Growing up as a Luxuria demon was never easy. Sure, she didn't have to deal with the raging mood swings or jealous rages that others of her species would, but her mother had a horrible habit of forcing paranoia into her to keep her true self, or her future self a secret from the outside world. She kept herself as disciplined as possible just so she could control herself when the time came that her powers would wake. Katrina never thought they would with how slow her life seemed to be progressing, but when she turned 13, she was proven dead wrong. Not only did puberty strike, but as did her powers. Her life went from manageable to worse in a matter of days.

Her first master met his end with the help of a brick wall and a large Ira demon by the name of Rax. He was an enjoyable sort, the life of the party, but not always the most agreeable. Especially when you decide to treat a lady like property instead of the lady that she was; contracted demon or no. After that incident, she saw the man once or twice at the random party between masters, but there was nothing that could become serious about either seeing each other or more. Kat was tied to a new, very jealous master who was using her as arm candy in the worst of ways. This night was no different.

1950s. The Cold War was in full swing, leaving Russia on its own and several of its people caught inside of a nation they did not love. Katrina had been in one city for far too long and was looking for a change. She had convinced her master, a man by the name of Leonid, to move back to the great city of Saint Petersburg were she had once lived. For whatever reason, the man agreed, but he needed to take a look at what was in the area first. So the two of them made the trip and found a good, powerful coven in the area to approach about joining into. Attending a circle was the first step and after gaining permission from the coven head, through whatever, almost illegal means necessary, Katrina and Leonid were there that night, the man holding every plan to impress the leader and those inside just so he could join and bring his dear, sweet demon with him.

The Vilvadi Clan was an ancient family of humans that were tasked with the Enforcing of the main Edicts of the Covens, from the times of Untime, when humans spoke freely with demons and angels alike, those simple times left only behind in ancient texts few could read. Only the main family branch was granted access to these scriptures, and as such, Viktors father was.

Viktor was born to a son of the Head and his mistress, with no amount of love between them. His mother left shortly after dropping the boy newly born at his fathers door step. As such, a war hardened man was left to tend to a child, who was passed throughout the Coven as he grew up, until he ended up back with his father.

The war veteran was a well trained Enforcer, who decided to see what Fate had decided for his boy, if he was being now forced to claim him. And with a simple prick of blood, the Seer of Fate spoke of great things of the boy, sealing his fate in his fathers eyes.

He would be an Enforcer, and the greatest there was.

Going deeper into the ancient texts, he found ways to force potential out in young souls, so that you could train them to their peaks earlier. Ignoring the warnings the text spoke of doing this, the man did rituals and training with his son, forcing the boy to learn his powers before he was ready to. Forcing him to attend Coven meetings so that he could see the horror that happened in them. Forced him to join the man in battle, to kill betrayers of the Coven Seal.

As the boy grew up, he was hardened by the world his father showed him, with no love of anything but the sharpness of his sword, and the barest praise his father gave to him when he did something well. Yet still he was forced to push more and more, until his father alone could no longer teach him of his own powers. So Elders of the Coven began to tutor him, which had him seeing more and more horror filled things in his young life that could never be unseen. By the age of 18, he was a cynical and bitter youth, that was never seen to smile, and always wore the Enforcers uniform, no matter where he went. He no longer had a face, and some even said he no longer had a soul, given the violet tinge his eyes nearly permanently had now.

He was taught all along about demons and how they were to be treated and what was acceptable in Covens and such, and was also told about the Cold Wars going on. For on the surface world, there was a Cold War happening between the world and the Motherland-- but below the surface, a cold war waged within the Motherland herself.

The Sorcs were gaining power quickly, and would soon be a challenge for the Vilvadi, if they were left to grow. And with the Sorcs almost uncanny ability to recruit, their teachings were spanning wider and wider areas, infecting other Covens and taking over entire families in time.

So when a family wished to ally themselves with the Vilvadi, they sent their best to oversee their Coven for a time, to see if they would be worthy of joining the Vilvadi Seal and be trained as an Enforcer.

Viktor had been an Enforcer for only two years, when he had reached his cap on his power, the Coven Heads saying that the only way he would gain more power was with the help of a demon, and with the Sorcs claiming and contracting them all faster than the Vilvadi could find them, they had yet to locate a proper match for him.

The man, now 20 years old, was not concerned by this at all, though he kept his eyes open for possible demons being freed during these Coven raids he was doing lately.

Wearing his black Coven cowl and robes, with the royal purple sash and seal of his Familys Crest, bone skull mask covering his features as usual, with a sword always at his side, the man looked less like a human and more like a god of death, with violet eyes glowing from the darkness within the sockets of the mask, giving the illusion the skull had glowing eyes as he stepped into the Covens circle.

Viktor stood by the side of the ritual area as a bystander, where the Head of the Coven could approach him if he saw it polite to do so, ready to observe this Ritual in the place of the usual Enforcer that did this area, whom Viktor was almost positive had been accepting bribes from Dark Covens....

Arms crossed over his chest, the man exuded power, as well as a steady air of Do Not Approach, as his glowing violet gaze scanned the proceedings.

Unlike Viktor, who came up in the nick of time, Leonid had been around for several hours before the meeting, getting a chance to talk to the others in the coven as well as to get to hear about the area. He hadn't been in the city since he was a child and now that he was back, he was interested in what he had missed. Almost as soon as they came in, he sent Katrina away to the side of the room, choosing to ignore her for most of the night until she was needed for the ritual. A few other demons were put in the same place, gathered around each other to give them some sort of sanity, speaking in hushed tones in their own slag of the demonic language they had grown up speaking. Katrina made sure to leave out the Sorc surname of her master, not wishing to make things worse in the room.

When the Enforcer entered the room, the entire air changed. Almost every set of eyes turned to the man, hesitating before they broke away. That was a good sign that the circle was about to start. The leader stood up from his seat, nodding towards Viktor before turning to his coven, holding his arms wide to greet them. "Good evening. Let us begin."

Those in the room approached the circle, standing in the proper spots with their demons at their sides. Only a handful actually had one, but those who did held them with pride and made sure to flaunt their power to others. Leonid made it a point to flaunt his demon towards the Enforcer as an extra silent laugh in his face. Being a Sorc, this was an important position of power and to know he was above a member of the Vilvadi family, it gave the chance that this coven could turn to 'his side'. The circle went on without a hitch, following a basic pattern of giving thanks and an introduction to a new member. A young boy, only about 18, was being brought in as a regular member of their family. There was much joy to be had. Leonid knew he had to act quickly now or it wold be too late. It may have been as it was, with the Enforcer there and all.

By the time the circle was over, Leonid had some sort of plan in his mind. He wasted no time in greeting the new boy and introducing himself. "Leonid Sorc. I was hoping to be able to ask you a few questions." The teen, who obviously didn't know any better, agreed with a smile and the two of them moved to the side of the room to sit down and have a chat.

All the while, Katrina was left along with several of the touchier members of the coven. She did what she could to pull away and return to her master, only to have a swift order put over her. "Get back to that spot," he demanded, waving her away from him and straight back into the arms of the men. Being as she was, Kat wasn't going to let them go without a show and some sort of polite posture and words. She was a lady, after all. About the time things began to get out of hand, Leonid was having his own issues. The boy was set on joining the other side. He wouldn't stand for that... not now. So without thinking about it, he made quick work of the child and returned to the room no his own.

Viktor stood to the side, watching with a curling lip at how the men flaunted their demons as if they were all that made them powerful, scowling down at them from his position in the ranks, unaffected by the special attention the one male tried to give him.

Overall, he woudl have liked to say it was uneventful. Until afterwards, when the neophyte was indoctrined, the Sorc led him away. The man could hear every single conversation in the room as if he were right there next to them, so he hadnt missed the words. Talking was not at all forbidden, but Viktor was having that creeping feeling he got when he could feel Death approaching, and without a word he kept careful watch....

The woman that the Sorc had brought was a divine looking creature, though being a Luxuria, she had better be the best looking thing in this room. It was her soul purpose after all. Just like every single one of these peoples soul purpose was to irritate him and make him stand through the millionth ritual he had seen in his short years.

But as such a beauty, he noticed afterwards that the mingling seemed to vortex around her, and not one or two hands stayed away from her as she was forced to stay in that spot, an ample distraction while the Sorc tried to work his influence over the boy.

But the boy remained strong throughout, and Viktor would have offered him a chance to join their ranks easily, if it hadnt been for the swift end that was dealt the boy. Like a cold breeze, Viktor felt the chill of death in the air, his own breath turning to a slight fog under the mask as he gripped his sword.

Killing unprovoked was as Dark as one could get, and this Sorc just showed his true colors. All thoughts of the Cold War betweent he families and all political reasoning were fled from his mind as he reacted on simple reflex-- as soon as the man stepped intot he room, Viktor flashed himself before the man, and with two quick slashes of his blade, first his contract was severed, and the next, his head. Wiping the blade easily on his robe, he sheathed the sword, walking past the body that had yet to fall, to kneel next to the boy. He managed to revive him with a bit of effort, though let him rest, getting up to walk past the standing body again, this time nudging it so that first the head fell, then the body crumpled to the ground.

"By Edict 407, Thou shalt not shorten the lives of those who mean you no harm, I have found Leonid Sorc guilty; punishment contract severing and beheading, completed on this day before this audience of witnesses, by Enforcer Vilvadi the sixth of the Main Seal. Damages done have been reversed, with the demon of the deceased being seized by this Enforcer for questioning. End of diction."

With that, the man simply gave a small bow to those still staring, and walked up to Katrina, grabbing her by the arm roughly and flashing them both away to what could only be described as the basement of a castle, more akin to a dungeon than anything, with iron bars casing them inside a room with a simple circle inside it. Once inside, he let her go, backing up two steps from her to stand at the door, as if a robot instead of a human, the blood of her master still damp on his robes.

Katrina turned her head when her master returned, ready to do whatever was needed to get away from these men. A few were attractive but for the most part, they were just there to grab her and hurl disgusting comments towards her, simply because her master had told her to stay put. She was about to excuse herself again when the Enforcer stepped in and severed her contract. She froze in her spot, the feeling washing over her like a bucket of ice, and gasped when the man's life was ended. She had seen death before, and much more gruesome with her first master, but that didn't make it any less welcoming to watch. The man worked like a machine and just as swiftly moved on to the proper words that really mattered.

The coven leader didn't move or didn't argue. Leonid wasn't offically part of his coven and he had killed one who was. This was perfectly acceptable in his eyes and allowed the demon to be taken away. If they wanted into the family's protection, this was what he had to do.

The woman didn't have a chance to think. In just a minute, her contract was broken, her master was killed and she was taken to another, very unfamiliar space. Bars and a well made circle surrounded her, bringing mental pain to her mind at the idea of being trapped again. The Luxuria lashed out, slamming her slender body against the hidden wall of the circle, a growl erupting from the deepest part of her body. "Release me, Enforcer!" she demanded, repeating the action until she was out of breath. She didn't stop completely, letting her eyes settle on the masked man in front of her, her demonic sound turning into one far more house cat-like than a lion. It rumbled through the room, show her distaste for the man, what he had done and the situation she was now in.

"No one cares of your old ways. Now release me to go on my own!"

He watched dispassionately as the demon wore herself out by slamming against the circle, snarling like the feral beast he thought she may have been if left to her own devices... and sure enough, she was only proving his thesis correct. As soon as she was out of breath enough to stop the incessant growling snarls and lower herself to the low toned growl of a cat, she bit out her orders for him, to which he simply stared at her, violet eyes sparking.

"As of Edict 9-3 of the War Factions Amendment, I cannot allow you to be released without protection, lest you fall into the hands of another that would use you against the Vilvadi and the Ancient Rites of Enforcement in a surveyed effort to uproot the Dictions set out by God himself. If you comply with this amendment, you shall retain your life, if nothing else-- if you chose to continue to request your freedom, than your life will be forfeit, for the protection of Order. Do you have any questions of the dict being quoted, or the terms set before you?"

It was a automatic sounding display of knowledge, power, and blackmail. If she continued to fight them, he would kill her. If she agreed, she would have a new Master, and most likely one of the Vilvadi clan. And if this one was any indication, they may not be the best company for a Luxuria demon; as much passion as she felt in that moment, it was as if Viktor had not a single desire in the world, literally void of them all as he dished out amendments and dictions that were beaten into him as a child. It as barely a human that was standing before her, but a husk of someone that could have been greater still, if they had the heart in it. Like his mask, he was hollow, a skeleton. A very powerful skeleton, the very room filled with that aura of pure energy, yet still no drive behind it.

Power for the sake of power, with no will of his own to use it for anything but what his family had told him to.

Katrina's eyes narrowed as he dribbled on with commands and the typical paperwork list of details. She was scanning him with her eyes, doing what she could to dip into his mind and search for something to use against him. Nothing was there, which only made the demon search that much harder, looking for exactly what he wanted. Still nothing...

The demon drew back from the edge of the circle, looking him over with a hint of curiosity or horror of some sort in her eyes. No one was like this... no one human could survive like this. Void of desire or feelings in general, it seemed impossible. The tone in his voice sent shivers down her spine which she visibly twitched at, working to shake off the haunting feeling setting over her.

"I have done nothing," she pointed out, stepping back towards the edge. She couldn't give up this early. She just couldn't. "I have no business with your family now nor with the Sorcs. I am officially out of your grapple and never want a part in it again." Her hazel eyes narrowed again, moving over the mast to meet Viktor's own. "Those Edicts you speak of only matter to you humans. Because of your killings, our numbers are dwindling..."

She looked him over once more before meeting his eyes again. The growling came to a halt as she lifted herself to her full height, taking the Enforcer head on. "I will not bow to your family. But I will not argue either."

There was no way she was going to let them take her that easily, not without as much fight as she could manage to put out.

"You have accepted the conditions and have chosen to comply, a wise choice. The Edicts should matter to you just as well as humans, as they encompass your treatment as well. If all followed the Edicts as Vilvadi does, then your numbers would be flourishing."

He shifted so that the hand on the hilt of his sword went to his side instead, looking the woman over, calculating stats about her before coming to a conclusion, nodding once.

"We do not require you to bow. Only to accept one of us as your Master and protect you; the Fate shall choose your Master, and with your word of no arguing, I do not foresee any trouble for you in this. Until further action, you may rest here, now that compliance is assured. I will return for you when it is time."

He waved his hand once, his eyes flashing violet brightly under the mask and the bars of the room melted away, the illusion broken, and with a simple scuff of his boot, he broke the circle holding her captive. Then he took two steps backwards and stepped backwards out the wall.

The room was ornate, with a large fluffy bed fit for a Queen with canopy drapes, a bedside table with a lamp, a table to the side with food and fruits on a platter, knife and fork resting there along with goblets of drinks in decanters. Overall, it was as if she had been in prison, and then dropped in a Royals Quarters. All the exits were warded heavily, so much so that she would never be able to leave if someone didnt let her out, though the room was large enough to have its own living space, television, movie selection, bathroom with jacuzzi tubs and scented candles and oils and such.... it was all extravagant.

Nearly the complete opposite of the man that had left her there.

((Shes going to be in there nearly a day with no one checking in on her or anythng, but food with varying dishes will show up on the table.))

When the circle was broken, Kat didn't move. She remained still inside of the markings, eyes settling on the Vilvadi in front of her, taking a deep breath or two as he let her free and left her in the room alone.

Slowly, her eyes feel, letting the events of the night flash through her mind again before raising her gaze to look around the room. It was... impressive, to say the least. Not what she was expecting to be trapped in. The way the man had said it, it seemed as if she was going to be trapped in that circle until they made their decision, but this was so much better. The idea of a fate making up their minds didn't exactly make her feel god about things, but she couldn't argue that. They were used for plenty of things since she was a young girl. It was how many people worked. Who was she to judge?

She could feel the wards pulsing around the room when she closed her eyes, taking in the sounds and smells. Her senses were nothing compared to that of a Gula, but they had enough power in them her her to get a general feel of the room. The fruits called out to her first, choosing to go after them before giving the room a good look over, sinking her teeth into an apple.

Hours later, after eating the food that had appeared on the table, the Luxuria demon took a long, relaxing bath, complete with candles and several of the oils in the bath before wrapping a bathrobe around her and returning to the bed room, falling onto the bed with a sigh. Something told her she would find out her fate the next day and instead of worrying about it, Kat removed the robe and sank beneath the sheets to sleep surprisingly well that night and well into the next day.

The next day, very early in the morning morning, there was a series of soft knocks at the door. It repeated itself a couple of times, only up to three times, before the Vilvadi in the mask came into the room, stepping through the door with a new tray of food, as well as a new set of clothing; a luxurious gown of silks. He set the tray aside the other, gently shifting things around, and looked to the bed where she would no doubt be still asleep.

So he did what he thought was normal, and went over to her, meaning to wake her, though he had no idea how to wake a woman. Odd.... so he woke her like he would any other Enforcer; he grabbed her by the arm roughly and shook her, none too gently at all.

"Arise, you are requested by the Fates for the Binding Ceremony. Your Master has been chosen."

Kat was resting peacefully in the bed, laying on her stomach with her arms beneath the pillow, seeming to be quite relaxed despite being in a new place, possibly surrounded on all sides by strangers. The room gave her a bit of support and boundaries away from the family, letting her rest while she could. All went well...

Until the Enforcer returned to the room. She didn't hear him enter but as soon as she felt his arm on her body, her eyes opened, years of paranoia washing over her. Which was helpful because she was soon yanked out of the bed and onto her feet with more orders pushed onto her. Katrina reached out towards the man, grabbing his mask with her free hand and tugging at it, quickly getting the idea that it wasn't coming off easily. So instead, she twisted her arm around, breaking from his grab and landed a solid punch to the man's chest with the other. Her eyes flashed a bright, haunting yellow colour before fading into it for good.

"Don't you ever wake me like that again," she threatened, the growl returning to her voice. "You may be a spineless dick, but I am still a woman and we deserve a certain amount of respect. Demon or not." She approached him, not bothering with the fact that she was still stark naked in front of the powerful man. She backed away, grabbing at the clothing he brought in and shook it gently to unfold it from the shoulders. "These fates better make a good choice," she mumbled, eyes narrowing over the dress before not wasting a second and slipping it on before picking up some of the food to bring along.

"Let's get this over with."

Viktor had been expecting a slight reaction to his awakening, though her first instinct had been to grab at his mask. Why? What good did that do for her? Though she seemed to rectify her flawed thinking by breaking free of his grasp --becuse he let her of course-- and proceeded to slam him a good one straiht to the solar plexus. He felt the air leave his lungs, though as far as she could tell, no damage had ben dealt to the man, who still remained standing there, as if nothing was wrong.

It took him until she had spoken her words and slipped the dress on to catch his breath. "I do not understand your attempt at name calling, though I assure you that if al goes well with this, you will not have me awaken you again. This way."

He simply led her to the door, drawing a quick symbol onto the door with his finger, and opening it into a auditorium or theater of sorts, with the seats raised in concentric circles above a lowered stage in the center, their door leading out onto the stage. An elderly woman sat in another ornate chair, with a bowl of water in her lap, her eyes blanked of color as if she were blinded, the scar across her face easy reason to suspect that much.

The Enforcer led her to the chair to sit, standing guard next to her with his hand on the hilt of his sword, standing silent vigil over all of this. In the stands, others in masks and most in simple clothing were arranged with demons at their sides, most of them smiling, happy, generally content with what was going on. The ones with masks came in two groups, the ones with the skull masks like Viktor, and others with blank oval masks with a straight slash across where the eyes of the person behind it would be, enough for them to easily see through. Skull masks in black robes with royal purple sashes, and the straight masks wearing dark grey with black sashes... they were scattered throughout the crowd evenly distributed as if they were watching guard instead of happy spectators.

A gentleman stepped forwards in a suit, handsome to say the least, and stood in front of the blind woman, who put her hand simply in the middle of his back. His eyes glazed a little, and with that straight faced look, he began.

"Welcome all. Another successful rescue at the hands of our Enforcers has brought a new child to our midst. We bind this woman, Katrina, to the one we deem worthy of her skills, who will be the best match for her powers, and who will benefit most from learning from this fine woman. And we have chosen Viktor as that Master."

The crowd had been listening intently, but as soon as Viktors name came up, the entire room erupted in chaos, most almost angry and some just plain displeased with this. Reasons varied from families needing a demon more, to Viktor already being powerful enough on his own, to being upset that a woman would be a part of the Enforcers....

All that drama died as soon as the man took a step forwards, his violet gaze scanning the crowd as his hand slowly drew his sword, moving to stand in front of Kats seated place on stage, and knelt before her, sword in hand to offer to her, bowing his head.

"This Enforcer is the best of our men, young, and willing to learn from your hands, Katrina. He will do well with your help. If you agree, we will have you both bound, and then you may begin your teachings together, as a new member of our Enforcers," the man in front of the woman said tot he crowd, for her benefit, though the woman turned her head to her, a sad look on her face.

"...pity him as no one else in this family has, nor will. For if you refuse, you both will die...." she said, in a prophetic warning that rang through the womans bones even though her words were only for Kat to hear.

The entire room waited to hear Kat's words, expecting her to either accept him, or not.

Kat followed along behind her host, making sure to eat the food before she got into the large room, just in case. She let her eyes wander over the woman on the stage, barely paying attention to Viktor until it came time for him to place in a seat. She took it without a word and gave a swift look around the room and into the stands. Plenty of people... plenty of enforcers... plenty of guards. This must have been a big deal for them. And soon enough the ceremony began.

Successful rescue? The demon softly scoffed, letting her eyes trail away for a moment before they announced her name, which pulled her eyes back to the mouthpiece. She remained silent, listening to the words before glancing around for someone who matched the name. There was certainly a commotion over the announcement and when the enforcer stepped forwards, Kat turned her head to look at him before tensing. This stick in the mud? Really? She looked him over until the woman behind the voice box 'spoke' to her.

She waited until she had finished before carefully standing up, looking Viktor over as he knelt at her feet before walking back towards the lady across from her. Her eyes danced over the man in front of her, following along their connection to her. After a few seconds of taking her appearance in, the Luxuria leaned in towards her ear, whispering a silent promise. "I already do..."

She lingered there for a moment before standing up and making her way back to the man, looking him over carefully before eyeing the stands and turning around to the prophet once again.

"I will agree to help this child." She wanted to make a point not only to Viktor but to those in the room that she wasn't just some other demon to be paired with. That she had pride and wasn't to be messed with. And that she was old, despite looking just about Viktor's age, if not a few years above.

The Fate smiled softly, nodding, her mouth peice ringing out the conclusion acceptance, and summoning in the bearer of contracts, the boy kneeling at Viktors side as the crowd lost it, some angry, others happy, and some just not understanding the Fates words. The Enforcers in the crowd as well as the Guards all stood up as one, when Viktor put his hand on the contract, looking to Katrina with those violet eyes.

The words of the contract were simple, a promise to teach and be taught, to protect and be protected, and to uphold the laws set down by the Father himself to all those that would think themselves higher than the Lord upon High.

At the end of it, the Enforcer paused, hesitating slightly, before saying his name.

"Viktor Vilvadi the Sixth of the Son of the Second," sealing his name with the contract, waiting on her name to be added into it. He was actually hesitating on this because part of him honestly believed he did not deserve a demon at all for the failures he has had over the years, believing others could use this demon much more effectively..... but one does not argue with the Fate. So, he did as he was told, for the nth time in his life, swallowing down the doubt and uncertainty he may have voiced, if he thought he had the right to.

As soon as her name was added to it, the crowd once again went on an angry yelling spree, until the Fate raised her hand.

"Now that the binding ceremony has been concluded, we must be on to proper business. Enforcer Vilvadi the Sixth, you and your new partner are to travel to Sector 5BK to do reconnaissance on recent Angelic activity we have been notified of. All other Enforcers are to reinforce the fortress, and protect the young ones with all we have from the Soon to be incoming Sorc attacks. We are at War now, may God have mercy on our souls and protect us from the taint that these children have brought into this world. You have your orders, now away. May peace be with you, no matter where you lay."

The crowd got quiet after that, some knowing that others were going to die, but as the crowd as animated about everything with their expressions, the Enforcers were sentinels to it all, pillars in the middle of it yet not a part of it. One or two of the Guards looked to their Enforcer, who seemed to not notice....

Viktor was still kneeling at Katrina's feet, though his sword was down now, being replaced on his belt, his head lowered. "Your will be done, Fate. May peace be with us."

Katrina's eyes scanned the crowd, nearly challenging them to argue with her about how this was 'right'. She didn't see it as such, but if the Fate was this important to the enforcers, she would stand up for her and her decision. Who was she to go question their law. Not when the woman had given her such an important hint as to what may come in their future. When the contract arrived, Kat looked it over as it was read in its proper format, taking several issues with it. She was about to speak up when she decided it was better to worm her way through the loopholes than argue things there.

She knelt beside Viktor and set her hand gently on the page, not bothering to look at Viktor just yet. She though, didn't hesitate to give her name. "Katrina Bonheur Alkaev." Much shorter, but meant so much more to her than any number of names other may have. She listened to the sudden barrage of arguments and rolled her eyes before turning back towards the Fate then away, listening carefully to her words. As she finished, she rose to her feet and scanned over the crowds again.

"Where is 5BK?" she asked her new master.

Viktor likewise stood, not looking at the crowd or anything, just looking back towards the door they entered in from. He started towards it, pausing if she did not follow right away, a guard flashing infront of him and away quickly, a bundle of clothing in his hands now with a mask on top of it, like the Guards wore.

"5BK is currently somewhere around Noril'sk. We are in Archangel. Conventional travel will have us snowbound, so we must flash. Designation level 6-34 clearance required. How good is your memory?" he asked, almost out of nowhere, as if rambling on in robot to suddenly remember he was talking to a living creature and not a computer like him... He paused outside the door, passing the clothes to her and looking to her a moment, his gaze easy to feel when it truly landed on you.

Katrina was careful to follow behind him, catching up with him when the guard appeared to hand him the pile of clothing. She continued on with him, doing a quick search of her mind to place where they would be going. She now knew where they were, which was helpful, but she sighed at the idea of flashing. She could do it, that wasn't the problem, but flashing from a building to the outside, not to mention the snow, just bothered her. The sudden flash of weather change was horrible in her mind.

"Of course it's Siberia," she complained with a half sigh. "My memory is good though. Why do you...." Her voice faded away as he offered her the clothing, looking over it then to Viktor. "... Excuse me?" She gestured towards the robe before setting her hand on the pile and stepping closer. "I agreed to be bound," she pointed out. "Not to wear some silly robe. And certainly not to hide my face." She pushed the robe back towards him and shook her head slightly. "Keep it."

He actually paused for a moment, stopping completely to look at her, his frown so complete you could almost feel it from under the mask.

"You will not wear the armour and protection from the elements, nor the protection to hide your face from facial recognition software that Sorcs have used to unbind demons and steal them? Do you intend on going to war in simply a ball room gown? Do you intend on walking over 300 miles in waist deep snow in bare feet and no pants?"

It was literally as if he could not understand why someone would ever want to give up protection, considering he had never dealt with fashion before...

Katrina's eyes narrowed for a second before she lifted her hand and snapped her fingers. Not even a second later, she was wearing a dark black coat trimmed with the best fur one could find, a long, thick pair of pants and durable boots, all of which were made for the dangerous winters of Russia. She pulled a thick scarf and toque-like hat from her pocket and showed them to the man before tucking it back in. "That facial recognition software is pathetic," she added crossly. "Now please. Despite your obvious thoughts, I know what I'm doing. I may never have been with a member of your family, but I have been around other masters and I've been with a Sorc. You could not hold more secrets than that family could.

"And if you have, then congratulations. You are far more in need than any other person I have ever met." The only reason why she hadn't moved on was simply because she didn't know where she was going. A location was a nice start, but exact spot gave her a better idea of where they should be heading to. "I'm going to wear what I'd like. And I'd really like to see you stop me."

Viktor had never had a demon, and all the demons they had in the Enforcers were well trained vetrans that were more or less as miltary as their Masters were. So to have this firecracker come in out of nowhere, be put on as his demon, and ward, and now she was challenging him at every turn....

"There are many secrets in the world none can fathom. A simple secret that I have over any Sorc you have met is that you do not know my face. As for stopping you, that is a simple challenge."

He held out the clothing, while giving the order to change into these exact garments and remain in them until otherwise told, also donning the mask as part of the uniform. He said it in such a convoluted and winding exact way that there were literally no loopholes out of it, and he even said that she had to change into them this instant, to make it worse.

And the best part was, the man honestly thought it was a simple challenge set forth, that he had to perfectly execute to prove himself to her, instead of a show of defiance and free will. As if he would ever recognize those traits, when he had never known them himself.

"I have successfully completed your challenge. Now we must be off. This way," he said simply, after she was done being dressed, and went tot he door, drawing another symbol on it before stepping into the white space, the frigid winds blowing fast as the snow met them.

It was like stepping from the Wardrobe into Narnia if the White Witch really went to town on snow. Waist deep and blowing, they flashed literally in the middle of a snowstorm. The black of his robes was the only difference in the landscapes for her to see.

As soon as the order crossed his lips, Kat glared. She lifted her hand again, snapping the clothing onto her body with a very quick flashing skill. They felt disgusting on her skin, not to mention it looked horrible... but the robotic man in front of her had other plans and obviously refused to let her do as she pleased. This man needed to get a good lesson on emotions before the two could go much further with their lives or partnership. But she followed behind him, slipping the mask over her head before giving off a soft sigh and walked with him through the door.

Instantly, she was hit with the harsh chill of Siberia and shook her head. "A snowstorm? Are you serious right now?" Either way, she stepped closer to Viktor, needing to stay close so she didn't loose the man and followed him along to their goal. The last thing she wanted was to get lost from him just yet. "Could we not have flashed closer? Or better yet, into the place?"

Viktor tapped his mask once, his voice now sounding as if it were right next to her instead of blowing in the wind.

"The sector is not stationary, so flashing directly into the interior is considered dangerous, and only to be done in extreme emergencies, protocol 765-B of the Verdicts. As for proximity, we are directly above it, currently. Locating the entrance, ETA 5 minutes. With the protection available and on your person in this current time, you will not succumb to hypothermia nor frostbite until after the hour mark, if left with no S-class Master. I am pleased to inform you that I am an S-class Master, so you are perfectly safe within conditions ranging between 120*C and -70*C, with no bodily harm to you."

He spoke automaton while seemingly wandering in the snow in literal circles, the trails left behind them barely seen in the blowing snow. It was a surprise that as chilly as she had been with the sudden blast, it was just a slight chill now, rather than the bone chill it should have been, as if something were warming up her bones from within, making the movements easier than normal, even with the Enforcer leading, creating the trenches they walked in.

The demon followed behind Viktor, not really enjoying this at all. All these protocols and robotic words were beginning to grate on her nerves. She stopped where she was at one point, moving towards the middle of the circle, eyes followed Viktor as he walked, moving with him if his circle seemed to wander, but not bothering to leave the space she had claimed as her own. There was no way they were going to find the door in five minutes. Not when the man was wandering around like that.

She was thankful for the uniform though. Or more like the warmth it was giving her, rather than the look or feel. She only hoped this would end quickly so she could get some time away from the stick that was her master. Or try to talk to him. If he was all about work like he seemed to be, there was going to be a problem. Her last masters may have been commanding, disgusting men, but they knew how to have fun. Or at least let Kat enjoy herself. Silently, she swore that she was going to make this man let her have fun. That she was going to teach him how to relax. He was going to get that pole out of his ass if it was the last thing that she did.

At almost exactly 5 minutes, his circle came to a stop, and he looked towards her, opening a door out of nowhere, to a brightly lit room. "You are requested to accompany me," he said simply, waiting for her before entering and closing the door behind them.

Slowly the blinding light dimmed, getting rid of any snow blindness they may have had regardless of the masks protection, to reveal a simple stock hallway, opening up into a living space, like a secret apartment building.

Inside was a single man on the couch, playing what sounded to be a movie of some sort of war playing from the wall.

"Welcome to 5BK, the central hub for reconaissance in all of the world, owned and run by the Vilvadi Seal. You may remove the mask and cloak if you wish now," he said simply, leaving all of his things on to walk over to monitors around a corner, sitting himself down in front of them, and seemingly content to set to work on watching things, at times touching a screen over someones face, before moving on to another screen.

The man on the couch swore a last time before the feed cut out on him. "HEY! I was watching that, jackass!" the man screeched, looking over the couch at Viktor, who was still working.

"You are to be watching sectors 9B6 and 7R8, Jared, as per section 2-"

"Yeayea I know your fucking sector bullshit. Seriously, you need to get fucking laaaaaa well Hello there pretty lady! Please tell me you are NOT here with this dick?"

Jared was a decently nice looking man, though his words were a little uncouth, he definitely had all the personality Viktor had been lacking the entire time. Though that wasnt the weirdest part about him. The weirdest part was that he was a demon, with no human form, yet you could hardly tell. Well, except for the fact he looked a bit like a monkey with his hair wild and his sideburns longer than most.

Kat followed him inside, instantly pleased with the heat this room was pumping out around her. Her shoulders sagged once the door closed, melting against the heat with a faint smile beneath the mask. It all vanished though as Viktor began to explain this location's job and how she could remove the mask. As soon as she got that order, she worked the mask away from her face and dropped the hood, shaking her head to free her hair and sighed. She stripped herself of her robe, revealing a simple, slim cut dress, perfect for the era. Her eyes traveled around the room before finally settling on the monkey boy already in the room.

She smiled to see another demon, apparently named Jared, and certainly one who paid attention to her. "I am," he complained, making her way towards the new man. "A recent pairing. Most dreadful. Please bring me back to Earth. The aliens have taken that one over." It was a joke, but not... Kat wasn't pleased with her master any more than she was with the weather. Maybe Jared could help to lighten the mood a bit, or at least give her someone to talk to. She leaned in with a slight smile. "I believe they left his probe in..."

What crude language for a woman... but Kat didn't care. She was a demon and on top of that, she was paired with someone from a family who didn't always treat demons as another living being, tying them to rules and constant contracts. Then again, they didn't seem to have treated their own family as living beings.
