The plot:

Eli had just had a bad break up and his ex-girlfriend left him a life size doll. It creeped him out but he also found the object neat. The doll was so life like with porcelain skin, and an eerily human face. It stood 6'0" tall and weighted somewhere around 130 lbs. As much as he wanted to,he couldn't bring himself to part with the doll.

After a month however he could swear the doll moved or watched him. The doll was never in the same place he had left him and his eyes seemed to watch Eli's every movement. Ralph thought he was going insane, until he awoke one night to the doll standing over his bed. Much to his horror Eli was tied to the bed and the doll was in fact moving.

A routine had taken over his life since the absence of his former girlfriend. It involved getting up, going to work, and coming home late in the evening to a silent house with his laptop and that doll for company. It was an eerie thing that managed to linger in his life despite his intentions to get rid of it initially. Now he tolerated its bizarre presence and quirks and most of it he had come to believe was in his mind. Inanimate objects didn't move and they didn't take an active interest in the living. They sat there – even if he couldn't quite explain all of it away, he acted as though he could.

Weekends were different, and it happened to be a monotonous Saturday. On weekends, Eli didn't leave the house unless it was necessary. He had managed to seclude himself from almost everyone in the effort to cope with a persistent sense of loneliness while others tried to be consoling and a disgust for the idea of someone new to make matters worse all over again.

Though Eli had gotten dressed in jeans and a long sleeved shirt, he had sat on the couch most of the day staring vacantly at the television, getting up only to wander around listlessly and return to absently flipping channels when that became a trial. It wasn't that he was sad, or even depressed, he had simply become comfortable and safe.

Kai sat there silently watching Eli's every movement carefully. Sure he was a doll, but he was very much alive and he loved making Eli think himself insane by moving about the house. He would even turn his head when he wasn't looking. These were all just part of his games that he played with his new owner while he plotted what to do with him.

Kai had been made over ten years ago by a grieving father, who was a doll maker. He made him in the image of his son and did a ritual to attach his son's soul to the doll. However it was Kai who attached himself and not the man's son. The man was very upset and sold Kai.

In real life Kai had been a 20 year old college student who was murdered for being too smart. This of course made him bitter and living as a doll didn't help his desire to be in control for once. He had convinced another doll maker to give him a 12 inch penis,so that was a bonus. That was right after he was made, but now he was very real. He felt things just like anyone else,he could bleed and his porcelain was not breakable any more, plus it was warm to the touch.

As Eli flipped through more channel's Kai turned his head towards him quickly, then stopped moving.

Eli paused on a commercial, certain that something had just gone wrong in the room and not entirely sure he needed to know what it was. His eyes remained fixed on the screen, forgetting to blink even when it became necessary as he tried to force his brain into at least creating the debate on weather he wanted to look over to that doll or not. Of course, he knew it was there, sitting there, watching, making Eli tense and edgy even when it seemed he was unaware or indifferent. Slowly his lips were pressed together and there was the slightest movement in his eyes.

It was his gaze that went first and slowly his head turned toward the thing that sat very much like a bad omen. Why shouldn't he get rid of it now? He tried not to give away the shock of fear that lodged itself in his chest, sure that it had moved, that it was now looking directly at him. But, the lack of reaction was just as telling.

Eli pushed himself up slowly from his place on the couch, dropping the remote onto the cushion, and came to stand several feet from the thing. It took him a few seconds but he did get closer and eventually crouched down in front of the doll. He didn't exactly want to stare at it, but that's what he was doing. “You don't scare me,” he muttered at it before Eli ran a hand through his hair and his attention dropped from his house guest. “I'm talking to a doll.” It was reluctantly matter-of-fact and Eli stood back up to fetch a glass of water and collapse back onto the couch, jabbing the remote control buttons to flip the channel.

Inside Kai chuckled at the look of fear in Eli's eyes when he looked at him and the chuckle turned to laughter inside of him as Eli said he wasn't afraid of him. He knew Eli was nervous around him, afraid even and that he tried not to show it. It was all too fun though to play mind games with him and freak him out.

Kai made sure Eli was well into his channel flipping, then he slid out of the chair he was sitting in. He lay on the floor now as if he had fallen from the chair and he even made a nice loud thump as he hit the floor. He couldn't wait to see the look on Eli's face this time,he was sure it would be utter horror.

The incident had almost been forgotten when the sound shattered whatever sense of relaxation he'd built up. The remote had been thrown out away from Eli, entirely on accident. His eyes had gone wide and his skin paled considerably as his heart had attempted leaping out toward the television and slammed into his ribcage. Adrenaline had shot into his blood making him jittery and it was as though he couldn't catch his breath.

His head jerked toward where the doll had sat and then lowered to where it presently was. Short breaths made it past his lips until he had the sense to close his mouth. Eli slipped down to the floor onto his knees long enough to reach out and grab the remote and turn off the TV.

For the second time he was up, his nerves slowly settling the more he moved. Eli let out a breath he must have been holding as he stared down at the doll. It really was more trouble than it was worth. Eli was losing his mind or had lost his mind because of a thing, an object, a decoration. He shifted his weight to one side before he bent down to grab it by its forearms and pull. For a doll, it was heavy and he should have left it where it was, but he couldn't, it would nag at him. Eli dragged it, unceremoniously to a closet where it was dropped long enough for him to open the door. He picked it back up in the same unpleasant way and shoved it into the closet where it was dropped again.

He even smiled a bit, just a hint at the corner of his mouth as he reassured himself that it was safely in the tiny space with the coats and shoes and miscellaneous boxes before the closed the door. There he could forget it for awhile and find something to eat, despite his anxiety preventing actual hunger.

Kai could barely keep from laughing at Eli's reaction. He thought the boy would have a heart attack right then and there. He had looked so horrified. Then the unpleasant part came where he was dragged and shoved into the closet rather roughly, which he didn't appreciate one bit. Once Eli was gone he straightened himself up before opening the door slowly, making it squeak loudly as it did. Then he laid there unmoving, just how Eli had left him, even though it was uncomfortable.

He watched as the door creaked open before hitting the wall with a thud. These mind games were quite fun he thought and Eli was now so jumpy anything would push him over the edge.

Before the disruption Eli had managed to get the refrigerator door open to look disinterestedly inside. He needed to go shopping was what he needed to do, not have a mental breakdown. Yet, he heard the creaking sound and he knew instantly where it was coming from and what it was. He'd shut the door, made sure it was closed, and there was no way it would open on its own.

The refrigerator door was allowed to fall shut. Eli was struggling to breathe again. He shook his head slightly, vigorously. There was no way he was going to check on the doll again. Curling up in a corner seemed like a better idea but he didn't move in either direction. The heel of his hand was set against his temple, pressing gently against it, fingers slowly massaging into his hair.

He wasn't certain what to do. Shying away from a doll was laughable if it wasn't so creepy. “Breathe,” he whispered to himself several times until it actually seemed to work. Eli moved quickly before he could change his mind. There was half a second of pause before he slammed the door shut and leaned back against it.

Eli slid down to the floor, keeping his back to the door. What if he stayed there and some noise happened on the other side of the door? What if he went away and the door opened again? What if the doll turned up somewhere else? He had to get rid of it. Could he get rid of it? How? He should burn it. The idea prompted a bark of laughter that he hadn't meant. He'd burn it or break it or... both. Both was good.

Kai was about to die from the laughter he was holding in,but he managed to keep it all in as Eli sat outside of the closet door. He was a good boy and didn't move more make a single noise. He wanted Eli to question his sanity to the point he just went to bed. Then Kai would get him and have even more fun with him. Until now it had been fun screwing with Eli's mind, but he didn't want to push him over the edge completely. He wanted him lucid and sane for when the real fun began.

He wondered how long Eli was going to sit outside of the closet now or if he was even going to move at all. He needed to move,to just go and take a long shower, then go to bed and relax his mind.

For a long time, hours, Eli didn't move. He didn't dare. For the first thirty minutes he couldn't stop shaking and when that stopped a numbness set in despite his body remaining tense. It was painful to remain still, perfectly still. He couldn't remember what prompted him to move, but he did eventually. It was a slow process, trying to be silent as though the doll on the other side of the door might hear him and react.

His muscles rebelled and his leg had gone to sleep, but when nothing else happened he pushed himself forward awkwardly. It took Eli a considerable amount of time to get ready for bed. If he moved too fast it might hear him. By the time he collapsed into bed he had exhausted himself. He didn't have the energy to dry his hair completely from the shower and he only had the strength to pull the blanket from the foot of the bed over his legs.

The door to his room had been closed, but not locked. He should have locked it but it hadn't occurred to him. He was worn out and wasn't thinking properly, and for once it didn't take Eli long to curl up and fall asleep.

Once Eli was gone from the door,Kai listened to him get ready for bed. Then he heard him fall into bed and then nothing. Kai waited about and hour, then stood from his spot in the closet, taking a length of rope with him. He silently made his way out of the closet before sneaking into Eli's bedroom. Looking down on the boy,he silently tied him face up and spread eagle on the bed.

He then stood there looking down on him with a wicked smirk before shaking the bed. He straightened up once again and stood stone still, not moving as he waited for Eli to awaken from his slumber.

In a haze, Eli tried to drag himself over onto one side and curl back up at the disruption. It was a halfhearted effort that was abandoned before his eyes were even open. The first blurry-eyed peek meant nothing in the dark room, the second time his eyes opened, Eli caught sight of the doll and jerked his entire body to escape from it looming over him. Something stopped him, something held fast to his wrists and his ankles and he had to take his eyes from the doll long enough to see what held him.

The confirmation was little comfort. His gaze snapped back to the doll before shutting tightly. A faint whimper rattled in his throat. Eli was tired, more than just tired, but there was a renewed dose of adrenaline though it was as useless now as it was earlier. “It isn't real, it isn't real, it isn't real,” was the mantra he had breathed over and over.

His limbs strained at the restraints and he finally looked again at the doll he had supposedly shut into the closet. He'd left it in the closet right? It suddenly felt as though he couldn't remember. He was dreaming, that's what was happening it was sleep paralysis and a dream.

Kai watched Eli struggle for a long moment, then when he looked away again,he disappeared under the bed. Eli looked as if he was half asleep and very tired. Kai would let him sleep, but only because he wanted him wide awake and lucid when he decided to really mess with his mind. He didn't want Eli to be half aware of what was going on.

Kai laid in the darkness under the bed looking up at the bed where his captive was and smiled. Soon, very soon Eli would be rested and all his. He would just have to wait a little longer and he had no problem waiting. He had Eli right where he wanted him and he wasn't going anywhere any time soon.

The disappearance of the doll, which seemed to happen in the blink of an eye, was calming in its way. It reaffirmed that it was nothing, it was some strange version of a dream. It took several minutes for him to manage a calm state but it did happen. His gaze shifted upward to where his hands were held and he considered it in a strangely calm fashion. If he was dreaming there was no reason to be hysterical about it.

Eli tugged gently on them, assured that they weren't going to give. Even if he was bound he was still safe with no sign of the doll. Perhaps he should have been more concerned with escape but his foggy mind was too clouded to process reason. He wasn't sure of what was real anymore. Moments later, Eli had slipped back into some sort of sleep-state, forcing himself to forget the entire ordeal and make the best of the night as it was peaceful and quiet.

The next morning around 10 am Kai awoke under the bed, where at some point he had fallen asleep. Looking around for a moment he slipped silently from under the bed and looked over Eli's sleeping form. With a smirk he shook the bed hard, then stood still once more looking over him. Kai stayed still as a statue once again as if he had never moved. Now he could play with his new toy and have some real fun after all of the waiting and plotting he had done.

He was going to be in control for once in his life and no one would take that from him ever again. As a college student his father chose his major for him and chose what field of doctor he would be in,a surgeon. Kai had never wanted to be a doctor, but he father wouldn't listen and forced him to be a doctor. Then he had been murdered by a jealous classmate and in a cruel twist of fate, had been embodied in a doll. Even in death he was controlled, until now.

This time Eli didn't wake up confused and out of it. He'd had time to recover from the events of the day before and while they were still in the back of his mind and he dreaded facing the what he would have to do with the doll, at least he had slept through the night – at least according to him. He hadn't noticed the figure standing over the bed at first but he knew he felt stiff from not having moved over the night. Gazing at the ceiling he eventually turned his head and his eyes went wide. His thoughts stuttered. Was he still... sleeping? Probably not.

Eli tried to get up and quickly only to be yanked down. He still couldn't fully process what was happening or make the connection between what he'd thought was a dream and the present situation, but at least he knew he was awake this time. The boy flinched, tugged hard on what held him, with his gaze continually directed at the doll as if expecting it to offer some explanation and knowing it wouldn't. It was a thing, it wasn't a person. And now he was stuck and it was there and most importantly was how?

His eyes flickered up to see if he was making any progress on liberation. He wasn't and his wrists were starting to turn red from having been abused, but he had to get out.

Kai watched the terror fill Eli's eyes when he saw him and found it delicious. He watched him struggle for a moment and then he smiled. "You know that wont do you any good right?" Kai said. His voice was silky smooth and alluring with a slightly deep undertone to it. Even though he spoke,he still didn't move for the moment.

It was all just too much fun and he couldn't resist a few more mind games before he started moving and talking more to Eli,which would no doubt freak him out. His golden eyes watched Eli's wrists turning red from his futile struggles and knew sooner or later they would be raw.

It felt like all the air had been drawn out of his lungs the moment he heard a voice, not his own, in the same room. It was like some child's nightmare come to life. Eli's skin pricked at him, aware of something being terribly wrong, trying to urge him to avoid the situation. His mouth opened to search for something to say but he couldn't force a single word out despite the effort he put into it. He managed, eventually, a few inaudible syllables that were pushed out in exhale but to make them into actual words was impossible.

Eli had given up on fighting with his restraints. His jaw snapped shut and he swallowed. A light headed feeling swept over him, and strangely enough that made him blurt out: “You didn't...” There were many things that accusation could have referred to but Eli didn't elaborate or couldn't make himself coherent enough to elaborate. Those words seemed sufficient to encapsulate the entirety of his situation. “That's not even possible,” he added more to himself in quiet, uneven tones, while trying quite desperately to force himself to smile as though it would make everything less frightening and surreal.

"I did." Kai said. Then he moved, just as any human would move,no awkward movements, just graceful fluid movements. He walked forward some and smiled at Eli. His eyes looked over his frightened face and his terror filled eyes. Eli looked like he was about to explode,as if all this was over loading his mind and was all too much for him. Maybe it was,but he would get use to it,wouldn't he? He was smiling, but Kai knew that was out of fear and hope that this wasn't really happening.

It felt good to move and not have to sit still for hours at a time. When Eli wasn't here,Kai often watched t.v and did other human things. He would always put everything back as it was before Eli left though and made sure he was in a different place.

Eli flinched. It didn't matter that he wasn't touched, it was enough that the doll moved, that it spoke. “You're not real,” he muttered, hardly audible. “You're not...” But it all had to be true because he could feel everything and the pull at his limbs and he couldn't exactly imagine the voice. For as long as he'd had the doll, or the doll occupied the space because ownership seemed questionable, he'd never imagined it had a voice. It was creepy and turned up and did strange things but it never spoke in any nightmarish daydream.

Vaguely he knew his heart was pounding and if he stopped to listen he'd be able to hear his pulse in his ears. Eli couldn't take his eyes away from the doll no matter how much he may have wanted to do so. It felt a lot like being a deer caught in headlights. “Let me up,” he tried to measure out the words, sound somewhat sure of himself.

"I am very real and I will not let you up....your mine now.You need to stop being in denial. You're wide awake,I am moving and I am speaking." Kai said with a low laugh. He then poked Eli on the forehead to show him he was quite real, his porcelain was even warm to the touch. Then he sat down on the end of the bed and looked at Eli with a smile on his face. It was funny how Eli seemed like he was having a hard time processing all of the events that were happening and looked like a deer in the headlights of a car.

Was it beyond his form of thinking that things existed out there that shouldn't? Had he never heard of unexplained things? There were shows and websites everywhere that talked all about the subject, but maybe Eli was one of those closed minded type of people.

That Eli had almost certainly become a possession almost wiped out the fear from his expression in favor of skepticism and annoyance. He'd forgotten for a second, or maybe it was becoming normal, that he was conversing with a thing and not a person. “Don't,” he snapped at being poked, a reflex reaction that anyone might have by having their personal space invaded by a stranger. “Let me up,” he insisted with more force as though a second demand, already once denied, would convince the doll.

Eli wanted to move his leg, keep it as far away from his captor as possible but it wasn't an option. It frustrated him and he jerked on the binding unnecessarily. “And you have been fucking with me,” he accused as it finally caught up with him. “All this time. I ought to pull you apart.” And, to be fair, Eli probably would try it the moment the doll figured out this wasn't a great plan to keep a human, with a family and friends, hostage.

Kai let out a long laugh. " Yes,yes I have been. It's been quite fun don't you think? Oh, I haven't even introduced myself yet! My name is Kai,pleasure to meet you! Also you can't rip me apart or burn me or any of that because I am a living thing. I bleed,I'm warm to the touch and all that fun stuff. How you might ask...short version some father made this doll after his son's image and did a ritual to trap his son's soul into it,however I was murdered near by and was dragged into this...body...then it started to become real." He said.

Any fear that had existed and any attempt to cling to a mundane world had evaporated in the moment. Eli pulled again on his wrists, more out of the sudden urge to strike out at the thing sitting near him. His teeth were set together and his jaw was clenched. “I thought I was losing my mind,” he hissed. “So if you don't think I won't still burn you until you're all ash...” And maybe Eli was crazy now and he was hallucinating, but he was convinced now that it wasn't like that. He was convinced that the world was not what it had seemed to be and that alone was enough to upset him.

A short, futile attempt born out of ire to try to get up and strangle the doll ended in Eli relaxing again as he tried to come to terms with being stuck where he was and dependent on the thing he'd shoved into a closet yesterday and that had tortured him for a month. “Poor baby. What do you want?”

Kai chuckled. "I want you of course silly, why do you think your tied to the bed? Why do you think I've stuck around this long? Don't you think if I really wanted to leave I would have just stood up and left? Your ex gave you to me for a reason...or were you under the impression it was the other way around?" He said sweetly.

One delicate hand moved forward and traced Eli's member through his boxers, then pulled his boxers down so his member was exposed. A smile spread across Kai's face as he looked over the treasure before him. Then his eyes moved back up to Eli's face.

Eli's ex,Hana, had been right,he was quite handsome and would be more that worth having as a toy. Hana had given Eli to Kai as a present because she knew he wanted a present, they talked a lot about what Kai wanted. He had been Hana's since she was about 10 and then she had become his at 15. He had been alive only 3 short years when he was given to Hana, but when she found out he was alive, she loved it. After she and Eli broke up,they had decided to part ways and she gave him Eli as a parting gift.
