The bonding of siblings through work. (Bri&Bigbadvoodoodaddy)

Liriel Lector was just about to go to sleep when her phone rang. The twenty-three year old beauty worked most nights at a small local bar near her hometown, and lived with them to keep the cost of living down. She paid them a minimal fee to stay and lived in the basement. Her slender fingers picked up the phone, eyes widening at the sight of the person who was calling. Of course, her long since moved away brother would call right before bed. Tempted to not answer, Liriel sighed and slid her finger over the screen of the iphone, placing it to her ear. "Hello?" Her voice was highly feminine and sensual, unintentionally, her tone low due to being tired and wanting to sleep. She twisted a strand of hair around her finger as she waited for a reply, which she got shortly after. Dameon barely called her as of a late, which was the biggest reason she had picked up, and his reason for calling was even more astounding. He wanted her to come to the city, live with him, and work for his booming business. As she listened, he explained how his previous bartender had quit due to real life and was desperately in need of someone to take his place, plus, he couldn't think of anyone who would be better suited than herself.

Liriel took a deep breath before interrupting him. "Hey Daemon, its great to hear from you and all, but I have a job, there has to be a better reason than you being desperate...Maybe like, free rent to live with you? I've been wanting to move out of mom and dad's and this would work well for me..." A small smile slid across her lips as she waited for his response. She had no idea he was planning on picking her up today to fill the position, only that he needed a bartender.

(hope this works for you x.x; kinda hard to start when im on the receiving end of the phone call. xD;; )

Things had been going great for the longest time for the twenty six year old entrepreneur Dameon Lecter after having worked for a man named Alexander Baltic for three years as a bouncer for the nightclub and bar called Baltic Delight the owner who had been in his sixties had decided to give up the club and sell it so when his favorite employee Dameon asked to buy it from him he was happy to do so. Since then the newly named Lecter’s Lounge had become one of the hottest nightclubs in the entire state. People were driving as far as three hours away just to be able to say they had been to the now legendary club.

~~One Week Earlier~~

“Mr. Lecter can I speak with you for a second” Alexander the head bartender asked curiously as she stepped inside of the finely decorated office of her boss.

“Yes of course Alexander come on in” Dameon said putting away some of the paperwork that he had been doing moments earlier before Alex had walked in.
Alex sat down twiddling his thumbs in a nervous manner “Well as you know I have been working for you for quite a while especially since I have been your best friend for a long time but I have to quit because my mom has got really sick and I have to go to Oklahoma to take care of her.”

“Well I am going to miss you a lot Alex but I understand that you have personal issue’s that you have to take care of” Dameon said standing up and he hugged his best friend lightly before watching him leave.

~~Current time~~

Dameon Lecter smiled as he heard his sister’s voice answer the phone and he said “Oh well I would be more than happy to let you live here with me sis and I’ll start you at ten dollars an hour I hope that’s good I know some of my other bartender’s make more than that but once you get here if you start doing good I’ll raise your salary. Not to mention you can keep all the tips you make in a night as well. I hope that sounds good Liriel because I really, really need your help. I’ll even come pick you up at mom and pop’s house and help you pack your things and bring them here to my house. I’ve got my basement made up to be a small apartment that has all the necessities you will need while you’re here and you can live with me rent free” Dameon said truthfully hoping that he had sweetened the deal enough to get her to come to the city which he knew would bar hard for her because it had been for him years prior when he had left home to come make a living. After having lived in the country his whole life, doing all the normal country boy things from riding horses to gathering fresh eggs living in the city had been a new experience for him.

Liriel sighed, letting her hand fall to her lap before nodding, and realizing at the same time that he could not see her head. She was apprehensive, but willing to try. It had been too long since she had any meaningful interaction with her brother, as he was consumed with his work in the city. "Fine. I'll come...and see how things run there. I can't promise I will stay. And I don't really own that much." She glanced around the room. She wondered just what he wanted out of her, but she would question him later. "Look, I worked all night, I need to get some sleep. You should probably warn mom and dad that you are coming, so they don't have a seizure." She chuckled dryly and sighed, saying her goodbyes and clicking the phone off. She stood up and looked around her room, grabbing a few important things and packing them up. She laid down, passing out and woke up an hour and a half later. A sigh escaped her lips and she grumbled slightly, exhausted.

She stood up, stumbling around her room as she tossed her clothing into a suitcase, a odd collection of cute lingerie, short skirts, revealing tops and normal every day clothing, things she could mix and match together for work and relaxing. The suitcase was full and she put it next to her bedroom door, looking down at what she wore. The mini skirt hit at the middle of her creamy thighs, and the top, though not revealing, was skin tight, showing off her flat stomach and curves. Her parents didn't really approve of what she did but she had no problem proving to them she would survive in this man eat man world. She heard a car pull up and dragged her things upstairs, much to her parents surprise and chagrin. Of course they wouldn't be happy with losing another child, but Liriel was ready for the change. Her curly platinum blonde hair flowed around her face, stopping just shy of her collarbone, giving her an almost angelic appearance in the right lighting as she waited for Dameon to come inside and help her move the few boxes and her suitcase to the car.

Dameon laughed “Alright I’ll call mom and pop see you soon sis have a good rest I’ll be there soon” he said honestly. After he hung up with his sister he immediately called both his mother and father who ignored his call and so he left them both a message saying he’d be at the house in an hour and why he was coming. Though he kept hearing his sister telling him he should probably get some sleep as well and he laughed slightly to himself. He had been used to getting no sleep since he was being called at all hours of the day and night to come and do something for the club. Whether it be order alcohol to re-stock the bar or come in to talk to one of the bouncer’s who weren’t being as polite as they should be. If a problem happened at the club the managers who were just about worthless other than his ex-manager Alex would call him up to do their work but that was what happened when you’re the owner of a place.

But instead of getting in his sleep he went outside of his beautiful two story home and walked directly to the special car garage that he had, had made. Inside of it were several cars most of them were classic cars since that was something he loved more than anything but there were a few non-classic cars such as a luxury Mercedes Benz, an Escalade and an new Ford truck. After deciding to drive the big red 2013 F-150 SVT Raptor he got inside and started the hour long drive to go and pick his sister up at their parent’s house in Corn Country which was an hour’s drive from Livingston where he lived.

After the hour’s drive was over he pulled into the long driveway to his family’s ranch house. Dameon got out of his truck and walked up to the front door where before he could even knock he could see his sister already standing inside the doorway and so he just walked inside and walked directly over to Liriel hugging her gently “So it’s been a while since I saw you” he looked over her body just taking his sister in for a moment “Guess I definitely can’t call you my kid sister anymore eh” he asked in a joking manner before walking to her room and grabbed her suitcase and a couple of boxes and walked back up the stairs and slid her things into the back of the truck before walking back inside to get the boxes but was stopped by their parents.

Alyssa their mother you could tell was happy to see Dameon after all the time he had been spent away and she walked over and hugged Dameon lightly “Oh my little DJ” she said using the nickname she had always called him since his name was Dameon James Lecter.

“Hi mom it’s great to see you again I’m sorry that I haven’t been around for a while I got really busy with the club and haven’t had much free time at all” Dameon said in a true apologetic tone since he had missed his family a lot since he had been gone “Hello pop” he said knowing from the look on his father’s face that he was quite angry.

The aging man’s face was a dark red and he huffed angrily hearing Dameon say hello to him. Michael Lecter looked at his son the hurt of his eldest son leaving to be some big shot clear in his eyes “You aren’t my son. My son wouldn’t have left us to go be some strip club owner. Your ma cried her eyes out once you let and you could care less. Not to mention you were a horrible role model to your sister who tried her hardest to be just like you. If you’re taking her with you get her stuff and get out I don’t want to see your disgraceful face in my home again” he slowly walked over to Liriel who was his pride and joy and kissed her forehead “If you ever wish to come back princess you are always welcome to live in my home” he said hugging her.

Dameon pulled away from his mother and smiled at her “I love you mom” he said happily as he walked back to Liriel’s bedroom and got the rest of her things picking them up with ease he carried them outside and placed them in the back of his truck as well before walking back to stand beside his sister “Alright hunny take as long as you need in here sis I’ll be waiting outside in the truck” he said walking back outside once more and he got inside of his truck since his father was pissed at him. Which was kind of ridiculous since all he did was leave to live on his own in life and he didn’t own a strip club. Just a place that people could come to dance, hangout, drink and have fun but apparently to his father that was a sin.

Liriel was completely stunned at the sight of Dameon. It truly had been a long time and she shifted uncomfortably as his eyes slid over her, making the slight joke of growing up. That was something she could deal with, a smart alick remark slipping past her lips at her older brother. "No you can't. Gonna have to fend off the hoppers." Her lips curved into a smile, glad to see that he still joked around like he always used to do before turning as her mother came through the door of one of the other rooms to hug Dameon. Then, the shadow of her father loomed in the background, Dameon's arms around his mother, making her look fragile and small next to him. Liriel could not help wondering if she looked that way, standing next to him, but she brushed the thought aside as her father spoke to Dameon. It was no secret that her father was angry about the situation, but this was too much. Her lips dropped open and when Dameon said he would see her at the car, she nodded woodenly, waiting for the door to close before turning on her father, eyes flashing angrily.

"Poppa. How could you? How can you stand there and tell me I can come back at any time when you won't acknowledge my brother? He chose the path he chose because he's a human being who needed to figure himself out. So, until you decide to work things out with him, don't expect me to be moving back here at all. I love you Poppa, but this is not right..for anyone in the family." She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek, still angry with her father, but deciding to not be completely harsh and not say goodbye. She hugged her mother, who was tearfully holding onto her baby girl and slipped out the doorway to the car.

The truck was gorgeous, and Liriel could not help but be a little envious of the vehicle, but she kept it from her features as she climbed into the passenger side of the car and nodded at Dameon. "I hope you didn't take his words too harshly...you know how he is..." Liriel nearly face palmed at her nervous need to justify her father's actions to her brother. She hated this sort of conflict, and she didn't want to be part of it. The engine of the truck roared to life and Liriel put her seat belt on, drumming her fingers restlessly against the door frame. She was still tired, but sleeping was not an option. Her eyes gazed out the window, trying to keep her mind to wandering over the fact that her brother not only looked good, but smelled good as well. Nothing was more appealing to Liriel than a guy who was cleanly dressed and smelled good, and, although Dameon was unkept due to rushing from work to here to get her, he still smelled amazing.

“I know that dad doesn’t like the fact that I grew up and got out from underneath his thumb. But he doesn’t see all the things I do for everyone here. When the farm went under last year and was twenty thousand dollars in debt. As soon as I heard about it I went and anonymously paid the debt off because I knew he’d never have taken the money from me because in his mind he would think I was trying to buy his love and affection but I’m really not sis I really just want my family back as a whole. I’ve sent letter after letter to all of you hell I even sent you a letter asking you to come and stay with me for an entire summer because I bought you a car for your sixteenth birthday but dad refused to let me give it to you but as soon as we get home I’ll show you your car I hope you like it” Dameon said as he continued driving the scenery around them was beautiful. Since they were still in the country they were surrounded by corn fields and there was even a stand for flowers that had just about every kind of flower that could be thought of. To the left of them was a huge cornfield that went on for miles.

Soon time had flown by and they were now driving down the long driveway to his beautiful home which was actually quite large for just one man but he hosted a lot of parties for people and so he had decided since he had the funds he would get a bigger house. He parked in the garage once he was done and got out of the truck walking immediately to the beautiful Mercades Benz and patted the hood “I bought this for you brand new for your sixteenth birthday and wanted to give it to you but dad didn’t want me around you at all so” he grabbed a pair of keys and tossed them at Liriel happily “Happy belated birthday sis I hope you love this car because I’ve done a lot to it. I’ve had it painted in your favorite color, had heated seats put in as well massaging seat so if your back hurts. I had new comfy seats put in as well” Dameon said smiling as he waited until his sister got to him and he hugged her to him and kissed her forehead lovingly “Shit” he mumbled angrily as he heard his phone ringing “Mr. Lecter speaking how can I help you?”

A woman’s voice rang through the phone “Dameon this is Christine we have a huge problem here at double L Mikey’s back and he’s going on a rampage. He’s already and knocked out Seth, Adam, James and Chris and now he’s threatening to hurt Alice” she said in a worried tone.

Mikey was an ex-employee that had been with Lecters Lounge from the start Mikey was actually the guy who had helped get Dameon hired when he worked as a bouncer for the original club owner but Mikey had became an alcoholic and was doing more damage to the business than helping it son unfortunately Dameon had to fire him.
“Shit alright I’ll be right there Christine have Robert try to calm the situation down long enough for me to get there” he said honestly as he hung up the phone “Hey we’re having a problem at the nightclub I got to go take care of some business would you like to come. I can show you where you’ll be working after I take care of the problem we’re having” Dameon said smiling at his sister happily.

The car ride was rather peaceable as Liriel grew more comfortable in her brother's presence. She could understand his opinion of her father and was thankful that he had stepped in and helped their family, knowing that he was right. Their father was a stubborn old codger who didn't like to accept help, especially from the one he shunned. As the two rounded the corner to Dameon's house, Liriel was certain her eyes would pop out of her head. It was huge! She wondered just what she was getting herself into as she watched them pull into the driveway and the garage opened to show many different cars. Honestly, when Dameon had mentioned buying her a car, Liriel was certain he was bluffing, but when he threw her the car keys she could barely react, and fumbled to catch them, near cradling them between her hands. "Dameon...you shouldn't have bought me such a nice car...a small economic car would have been more than enough..." Liriel floundered for words, only to have her eyes drop to Dameon's pocket where the sound of a cell phone originated.

Letting him talk in private, she looked at the car, eyes studying its beautiful curves and the way it would probably drive, knowing it would be the most fantastic feeling driving this vehicle. She heard him tell whomever he was talking to that he would be right over, and her eyebrow quirked up slightly. Over where? His work she assumed and she blinked, her blonde hair falling into her face as she ducked her head, realizing she had stopped staring at the car and was now staring at her brother. At his question, and seemingly bubbly personality, though why he was so excited, was beyond her, when there was a problem going on, nodded. "As long as I won't be in the way Dameon. Sure I'd like to see your business." She followed him to the car of his choice and slid into the passenger side, now wishing she had thought to change. She wasn't sure she wanted her first impression to be her short skirt that showed her lithe legs and the tight shirt that hugged her curves, but they'd see her gussied up a lot working at the club.

Dameon chose a nice early sixties mustang to drive to work and he started the car as his sister hopped in beside him in the car and he said “Listen when we get to the club I need you to get inside and get to safety as soon as possible. I want to show you the place where you’ll be working but right now I have an ex-bouncer who is in the building going crazy. Good God I knew that hiring Mikey in the first place” he said the last part more to himself. He pulled out of the parking lot and drove fifteen minutes before pulling up to a huge building with flashing lights out front that said Lecters Lounge “Alright we’re here baby sister” he said parking the car rather quickly and jumped out of his car before running inside to his club and he saw Mikey who was still holding Alice.

Mikey stood there holding Alice in a chokehold and threatening her “I’ll kill her. I’ll fucking cut her throat” he said pulling a large knife from his pocket and placed the knife against the young bartender’s throat.

“No, no put the knife down Mikey come on man it’s Dameon” he said calmly trying to diffuse the situation without anyone having to get hurt.

“You hurt me Dameon why did you fire me I was one of your best friends and you were my best friend” Mikey said slurring his words obviously drunk which explained why he was doing what he was doing he dropped the knife onto the floor and lifted his hands up into the air.

“Go stand with your face against that wall and your hands behind your back Mikey and this can go down easier” Dameon explained as he stepped forward.

“Alright sir” Mikey said as he went and placed his face against the stone wall and held his arms out from behind him.

Dameon walked forward and took out a pair of handcuffs from his belt and placed them on the wrists of Mikey before sitting the man in a chair “Christine go call the police and tell them what happened. James now that you’re awake please take your girlfriend Alice into my office and get her calmed down she has went through a hellacious even” Dameon said honestly before turning around to see his sister standing in the doorway “Alright now everyone this is our new employee my beautiful baby sister Liriel she is going to be our new bartender” he said introducing her to everyone and immediately looked at Chris the bouncer “And you listen here Chris I know how touchy feely you get with our new employee’s if you touch my baby sister I’ll break every fucking bone in your hand understood” he said getting face to face with the man who was twice as large as he was.

“Yes sir I understand” Chris said smiling at Dameon.

Dameon walked over to where his sister stood and he linked arms with her “Now dear girl let me escort you around the place” he said with a smile as he began walking around with her showing her around the club.

Liriel was not expecting such a situation when she walked through the doors of the large, obviously well established bar. Her eyes took in the building for the briefest of moments before the drunken man's words caught her attention. Swiftly inhaling, her eyes widened as she looked at the situation that was in place. There were a couple people huddled away, all of which were obviously holding back tears of fear while the men were trying to talk to the man named Mike. The moment Dameon started talking however, it became obvious that Mikey looked up to Dameon. She listened quietly, leaning against the door jam of the building and let things unfold around her. The situation was diffused quickly, much to Liriel's surprise.

What Liriel didn't expect was for Dameon to pull out a pair of cuffs and cuff Mikey's hands together. Of course, the drunken man was too far gone to really notice the oddity of the situation, but Liriel did not, while the rest looked on like it was a normal occurrence. Alice was in near hysterics as her boyfriend (from Dameon's words) lead her out of the room. Then, of course, Dameon drew attention to her and she shifted slightly, giving a cool smile and a nod at some of the others. Her eyes then turned to Chris, the man that her brother now threatened. Her eyebrow shot up. She was used to men being inappropriate and could handle her own, but she didn't want her brother to know that. Didn't want to ruin his moment of over protectiveness...not that he was really around to be overprotective to her when she needed him most. She closed her eyes, shutting out where her mind was going and opened them again quickly, smiling as her brother walked up to her.

She let Dameon put his arm through hers, feeling awkward with everyone watching them. Was Dameon always this cheerful? She glanced at him sidelong and spoke softly. "Shouldn't you wait for the tour until the cop gets here? I mean, since you're the owner and all." Her question was meant only for his ears, not wanting to cause problems in front of the associates. Another thought crossed her mind and she gave her brother an accusing glare. "And no special treatment. I can't stand being treated as privileged when I'm here to work....got it?" She pulled her arm from Dameon's and kissed his cheek before turning to everyone and addressing them herself. "I'm Liriel. Yes, I'm related to this wonderful big oaf. But, I am here to work. And I will do my part to prove to you that I'm not hanging on my brother's coat tails. I've been working at a local bar near our parents house for the past year and a half and know my drinks as well as the way men, and women tend to act, and I know how to take care of myself. I do hope to work with each of you and that, as time goes on, we can rely on each other in this job, and continue to make this bar successful." Her eyes met those who were there, and some showed apprehension and others, a bit of respect. It was obvious she was used to being in charge of herself, and not coddled like a child. With everything said she turned to her brother and waited for him to decide what he wanted to do.

“Yes, yes of course Liriel you as always are right my dear sweet sister I should stay here since they will want me to sign some paperwork. Not to mention I will also have to give a statement about what I saw when I came in” Dameon said honestly as he looked at his sister and so he went to sit in the chair that was at one of the table “But don’t worry Liriel my dear sweet sister no one is safe around here so don’t worry family or not if you do not do your job I shall fire you. Trust me I’ve had our cousins Rebecca, Alisha and Sara working for me and when they failed at their duties I fired them without cause. I have worked many years to earn the trust of every single employee I have and it definitely makes for a better work place because of it” Dameon said smiling he had learned a lot since he had one left the house to make his life better and two by running his own business. Dameon turned slowly though to look away for a second though to look at a very beautiful blond with stunning sapphire blue eyes and he said “Lauren darling could you please make me a scotch on the rocks please I am feeling quite parched.”

“Oh no she’s here” one of the employee’s mumbled under her breath as she looked at a gorgeous redhead walking through the door she forgot that Liriel would’ve been able to hear her.

An absolutely beautiful redhead with stunning emerald green eyes walked in the door her hips swaying as she did so. She walked as if she owned the place, slowly she walked over to Dameon and sat on his lap kissing him lovingly “Oh hey sweetums how are you doing today aren’t you almost ready to open?”

“Hello Lizzy darling we are going to open up in fifteen minutes after the cops get here and leave. Mikey was in here after hours since he used to work here and was drinking and I guess he went a little crazy and when I got in here he had a knife to Alice’s throat” Dameon explained to his girlfriend.

“Oh dear that poor girl is she alright” she asked worriedly “Oh who is the new girl” she asked pointing directly over to Liriel.

“That sweet young lady just so happens to me the famous Liriel Lecter my dear sister who I have told you so much about” Dameon said smiling at Lizzy.

“Dameon the cops are waiting outside for you” Chris said coming in with a bow.

“Oh alright. Darling why don’t you get acquainted with my sister while I talk with the cop’s you two are going to need to get to know her if we’re going to be married” he said standing up sitting Lizzy back in the chair as he slowly made his way past Liriel and outside to talk to the cops.

Lizzy got up and walked over to Liriel sticking out his hands “Hello Liriel your brother has told me so much about you. You’re a very, very special person in his life he never ever shuts up about you” she said smiling “I am Elizabeth Dameon's fiancée but you can call me Liz, Lizzy, Liza, Beth, Izzy or just really whatever you want to call me all I know though is that I am honored to finally meet you.”
