It was a very old legend, one that had been around for almost a thousand years... well that was what the owner, and Head Priest of the once popular Shrine said anyway. Not many people came to the shrine on the mountain anymore, only the old grandfather and the young priest in training lived there now. The Grandfather was full of old stories, but his favorite was of the supposed Demon sealed deep inside of a Cave. The grandson had never been allowed inside the cave, and the way in was chained shut and locked tight, though the Iron bars in the entrance where old and rusted, but there was no way inside. No way to see if the old stories where really true. The Grandfather knew, he had seen, but he feared the nightmares his grandson might go through if he saw it at such a tender age. Then again, it might have just have been his overprotective nature, there was really no telling with Priest Kohaku. He was a bit of an enigma even to those who had known him all of his life.

Some thought it was the sight of whatever had been in that Cave that had done it, but he was still always willing to tell the story of the Demon who had come from nowhere. Well, seemingly nowhere. It had been powerful, had been able to leap mountains in a single stride, and destroy entire villages with only a sweep of it's arm. It had looked remarkably human, but that had not stopped it from trying to destroy everything and anything in it's path. Legend said that it was Priest, Kohaku's ancestor, that finally managed to contain the Demon in the cave, and force it into crystal, locking it in a forever sleep. As long as the crystal, known as the Subjugation Stone, remained unharmed, untouched, undisturbed... then the Demon would never walk free. For over a thousand years the Demon had remained locked in shimmering blue crustal, looking innocent, pretty even, until you saw that the half open eyes where filled with a desire to shed blood, a deep need to slaughter and kill... a hatred that had forever driven Kohaku mad with terror from months of nightmares. Those glowing bloodthirsty eyes still haunted the old priests nightmares.

As legend went, Akahoshi, an ancient priest, had used the power of an ancient tree, which was now planted directly over the Cave where the Demon lay dormant, to drain the power of the Demon. No one really understood how the spiritual Tree did what it did, but it was the only reason why Akahoshi had managed to restrain the Demon in the first place. It was Akahoshi who had dug the cave, and the deep underground area in which the subjugation stone had been placed.

The Cave itself was dark and frightening, it was wet and the steps where slick and slippery. had to walk for over twenty minutes to make it to the softly glowing space less than forty feet under the spiritual tree. What he saw would no doubt stun him beyond belief. It was a massive structure of almost clear crystal. Only a faint tint of blue. From the looks of things, the crystal was growing, getting larger and larger. In the very middle was a very distorted image until he came across a rather flat place, where the image was as clear as looking through Glass. The creature really was beautiful, sexy even. She was barely dressed, wearing some strange sort of leather that looked as soft as silk. It was more of a bathing suit than battle Armor, but what did you expect from a Demon? She had large black wings, and a large tail that ended in a wicked blade like stinger, a drop of poison still gleaming on the tip. There was no flesh covering it however, the wings and tail bones alike, where completely bared to the world. She had long, pointed ears and two horns growing in her long black hair... it was the eyes though, that where the most frightening.

Half lidded, you could see blood red orbs, that stayed completely fixed on the young priest in training, no matter where she stepped. As if she was watching him. Those eyes where the things of nightmares, filled with a deep desire to rend him to pieces with her bare hands. even worse was the sound that entered the air once the young priest had touched the stone. A cracking sound. From the top of the crystal, buried in the ceiling, to the bottom, also buried, a thin crack shot down, as if cutting the Demon in half. And without any warning, the entire crystal shattered into dust, the Demon remaining frozen, her eyes still fixed on him, as if she didn't yet know she could move. That, was not good. Not good at all because as her tail uncurled and wriggled along the ground, there was a promise of death as she watched him.

Kichiro was shocked, stunned even. As he heard the sound of cracking glass. He knew the sound was not good, he knew, he just screwed up. As the glass blew up, into millions of little particles sprinkling through the air with it's own glistening beauty. Kichiro fell to the ground. There could only be three things rushing through his head in this instance. It could have been that, the women before him was intensely beautiful... That she was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. It could also have been that if she did not kill him here and now, that his grandfather sure enough will. Or, it could have been that at least the last thing he would ever see, is such a beautiful creature. Yes, he could have been thinking one of these things. But, the truth of the matter is, It was in fact all three.

His breathing became heavy... His heart beat, grew faster. Each beat thumping against his chest, as though his heart would just give out by shear pressure. He then began to think back on his life. Why was he so unlucky? Why did he always semed to have bad things happen? Only to be whisked away to live another day? Despite his namesake. He hoped, he would get out of this alive. But, at the same time had a inconsolable feeling that this would be his end, or would define his life. He was not sure which, or which one was worse. He knew only that either outcome was bad for him.

"S-So... Your the great demon." He said, as he began to stand up. He reached for his neck, and began to hold his talisman. Trying to find bravery through faith. He knew what he was going to do. But this would be tricky. And would require wit, bravery, faith... And a lot of luck. "You got this..." He said, as he began to reach towards his pocket. "Well, regretfully my curiosity has ruined years of tradition. Not only breaking many family edict's, but quite possibly my ancestor's hearts." Kichiro said, as he reached into his pocket. He began to grip the small, metal object. Balling his fist around it. "My grandfather is always warning me not to live in the past. Not to let old stories intrigue me so much. But, I couldn't listen. And because of it, I now have you to face." He took a deep breath. "So, does the mysterious demon of my ancestors past have a name?" He asked. As a small smile began to show on his lips. Yes, he was afraid. Who wouldn't be. But courage comes, from the oddest places. It comes from the oddest peole. And although, most would find courage from Narcissism, or from strength. Kichiro found it from a more natural source. He found courage, out of need. He found courage, in place of his fear.

The Demon watched him collapse with a dispassion that was almost insulting. as if she had just watched a Cockroach fall off a table or something equally disgusting. her eyes never left his, though she did tilt her head a little this way and that, checking for any other sounds in the cave. she was alert, aware, and looked completely ready to kill him... she hadn't moved yet, not even a twitch save for her head. finally she slowly started to move, one body part at a time, taking stock in which limbs where where. a thousand years was a long time to be immobile, even for a Demon. she ignored him completely as he spoke as she moved from taking stock of her body, to carefully stretching each one out, testing how her muscles had reacted to being sealed for so long. her tail moved faster than the eye could see, settling over his eye, but he had fallen just out of range. a tiny drip of poison fell, landing between his legs and sizzled into the stone, eating away at it. "You Stink of... Him." she finally hissed. "you stink of the one who sealed me into this accursed rock." she snarled, baring her fangs at him as she took a step, only to collapse under her own wait with a sharp gasp and an expression of pain on her face.

"I have been trapped for so long, even to breath hurts." she complained, glaring at him as if she wanted her gaze to skin him alive, and then watch him drown in his own blood. "I am Bashemath The Aurum." Aurum was a 'title' according to the legend. an indication of power. the Aurum was the strongest Demon of it's time, the most powerful... the King, or Queen of the Demon's. she slowly forced herself to her feet, forcing herself to stand as she stared at him. "Akahoshi is dead, that much i can tell... but you are here, and you are his spawn. so i will have my revenge upon you, your family, and anyone at all who stinks of you!" she hissed, lunging at him. but she was weak, tired, and in a great deal of pain. she collapsed again, her claws barely missing his face, though she did manage a good slice of his shoulder, tearing the cloth there. she panted as she rested on hands and knees, her tail curling around herself as if trying to protect herself and she snarled at him, her eyes flashing with fury as she dug her claws into the stone floor. Kichiro would need stitches for that wound she'd given him, but this was his best chance to bind her to an object, and thus, to him.

The boy was still frightened, but confident. He was determined to fix this. Some how. But he did not know just quite how he was going to go about it. But soon, he can see his opening. His ticket to victory. She was too weak and tired from her slumber. A breath of fresh air is let out. As the boy walked forward. To the slumped figure. Weak and on her knee's. "Yes, the Aurum. The strongest demon. Sadly, it seems your too weak to warant that title. At least at this present time." He teased. As he drew near. He needed to be quick. To ensure the safety of him and his grandfather. He needed to get this right. He was trained very well. And practiced every day with his grandfather, in the art of Taoism. To the point in which, he can bind a spirit to him. He just hoped, it worked the same with demons. And with that, the decision to bind her was made. A decision he will live to regret. Yet cherish.

He quickly pulled at hr arm. Fighting with her strength. She was stronger then he could ever hope to be. But at least in her weakened state, he can manage to place the ring on to her finger. "You may feel a small shock." He said as he let's go of her. Slowly backing away. And, with that, a shining glow began to emanate from the round piece of metal. A sharp pain pericing through her like a dagger. Her brain would feel woozy, and she would have an intense migraine. Her ear's would ring with the intensity of nail's on a chalk board. And soon... And soon the glow dissipated, as quickly as it appeared. And with that. She was bound to him.

The ring was engraved. And in it's creation he is supposed to wear it. But knew in order to control another being, he had to make them wear it instead. "It worked..." He said, in surprise. "Well..I mean, of coarse it worked!" He stood straight, now he was no longer afraid. With a deep breath, and a confident smile he spoke. " Stand."

Bashemath hissed at him, spreading her wings threateningly. that was all she had the strength for now, she couldn't even crawl away from him and she felt a stab of fear that she was finally going to die. this pathetic human brat was going to kill her. she snarled, baring her fangs again as he taunted her... not the most intelligent thing for him to do, weak or not, she had still bloodied him, and she was still highly dangerous. she snarled and struggled against him as he grabbed her, clawing at his hand and arm, cutting him up fairly badly... nothing he'd bleed to death from, but it certainly couldn't have felt good. she snarled as she was released, and moved to yank the ring off before she shrieked. in her fragile state, the pain was almost impossible to bare. she shuddered as the pain swamped her and the migraine set in and she felt dizzy, disoriented and sluggish and she wasn't sure what had just happened but she didn't like it and she would kill that infernal human for doing it! she heard him say something, but didn't catch the first comment. she did hear the order though, and much to her horror, she found herself standing before she could even think about it.

then she completely collapsed again with a cry of pain. her legs couldn't support her, no matter the control he had over her, if she wasn't physically capable of it, the ring, and his power over her couldn't make it happen. "what have you done!? what have you done to me!?" Bashemath demanded, her voice tinged with utter horror, and panic. she was yanking at the ring now, but she herself couldn't take it off. no one could, no one but Kichiro, and he certainly wasn't going to be doing it anytime soon. "so trapping me for thousands of years wasn't enough of a torture... killing me must have been too much of a mercy... now you have to subject me to THIS!? why don't you get the whips and the branding irons out now while your at it, you disgusting, foul, human bastard!" she was enraged, and frightened. she knew all too well the power of the ring wrapped around her finger. what would he make her do!? what was he going to do to her?!
