesitant until she could feel a slight tugging, the almost irresistible pull of magic from the path to her right. She turned, and motioned for ZT to follow as she set down that way, still hesitant, and a little wary that they had not yet encountered any creatures that would dwell in the caverns. "If it is returned to my elders, you would be freed, right?" She questioned softly. "No longer guardian to this place, no longer bound?"

Taking his blade from it's resting place on his back he tapped it on his shoulder as he walked behind her watching her switch and sway. Her ass appealed to him the way it spoke to him telling him stories about her in ways only he could read, He was becoming restless the itch of freedom ate at him. He watched her as she went to the right at the fork in the cave feeling a different kind of aura come form further down he knew they were going the right way. The cave was large enough to fit his frame though his wings were pined in to him. the walls were coated in damp liquid that felt like saliva it stuck to his wings leaving long thin trails of clear string. He wipes his wings off waving his hand showing a face of disgust.

He continued to tap his shoulder with the blade as they walked finally answering her question. "Though that may be true long as the artifact in it self is still around I'm forever bound to this place. Be it you or someone centuries from now. If it finds it way back to it's resting place then I will be draged from where ever I am, what ever I'm doing back to this place to guard it again." His nose flared up at the fowl smell that drifted on the air, they were going the right way but it reeked of death. "You should prepare those arrows of yours. I smell something" He looks around them and even behind to see if he spots anything coming their way.

Kaura nodded slowly, "I understand, but if the source if returned to my people the elders would not allow it to leave, and if it is kept secret then no great war will separate it from us... You could live in peace for hundreds upon hundreds of years, I would personally see to it." She turned to smile over her shoulder at him, before noticing how his nostrils flared, his face contorting slightly in disgust. She turned back to look in front of them, pulling an arrow from her quiver even as the dragon suggested she prepare herself.

In one fluid motion she had her weapon raised, and took steady aim ahead, unsure what her target was. Slowly she began to notice shifting in the shadows, and the horrid smell of rotting flesh assaulted Kaura's senses. She almost gagged to it, her eyes watering slightly, but she kept her aim true... "What are they?" She choked out, her eyes flickering back to ZT.

Oddly, she sensed the power of the source emanating from the distorted bodies, their twisted forms becoming more and more recognisable as they moved into the light. Kaura froze for a moment, eyes wide as she stared, not horrified by what she saw, but what she sensed. Hatred, fear, contempt, pain... It all rolled off the creatures in waves, the dark energy attacking Kaura's mind until she shook visibly where she stood, pity rising in her as she realized more and more what the beings were.

((Sorry, rambly))

"Yes if a great war doesn't break out. Though it was taken from you once it can be done again and I'll always be threatened by that. It's sweet of you though to think of me in such high regards. Not many would do that for a stranger especially knowing that stranger could eat them at any time." He said noticing the creatures walk their way, he was still calm never faulting at the opposing force. Seeing how she froze in the mist of battle he shook his head swinging the blade from his shoulder. A great gust of wind blew past her causing the creatures to fly back landing on their backsides. Whit his frame being so much he couldn't get past her to protect her from them, he had to work from behind.

"Lost souls that tried to take the relic long ago, most of them killed by me." he said as he placed his bigger blade in front of her blocking her off from the attacks that would soon go underway. There was a small army of these dead souls making their way towards them the first five launched aimlessly at them trying to break his blade. His blade held true as the souls disbursed at the impact. Laughing out loud he pulled his side blade out swinging it with great force, hitting his first blade sent a shock wave of power surging through the cave. The souls screamed in pain as they all vanished one by one. Taking his blade up from the ground and placing the other back on his hip he smiled "You owe me one."

(it's fine gives me more to go off on)

Kaura didn't try to protest his point, she was far too struck by the horror of the creatures as they made their approach. Her eyes widened considerably as it attacked her magical senses, freezing her with the bow completely drawn back. A long moment passed and she was completely incapable of moving until the dragon drew his sword, and knocked the beasts back with one long swing.

He placed the massive sword in front of her, and when the creatures tried to attack the weapon, but where blocked. ZT laughed loud and deep, and drew his second blade. With one mighty swing he sent a wave of pure power through the cave, and destroyed all the beasts at once.

Kaura turned towards him as he lifted his blade, and put her arrow back in the quiver. "It would seem so." She whispered in a shaky voice. She turned back to the cave, quivering slightly now, "They were so pitiful." She managed to get out after a moment. "Lost, full of pain, torment, hatred... Did the source do that to them?"

"You should have seen them when they were alive. I have never seen more ready to give their life for something they couldn't have anyway. Talk about pitiful. I recall the one I said looked like he came from your village, so full of spunk that one but didn't know how to use it. He came to the temple looking for a fight with me, lil' did he know that I was ten times stronger then he. If only someone came to me the way you did they might still be living, so sad for them." He said as he followed her thinking to him self that if she keep's those kinds of actions up he will have to save her on more then one occasion and he wasn't really looking forward to that.

Though his wings protested against it he tried to stretch them behind him feeling the muscles tighten up from being in such a cramped place. He has lived at this temple for many a years but never once has he gone in side to look around if he had those spirits might not have been there. He was unfamiliar with the inner workings of the caves so he was of no use. He didn't know he would be this cramped either, god if only he knew a head of time. He could feel every nerve eat at him he needed something done and quick. "Kaura, right? can you do me that favor now? I need you to massage my wings while we walk, they're killing me"

Kaura nodded slowly, but it was pitiful all the same to her. These creatures so tainted and horrible mutilated by the source that granted her kind life, it was horribly ironic. She shook her head slightly, saddened by the realization that each of those that they would fight was a different adventurer looking for power, and not simply monster for them to destroy. She sighed, and looked at her bow, her expression troubled now. Next time those creatures attacked she would have to fight, however sorry for them she felt.

ZT seemed to have some trouble moving behind her, and kaura half turned to shoot him a concerned look. He looked like he was in pain, and seconds later he made his small request. "Of course ZT." Kaura said softly, scooting slong the walls to get behin dhim. She rested her hands lightly on his wings, and after taking in a bit of breath, started to lightly massage his muscles, using just a bit of her magic to sooth away the stress. "Is this feeling any better yet?" She questioned softly, smiling confortingly, even if he couldn't see it.

His wings seemed to shrink as his muscles loosened as deep groaning sigh was heard from in front of her. "Oh that is so much better. you have a wonderful way with your hands, wonder what else you can do." He said fluttering the tip of his wing causing a gentle breeze in the tunnels. As they continued forward he began to think what else might be in these workings with so many openings into the temple long as it wasn't humanoid it could slip in. But the power of the source could have changed them into something dangerous or deadly.

"Looks like we're coming up on another fork in the cave. I think one way lead us to the end and the other to even worse creatures then we just saw. So come back to the front and tell us where we are going." He stood pressing him self against the wall to give her some kind of space to fit by him. Feeling her body for the second time rub against him put many of thoughts in his mind, smirking he watched her his eyes seemed to glow a light tint of yellow.

Kaura watched as her magic and massage worked to help loosen the muscles that were wound so tight around the dragon's wings. He sighed slightly, and Kaura smiled at his compliment. "Next time we are attacked I will show you what else my hands can do." She said with a chuckle, touching the bow that lay across her back.

ZT paused for a moment, and pressed himself to the wll to let her pass, explaining the significance of this fork in the tunnels. Kaura nodded slightly, and moved past him again. The passageway seemed so much smaller this time, and she reached not to help balance herself as she moved, one hand on ZT's powerful arm while she pressed her body between him and the wall. For a brief second they were flush against one another, and she glanced up at his eyes shyly as she moved on past. He was watching her too, a yellow tint in his eyes, and a smirk on his face. Kaura smiled briefly, and was finally in front again, closing her eyes as she sought the source... And she concentrated, until she sensed it pulsing deep inside the cave. "To the right." She whispered, and headed forward again.

The cavern wall sunk in around his larger frame almost unable to move any further he got down low as he possibly could trying to fit. "I haven't tried anything like this since I was a hatching " He soon stopped looking at the distance they still had to go. He wasn't going to be able to make the rest of the journey in his huge state. "I'll try something my Grandsir taught me..." He took off both of his blades dropping them where they would let him. Closing his eyes an Purple aura the color of his scales began to surround him.

The walls shook as the aura became more powerful around him, the ceiling began to crumble little pieces of stalagmite falling around them. His speed seemed to also increase as he threw out his hands stopping the rocks that fell over top of Kaura's head. The power he was exerting took over all of the space eradicating all of the rocks around them, leaving nothing in it's wake. Light soon took over the darkness shadows danced on the walls and night creatures that made it their home ran for cover. Blinding Kaura when she opened her eye she would see ZT and a whole new way. When the light dimmed and his aura vanished she would be able to see him, though his form looked the same he was now smaller around the same height as her "I always hated this form..." he said picking his blades up placing them back in their respective places on his back and his side. "Let's continue, shall we?"

Kaura was briefly concerned when the cavern dipped low, and she looked back at ZT, knowing his hulking form would not be able to pass though the tiny passageway. He only dropped his blades, causing Kaura's expression to cloud with confusion, gazing up at him as he explained he wished to try an old technique. Moments later a purple aura swirled around him, glowing slightly as he concentrated.

More and more power built up, until the ground shook beneath Kaura's feet, and threatened to topple the little elf over. She did her best to keep her footing, frowning and dodging falling debris. ZT's gigantic hands extended, covering her from any more rubble as the glow around him expanded and brightened more and more... Kaura didn't look away or close her eyes, staring into the light with hardly a flicker of her eyes. She was a light elf herself, a being who fed off the energy and manipulated it to their will.

She nodded once, and bowed her head. "I'll lead then?" She asked. In the moment that ZT transformed, Kaura had noticed being of shadow scurrying away, fleeing his light. "You may want to shield your eyes." She told him, and extended her hand, creating a small orb of light in her overturned palm to light the way, and hopefully drive away the creatures.
