The large brown grizzly slowly sauntered to the lake. His stomach was full and he was on patrol of the forest that he and his kind were to protect and keep safe for the other weres. Yes, he was a were. A weregrizzly to be very precise, a werebear if on was lazy. Highest class of protectors and law keepers. It was because of his kind that no human knew of the werecreatures that inhabited this large forest. His name was Logan Navole. He had been brought to the weretribe when he came of age and started showing signs of being a were. Sometimes were's were bitten, othertimes, they got it through their blood lines. His father was a great werebear who had taken a wife and bit her when he had found out she was pregnant. But never showing her what he was until after he had turned her successfully. But he had died not soon after and she had tried to live as normal life as possible for Logan. In case the "miracle" didn't take. Which it always did when the gene came from the father.
Logan sighed and dipped his large muzzle into the lake and began to drink. It was a beautiful night. Logan was a beta for his tribe and promising alpha. He stopped as something tweaked his subconscious. Something was wrong. Listening, he didn't hear any of his tribe sending out a mass alert. He went back to drinking when it hit him.
A shifter. A shifter and a human? He raised his muzzle into the air and sniffed just to be sure. But his nose was always right the first time around. Turning from the river that he had recently had been drinking from, he began to lumber quickly through the forest. He was grunting and snorting thinking that one of his kind was in danger. Terrible danger. He stopped and was shocked by what he saw. A shifter on her hands and knees, before a human, about to show the human what she was.
Anger shot through him faster than he thought possible. Coming out, he stood up on his hind legs seperating the girl and the human he roared into the humans face. His fur bristled and his cold ice blue eyes glared at the human. The human didn't need to be told twice to leave his lover out here to fend with a large grizzly. Dropping down onto his four paws, he looked at the girl. The shifter. Curling his lips he growled to her. He knew that she knew law. He knew that she also knew that she would have to go with him. Under penalty of death.
