While in college she grew impatient with existing search engines and developed her own called SkyLook. Tess also created a social networking site initially to stay in contact with other academics she named SkyLog. She decided to release these to the public and was able to monetize them, starting a company dubbed SkyWare Industries. Both sites proved highly successful and Tess was worth just over a billion dollars before she was thirty. In addition to being a wealthy entrepreneur, Tess was also a notorious hacker. Calling herself “Argounova” after the protagonist of Rand's We the Living, she uncovered many dirty secrets of the government and leaked them to the media. Recently Tess's resources informed of an experiment attempting to give paranormal her abilities to humans. Such profound knowledge was irresistible to her and Tess offered both her money as funding and her body as a subject.
