Liriel was not expecting such a situation when she walked through the doors of the large, obviously well established bar. Her eyes took in the building for the briefest of moments before the drunken man's words caught her attention. Swiftly inhaling, her eyes widened as she looked at the situation that was in place. There were a couple people huddled away, all of which were obviously holding back tears of fear while the men were trying to talk to the man named Mike. The moment Dameon started talking however, it became obvious that Mikey looked up to Dameon. She listened quietly, leaning against the door jam of the building and let things unfold around her. The situation was diffused quickly, much to Liriel's surprise.
What Liriel didn't expect was for Dameon to pull out a pair of cuffs and cuff Mikey's hands together. Of course, the drunken man was too far gone to really notice the oddity of the situation, but Liriel did not, while the rest looked on like it was a normal occurrence. Alice was in near hysterics as her boyfriend (from Dameon's words) lead her out of the room. Then, of course, Dameon drew attention to her and she shifted slightly, giving a cool smile and a nod at some of the others. Her eyes then turned to Chris, the man that her brother now threatened. Her eyebrow shot up. She was used to men being inappropriate and could handle her own, but she didn't want her brother to know that. Didn't want to ruin his moment of over protectiveness...not that he was really around to be overprotective to her when she needed him most. She closed her eyes, shutting out where her mind was going and opened them again quickly, smiling as her brother walked up to her.
She let Dameon put his arm through hers, feeling awkward with everyone watching them. Was Dameon always this cheerful? She glanced at him sidelong and spoke softly. "Shouldn't you wait for the tour until the cop gets here? I mean, since you're the owner and all." Her question was meant only for his ears, not wanting to cause problems in front of the associates. Another thought crossed her mind and she gave her brother an accusing glare. "And no special treatment. I can't stand being treated as privileged when I'm here to work....got it?" She pulled her arm from Dameon's and kissed his cheek before turning to everyone and addressing them herself. "I'm Liriel. Yes, I'm related to this wonderful big oaf. But, I am here to work. And I will do my part to prove to you that I'm not hanging on my brother's coat tails. I've been working at a local bar near our parents house for the past year and a half and know my drinks as well as the way men, and women tend to act, and I know how to take care of myself. I do hope to work with each of you and that, as time goes on, we can rely on each other in this job, and continue to make this bar successful." Her eyes met those who were there, and some showed apprehension and others, a bit of respect. It was obvious she was used to being in charge of herself, and not coddled like a child. With everything said she turned to her brother and waited for him to decide what he wanted to do.
