Humiliating.
There was no better word to describe the way Kyran felt as he sat alone at table of a trendy cafe.
His head lowered so that his short auburn hair would cover his slightly flushed faced. Gritting his teeth, and clutching the bottom of the light blue skirt wrapped around his waist. It was bad enough that he’d been forced into wearing the girls uniform after losing what in hindsight was a stupid bet. But his friends had gone the extra mile, telling him that he’d have to wear the flimsy skirt all day, or until someone removed it for him…. Yeah , all he had to do was walk up to someone and ask if they’d be willing to strip the skirt off for him.
If that wasn’t bad enough, things were only made ridiculously worse by the fact that he’d also been stripped of his undergarments. A choice he’d been forced to make since his cotton boxers poked out from beneath the hem of his sister’s skirt. The only thing worse than having to walk around wearing a skirt, was having someone realize that he was a guy. Something which should have been painfully obvious as far as Kyran was concerned, but despite having shyly used the female toilets a few minutes ago, not a single person had stopped him. In fact one of the female waitresses had followed him in and asked him if he was okay.
Sighing in defeat, he sucked the last few droplets out of the glass before glancing around. Wondering where he should go next. He’d hoped to get a glimpse of one of his friends, knowing full well that he was being watched so that he didn’t breach the terms of his punishment. His ploy had ended in failure. And instead he’d futilely sat, displaying his humiliating appearance for everyone to see.
Looking around with his deep blue eyes to make sure for the hundredth time that there weren’t any familiar faces nearby, his gaze was returned by the eyes of a creepy man a few tables away. A shiver running down Kyran’s spine as it was also the hundredth time their eyes had met.
Did he know?
Would he call him out on it?
Would he call him out on it?
Feeling uncomfortable, he quickly got up. Eager to get away from the creepy man, and the curious glances he was getting after nearly knocking the table over.
Change of plans, he needed to find somewhere to hide, somewhere private where he could spend the rest of his day. Unfortunately that was easier said than done. He didn’t have enough cash on him for a hotel room, and there was no way he’d let anyone he knew see him when he looked so ridiculous.
