Jamie sighed as he waited in the ornate room, feeling out of place. His father said he'd take him to his... His wife-to-be shortly, and that he'd have to be calm before then. Doubted he would be, though. For as long as he knew, the human and neko lands had been at war.

And now? The biggest responsibility imaginable is on his shoulders. He has to get married to their princess just to patch up their relationships. He didn't think it would, though. I mean... One marriage, ending a war? Ludicrous to even think. He sighed once more, feeling anxious as the doors swung open, the king walking in.

Back at her village in the forest Autumn was preparing herself to be taken to Jamie's castle. Now Autumn was a princess although she had lived in a village. You see the nekos had a simple lifestyle of living off the land. She was packing up a few sets of clothes along with a few other things of hers. Her father, the king, had told her about what was going to happen and she just hoped she was mentally and physically prepared.

Once she was finished packing she goes outside of her home which was larger than the other houses but still very small for a princess. Outside she starts to say good bye to all of her friends in the village. She is saving her best friend for last.

Now Autumn was a beautiful 19 year old princess. She had long dark brown hair with brownish orange and black streaks in it, bright green eyes, slightly tanned skin, and stood at about 5 foot 2. She enjoyed hunting and was pretty great at it.

Jamie was lead quite quickly to a small room with only a table and two chairs in it, facing each other. His father commanded him to wait for his bride-to-be, to introduce themselves and see how they act to each other. Simple, he thought, but sitll unwanted.

He twirled the small chain on his neck, his sadly departed mothers wedding ring attatched to it. His pitch black hair was combed into a neat and respectable style unlike its normal unruly state, tamed only by a diligent servant and a large amount of coaxing. He was dressed in the standard regal clothing he was.. Admittedly forced to wear in situations such as this, burning red and ocean blue alternating on the blazer. His pale brown eyes were half lidded, tired after a night of panicking, reflected in the slouch his thin figure had.

As Jamie's servants pull up in there carriage to get Autumn she was saying her final goodbye to her best friend. As she gets into the carriage she forces a smile and waves goodbye to the her village. She sits in the carriage and looks out the window as it moves towards the castle.

Once at the castle the servants let her out and walk her into the room where Jamie was. When she sees his fancy clothes she looks down at her own. Her clothes were made of fur and consisted of loose pants and a long sleeved shirt with a bra like top made out of soft fur under it. The servants escort Autumn to the chair across from Jamie. Once seated she looks down at her hands. "Hello prince Jamie."

Autumn was told by her father to be polite and follow the orders of Prince Jamie's kingdom. This meant going against her values but she would do it for her country and father. This was why she was looking down and responding so politely.

He blushed ash e looked at her, noting the height difference- he had about five, six inches of height on her- and stood up to bow, voice soft. "Pleasure to meet you, Princess. Autumn. Princess Autumn." He spoke rapidly, panicking slightly. He was... Unused to the courtship side of life, usually leaving such things to his sister. But, of course, now he had this to cope with.

He sat back down and met her eyes only briefly, unsure what to say. "Are you... Going to be comfortable in the castle?" He asked gently, fiddling with the chain on his neck once more, glinting slightly in the light. Still, even if they end up hating each other, she's attractive, he thought.

Her ears twitch as she listens to him fiddle with the chain. Without looking up she replies "I think I can adjust to castle life. Why are your servants still here. We don't act uncivilized like you believe. Im not going to attack you."
