Nero was once protector of an ancient crystal that allowed his kind to travel through other dimensions. However, that crystal was stolen from him and he was dishonored, disgraced and expelled from his clan of dragons. He was refused a mate and was destined to die alone in his darkened and often cold cave. He had no one to talk to and often made friends with the smaller animals and creatures that would pass through his cave or use it for shelter for an evening or day depending on the weather. He was lonely and now this crystal would need to be found by a traveler whom he would meet and once their paths crossed their fates would be changed forever. Nero was often mocked as a failure of a dragon. Old clan members would tease and mock him calling him "Nero the Zero" because of what had happened to the crystal in his possession some time ago. Would he ever get a chance to redeem himself? Would he find someone who would love him for who and what he was? or would he be destined to die alone as a dishonored, and disgraced dragon.[/align]

She threw her book bag into the corner. School had been another bad experience. Even at age seventeen, she couldn't seem to fit in. Class was okay, but any time she had to mix in with the other kids, life was unpleasant. She opened her computer finding a email, the same day that she thought live couldn't be more boring. "You have entered the land of Lasos Nov. Magic and mystery abound. The terrain and the animals are unfamiliar, and danger lurks around every corner. You have been armed, armored, and instructed in the ways of the land, but there is no substitute for experience. If you want to enter click HERE". Taking it as a joke she hit the button.After that few days passed, until she received a packet from unknown person. She opened it as curiosity won her over. She found a ancient crystal in it. It seemed really strange, and she didn't connect those two things that had happened. She was trying to analyze the crystal, rubbing and gazing all around. Till it the warm of her palms triggered it up. Smoke appeared around her, and her petite figure vanished. 'Whats going, is this for real' a thought passed her mind as she found herself in a another world. [/align]
 
Nero was having a discussion with some smaller creatures that were spending the night in his cave with him for shelter, food and just to get out of the changing weather. "So they expelled you from your clan because you lost a crystal?" A small but rather fat rat asked. Nero just nodded at that. "Yes that's correct, and I've been alone here ever since...." He sighed softly. He was rather lonely and even though he looked to be mean and dangerous, he was actually a very gentle dragon if people took the time to get to know him like these other creatures and animals have done. "Don't worry Nero, you'll find love one day, I'm sure a nice pretty dragon will come your way and be smitten with you." A wolf spoke up after listening to the dragon's story. Although he wold be correct in saying Nero would meet someone soon, it wouldn't be another dragon or any creature from this world they lived in, but instead a human female.
 
Mika was still wearing her school uniform when all that happened. She froze gazing at the cave. She stepped at the cave's wall and knocked on it, it felt real. "How on earth did this happened" she said confused. "I am dreaming there was no way. I am surely dreaming" she said at herself. There was not much to do, she had to find a way out of there. She started walking at north of the cave, she though there was some noise coming from there. She was gazing around, at the dark cave feeling her bare feet touching the dirty ground. She kept walking, not believing where she ended up after clicking that silly email. The last thing she was expecting was to meet a dragon. That thought never passed her mind. She thought, or it was a bad dream or something was just making fun with her. Soon she had reach the end of the caves path, she could hear voices and felt a bit happy that someone was around. She slowly walked deeper hoping to found someone to help her out of there.
 
Nero heard someone walking into his cave. He never worried too much because it was usually just people looking for shelter of sorts. However when the girl would appear before him he would see a nice young woman standing before him and his friends. "So what kinda woman do you like, Mr. Nero?" One of the animals asked curiously wanting to know just what kind of woman Nero preferred. Honestly, he had never considered it before now since no female dragon even gave him the time of day due to what had happened he didn't have a 'type' he didn't think. Well that would change soon once he met this young woman who was venturing through his cave and home.
 
Mika finally made it closer where the voices were talking. She smiled since they were talking she though it were humans. She run fast and almost jumped at the middle where everyone was sitting and talking. It was too fast, and it took her a second to notice that those weren't humans. She froze and her skin become white like a frozen lake in the middle of the winter. What was happening, what were those creatures' her mind thought before it rolled. She couldn't understand how was it possible. She got scared and started to shake. Her mind couldnt understand what her eyes was seeing. She started bring fast and getting terrified. She fall in a panic attack and fainted at the middle of where everyone was.
 
Nero saw the young woman before him and thought she was beautiful. "My she's pretty...." He said softly. When she fainted he got up and helped to catch her before she would hit the floor. He carried her over to where he was sitting and laid her down beside him on a makeshift bed. "Well she's cute, huh Nero?" The wolf asked smiling. Nero nodded. A few of the other animals went to get water from the springs to wash her face and hopefully help her come to. "I just hope she doesn't try to run or attack us." One of the animals said softly. It was a small squirrel, a flying one at that.
 
She slowly opened her eyes, blinking confusing. She looked at them and pinched herself. "I am dreaming again" she said loudly as her mind was still running crazy. Accepting what her eyes were seen was really difficult. She remain there sitting gazing everyone. After few minutes she managed to talk "Where am I? what are you all" she asked confused as she looked around looking for a exit. She was still terrified and scared, she needed time to accept what was happening. She turned again and looked at them, as she couldn't move. She was shaking and was ready to faint again.
 
Nero smiled at her warmly. "Hello there, My name is Nero, Umm I do believe I am a dragon, not sure what they call your type, but you are in my lair, which is inside a cave. You fainted and we made sure you didn't hurt yourself. Do not fear, we aren't goingto harm you. What is your name?" He said softly. Nero smiled at the beautiful girl laying beside him. He gently caressed her cheek with his claw very gently. The wolf smiled and nodded at the young woman, "He is a very kind dragon, he lets us crash here whenever we need. I am sure he won't turn you away to go back into he cold night." The wolf explained to her. Nero smiled at the young woman.
 
Slowly her brain started to adjust at what she was seeing. When she made sure that she wasn't in any danger, she took a breath. " I am Mika. And I am a human. Usually in our realm animals dont talk. And surely we don't have dragons. That got me scared. I don't really know how i ended up here. But i have the feeling i am from another world. " she explained. "And thank you for helping me and it is nice to meet you all" she said and smile, though she was still a bit scared. "I got a crystal by mail. And after that when i was looking at him I found myself here, with out it. I don't know how i can go back at my home" she said honestly.
 
Nero heard what she said and smiled. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Mika.....you're quite pretty." Nero complimented her. He gently caressed her cheek. "A crystal? I used to protect one, but I was dishonored by my clan when It was stolen from me...." He explained. He smiled. "Nevermind about that my dear, are you hungry?" He smiled and helped her sit up in the bed. He put his arm around her in a protective manner. "If you're cold, I can keep you warm my dear, it has been a very long time since a female has come through my cave....." He admitted. True Nero had never seen a human before but he was looking her over and he found it hard to resist the young beauty.
 
Mika blushes as Nero complimented her "Thank you." she said gazing at him. It was the first time she was seeing and dragon, and specially a talking one. "Yes I am bit hungry." she admitted. She took his help and sat at the bed. She still looked lost as she was in another world. "Keeping warm sounds like a good idea." she agreed. Since she was taking to that place she wasnt having money things with her. Her flat belly purred as she was hungry and she tried to hide it. "How many years are you here Nero?" she asked "and is this place only this or you can go out of the cave?"
 
He smiled at her warmly and began to cuddle her gently in his arms holding her close to his scalely body. "Well my darling, I've been here for quite some time, at least half a century, and i'm still young." He explained. He gently gave her forehead a kiss and smiled. "As for food, we can find you something to eat. We will get a fire going and I will cook you some rabbit, how does that sound?' He smiled. "As for your question about my cave, yes you can leave the cave, but I have been expelled by my clan that is in a neighboring area, I tend to stay hidden away in here......" He explained. The squirrel spoke softly. "Nero has been here for some time, he lets us come here for warmth and shelter, he's a very kind dragon, it is a shame he doesn't have love in his life, that I think is the only thing he wishes he could have that he does not." The squirrel spoke. Nero just blushed at what his friend had said to the new woman that was now in Nero's arms protectively but he was holding her for warmth. The wolf and squirrel started a fire and then the wolf left to hunt a rabbit so that Nero could cook for his new guest.
 
She nodded her head "I understand what you mean. Alright for the time being I will remain here. Until we find a answer, how i can get back home. You can help with that right Nero?" she asked politely. "Indeed being alone isnt fair for anyone. Even Nero, and if it was for so long it was hard for him." she said smiling. She remain sitting close to the bed waiting for the food to get ready. She would look around for time to time gazing at the new place, the stuff it had around and the other animals that were there. "So do all the animals in this realm talk?" she asked out of pure curiosity them. "Can i help with something?" she said as the fire was getting ready.
 
Nero nodded at the woman. "Yes, they do." He laughed. "Do they not talk where you're from?" He asked softly. When she asked if she could help he shook his head no. "No, I never let a lady lift a finger. I believe the male should always serve his lady." He said smiling. "Hard to believe Nero is single, huh?" The wolf smirked. Nero just shook his head and finished the fire and began to skin the rabbit once he was skinned he began to cook it over the fire.
 
And she gazed around still as she pushed her long hair aside and smiled "No they aren't talking from where i come. At least not they way we humans are. They making their own sounds and have a way to understand each other but they don't talk. " she explained. She Smiled next at the wolf and nodded, after telling her Nero was singe. " Yes hard to believe it. But she will find one. there are many ladies dragon over here, he will get the right own. " Mika said smiling at them and sitting comfortable at her seat.
 
Nero sighed. "That's just it, none want me because of what had happened...." He said softly. The wofl nodded. "Nero has simply given up on finding himself a lady dragon." He explained. Nero nodded and the rabbit was just about done. He turned it over a few times then handed the skew wth cooked rabbit on it to Mika. "Here you go my dear." He said smiling at her warmly. She was beautiful and Nero was feeling something he hadn't felt in quite a long time, genuine happiness while in her presence.
 
Mika nodded and smiled at them politely "I see. Then it is hard on Nero then. But there will be someone. You cannot run into that much bad luck. " she said as she was smelling the bunny getting ready. Her belly would make more hungry noises for being hungry. She tried to shush it as she felt a bit ashamed. When the rabbit was ready, Mika took her plate and looked at it. She was never eating so much that's while she could keep a thin figure. "Thank you for the food." she said and took few bites. "It is cooked very unique way, and tastes amazing." she said as she eat one more bit. She then put the plate at the table. "I am so full." she said although she haven't eaten much, but for her it was a lot.
 
Nero smiled at the compliments. "Glad you like it, I do like to cook......but I have no one to cook for but myself, and of course my friends here when they drop in.' Nero said softly. He looked at Mika. "Mika, if I may ask. would you honor me with cuddling a little tonight? I haven't slept beside a female in quite some time...." Nero blushed at his request but he was finding her quite hard to resist. What he did next might've been out of line but he couldn't help himself. He leaned over and gave her a gentle kiss on her cheek but closer to her lips where he managed to get just the corner of her lips, it was a bit of an awkward kiss but it had good intentions in it.
 
Mika was a bit surprised with the request, at first she was around talking animals and a dragon. And now she felt that the dragon was in a way flirting with her. She smiled though and found it cute; but nothing more. She nodded at him "I have not issues sleeping with you. I hope just you don't fight at you sleep, or kick. It will me lethal." she said joking. She most of the time was sharing her bed when she was at her house, with friends she didn't have a problem sleeping next to a dragon. Actually she found it cute, and wanted to try it. "Though I don't sleep at ease. I Kick, punch, role over. When I sleep i am a dangerous creature. " she said. Nero move kissing her was indeed bold. But again she found it cute, she found it cute the way he was. But nothing more than that, was her feeling for no​

Nero smiled at her warmly. "Well that's okay my dear. I doubt you'd be able to hurt me in your sleep, and if you get a little too out of control with your punching and kicking, I can hold you in a way where you won't be." He smiled. Nero didn't mind it and in fact if she really got to be too much for him to tolerate he could hold her tight in his arms and prevent her from kicking but not in a way where she'd be smothered or unable to breathe or move. He found her to be quite lovely. "Oh yes, I also have a natural hot springs near my bed chamber if you wish to bathe." Nero almost forgot about mentioning that. He very much doubted she would want to go a few days without a nice hot bath.
 
She smiled at his words "Well you can try but still i am a wild animal when sleeping" she said as she looked around for the spring. A spring, she thought would be a awesome idea. "I'd like though to see that spring and have a bath, cleaning myself. I feel like a smell in a odd way" she said sniffing herself. Indeed she need a bath to calm down, not only to get cleaned. After everything she was through today she wanted to be able to re-think it and calm down. She stood up and walked few steps away "Will you show me the spring then Nero. Where is it?" she asked waiting for him to guide her there.​
 
Nero smiled and got up to show her where the hot springs are. "You know a bath sounds nice, would you mind bathing with me?" He smiled as he walked over to where the hot springs were located in an area right next to his bed chambers. "I can help clean you if you would let me." He said softly. He hadn't touched a female in a sexual way in som time and if she trusted him enough to let him wash her he would be quite a happy dragon.
 
She thought it a bit over, but she really didn't mind if they would bath together. She nodded at him "Yes we could try that" she agreed with him. She followed him slowly, while walking in baby steps. She was still thinking what had happened, and what would she do if she had to remain to this place for ever. Deeply she wanted to find a way back home, but until then she thought to relax and enjoy what fate would bring her in her way.
 
Nero smiled and got into the hot springs then helped her in and pulled her into his lap and began to gently wash her. "You are a very beautiful woman, you know that?" He said softly to her as he took some natural soaps and began to wash her clean as they soaked in the hot water. He sighed softly wishing he could tell her how he had been feeling but he didn't want to scare her.
