A lot of times I go to someone's thread and it has where they've said "bump" like four times. What exactly does that mean?

The letters "BUMP" stand for Bring Up My Post. Typically, users "bump" their thread to the top of the page when they've added new content (new ideas, new characters, etc) or when it's gone back a few pages. There are specific rules in each section about bumping threads, so be sure to read them over before you try it for yourself.
