Rose Sullivan is a beautiful woman, both in looks and in spirit. A gentle soul by nature, there was no darkness within, only a rare beauty that can’t be found these days. Trustworthy, sensitive, and kind, no one could possibly come close to someone of her caliber. If any man could steal her heart…not to mention keep it for himself, he would be lucky indeed. However…it may not seem like much, but… there is a little issue. Despite all her good qualities…she has no confidence in herself whatsoever. Instead a shyness unlike any other has taken its place…and though it is cute every once in a while, it does tend to get in the way when it comes to going anywhere with her life.
“O-Oh no…I’m going to be late…” Hands dancing nervously about, her blue eyes went from one item to another, trying to figure out what else she was going to need for the day. With every move she made her dark green skirt sway about her hips and legs, only to settle down once she stopped. Luckily, Rose was pretty much ready…but she has yet to figure this out. After one…maybe two minutes of thought, she reached this conclusion, and laughed softly. “I am being silly…aren’t I?” A faint smile tugging at her lips, it wasn’t long before she was going out the door, and locking it behind her. Most people who lived in her apartment complex were already heading to work, though they didn’t pay her any attention. Of course that was to be expected…seeing as how she didn’t know anyone.
Dark brown hair flying out behind her, Rose hurried down the stairs and out into the parking lot. Though her salary left much to be desired, she still was able to afford a car, beaten up as it is. A Nissan from the 90s, there was no way she was going to get rid of it, not until it was run down to the ground. Keys jingling merrily, she unlocked the front door, climbing in rather quickly. It took fifteen…sometimes twenty long minutes just to get to the school, and well…during morning traffic, it more often than not required at least ten more. Rose didn’t have twenty minutes to spare. “Come on, come on…” she cooed, car sputtering to life at her guidance. It wasn’t long before her vehicle softly purred to life, much like a kitten coaxed into rolling over.
“Thank you…” Shifting into reverse, the Nissan pulled out of the parking space, merging with traffic just a moment later. It was chaos, what with all the idiots driving, pedestrians walking about, and yelling at one another…yet all she could do was sit there and wait. The light turned green, cars rushing forward to head to their destination.
Westwalk High School wasn’t exactly the best school in the county…but it did have a wide variety of students. Everyone is welcome here, after all. Every kind of program is taught, so there is nothing to be concerned about when it comes to their education. Rose pulled into the parking lot, her car complaining as she shifted it into park. “At least you lasted this long…” she told it with a kind pat on the dash. It wasn’t that terribly old, but it has seen better days…and it is about time she looked into getting a new vehicle. Her bag slung over her shoulder, keys in hand, she went ahead and rushed to the front door. Judging by the number of students lingering in the hallways, gossiping to friends and grabbing textbooks…she was right on time.
Rose Sullivan peeked into her classroom, only to breathe out a sigh of relief. There were students, yes, but only a few loitering about, talking and not paying any mind to the world around them. Her hand managed to find the door knob, giving it a gentle turn, which swung wide in welcome. Nobody paid her any attention as she walked to her desk and started getting ready for class to start.
