Someplace where depression always finds me.
Standing in front of a judge. Looking down at her. Looking at her with that pity of what she could be. Shutting her eyes, she wished for one fix before she was shipped off wherever. She heard one phrase that she didn't understand. In fact, a lot of the phrases were not making sense. She chuckled a bit and felt giddy. Why the fuck. Rubbing her arms she looked around. That was when the gavel came down. Holding her head she winced and groaned. That hurt her head.

The next day, she was dropped off in front of Serene Oaks. Her name was Bella "Bells" Montgomery. She groaned and agitatedly grabbed her hair and put it into a sloppy bun. They sent her here for driving a car into a bird habitat? Really. She was curvy. Dressed in black slacks, a black hoodie, and white shirt. She walked in and looked around as she was greeted by some chanting, singing, and people looking lost.

She checked into the front where they grabbed her things and began to go through them throwing away her pain killers and other things. She rolled her eyes as she was given barely a third of what she packe.d She went to her room and collapsed. She was given her schedule of her meetings and what was expected of her. They left and she sat up and began to scratch her head. She needed a cigarette. Getting up, she grabbed a pack of cigarettes from her bag and a lighter and walked out grumbling to herself.

Bells was a beautiful girl. 5'9. She kept herself in shape even through her "addictions."

Dr. Ryan Kronin had been a counselor at Serene Oaks for the last five years. He laughed every time he read his own letterhead, because the place was not serene, and there where no Oak trees. In fact there were almost no trees at all. The area was semi arid, and there were more Cactus then anything else. But then what's in a name. As he walked through the lobby, he saw a new resident lighting up in the hallway, and snatched the cigarette from her fingers and crushed it out. "No smoking in the building!" he said without much emotion. He handed the cigarette back to her and pointed to the door at the end of the hall. "Out that door and to the right, you'll find a patio. You may smoke there." He watched her turn in disgust and saunter down the hall, he seductively curvy hips swaying as she walked. He couldn't help but notice the creamy flesh that bridged the gap between the bottom of her black hoody which had ridden up her hips, and the top of her low rise slacks. The contrast between black fabric and milky skin being extreme. Whoever the girl was, she was different than the average patient, in that her addictions, had not yet ravaged her body and stolen her youth.

As he passed the front desk, the salt and pepper haired, six foot 3 inch Dr. Kronin was handed the file of a new patient, which he quickly discovered was Bella, the sultry redhead he had just confronted in the hall. The receptionist, Mary smiled at Ryan. The dirty blond woman had been trying for the last year to get the hunky doctor's attention, but alas today was no different, and he walked to his office with his nose in the new patient's file. This appeared to Mary to be simply diligence on Ryan's part, but unknown to anyone else in the office, he had other motives. When he reached his office, he called the desk and asked May to schedule Bella for her first consult at 8 o'clock the next morning.

She was enjoying the first few puffs when a troll came and stamped out her cigarette and handed her the remains. She looked at him with a look that said that she would end him. She didn't have anything to loose, so what did she care. She threw the cigarette butt at his head and walked out the door and sat down on the patio and brought out a new cigarette and lit it and began to smoke angrily. She pulled her hoodie close and pulled her hood down and blew out a long slow breath trying to calm herself. To say she was livid was an understatement. When she finished her cigarette, she flicked it into the ashtray outside and stood up and walked to her bedroom.

Bells was still pissed. She felt her heart racing angrily. She washed her hands as she prepared for lunch. She moved down the stairs and got a tray when she was called to the front desk. She was informed that her first meeting would be in the morning with a Dr. Kronin. Joy. Mornings. They only serve breakfast from 8 to about 930 so she would not be able to eat in the morning. But she hated waking up early to begin with. In fact, she hated this place. So, why should the meeting be different. Walking back in line, she saw they were serving grilled cheese and salad. No caffeine or coffee. No soda. What the fuck did she get herself into. Getting some grape juice, she moved to a table by herself and sat down.

Her day continued along this same way. But at night, she found that she couldn't sleep. Her hands began to shake. Thinking of how good just one drink of alcohol would be. Leaning her head back, she groaned. Soon it was time for her meeting. Standing up, she moved to get dressed in sweats and a shirt and walked down and waited to be called. She frowned looking at all the chipper help staff and quietly hated them to the core of her soul.
