Well, apparently this was destined to be another boring day to end off a dull week of monotony and hell at Riverview High. The otters, that was what they were, as if that was supposed to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies. He was a junior, so the newness had long since worn off and all he was left with was a numb sensation as he just moved through the days, nothing setting one apart from the other. It was as if he didn't have friends, because he did. He even had a girlfriend, though he wasn't too interested in her, too clingy. He was currently reclined in a chair texting her, telling her that everything was fine between them and that she didn't need to worry about anything, that they were fine and didn't need to break up. This was beginning to become a weekly occurrence for them and he was getting tired of it. He was wearing jeans and a loose fitting t-shirt that framed his slim body nicely. He was thin and tall, the epitome of a swimmers body.
Dark hair hung close to his eyes which made his bright blue eyes stand out even more in contrast with his pale skin. Some would even dare to call him pretty. He was wondering where his teacher was, as it was five minutes past the bell and she had been one to yell if you were even a second late getting to your seat. His eyes lingered over the male who burst into the room in an awkward display. It wasn't that he wasn't coordinated, he just seemed a little lost and overwhelmed, probably a sub, he thought happily as he looked to his best friend. They shared a look and he raised his hand, leaning onto his forearms. "Excuse me, we've been watching a movie the past couple days, are we going to get to finish it?" he asked, smirking a bit. His friend piped in a 'yea' and a chorus of agreement went around the room as no one wanted to do a bunch of bookwork.
Daneas would have already been warned about this particular student. It wasn't that he was a bad kid by any means but he didn't try hard and he enjoyed seeing what he could get up to in a short amount of time and what buttons he could push without getting in too much trouble. Jake was actually very smart and aced all of his tests and quizzes though he wouldn't let anyone else know that. He liked his reputation and he would keep it up as long as he could. Then maybe he'd fuck with people by going to Harvard or some big name ivy league school. It was all just a game to him but he rather enjoyed the game. His phone buzzed again, ugh, that was probably Jenna. She got on his nerves so bad. He wasn't even sure why he still dated her, he didn't get anything out of the relationship.
He ignored the buzzing and kept his eyes focused on the man, finding that he was more interested in him than the phone in his pocket. He wanted to read the mans expression and see how quickly he could break him. He had done it before, caused substitute teachers to quit or even change schools, he had kept a running tally, actually. He was more than a little surprised to find out that this wasn't actually a sub, his cocky smirk faltering a little. Well, at least he wouldn't have to worry about his grades at all, this was easily his best subject. He settled back into his chair and waited for him to start attempting to teach. He had the first year vibe all over him, clearly this was his first class and Jake was very keen on making it one that he would always remember.
