This is the Character Profile Thread for The 16 Realms, which is a story based off of the Final Fantasy games. For those interested in joining this game, please visit the interest thread to get an idea for the plot and to express who you are interested in playing as. Telija: Western Continent housing capital city Assyria and the Viata Prime Headquarters.
Nexis: Southern Continent housing capital city Nessa.
Mithrou: Eastern Continent housing the Crystallus Centra.

Islands
Daega & Rae: Largely unexplored due to remote location and are often referenced to as “Daega Rae” by Svyr locals.
Verou Nexis: A small island on the southern shore of Nexis.
Tor: Small island off of Telija’s western shore rumored to be the burial ground of the civilization that originally inhabited the 16th realm before dying off – the current inhabitants being their anscestors.
Miin: Four tiny islands off the coast of Telija.

Headquarters: Assyria – Capital City of Telija
Years Established: 537
Description: Assyria is built upon the ruins of a giant floating city. Hovering over a large mining field, Assyria is well supplied and serves as the capital city of Telija. The Protagonist Faction, Viata Prime, is located in the tallest central tower and has been there for 450 years.

Antagonist Faction: Vanderi Syndicate
Headquarters: Verou Nexis
Years Established: 768
Description: Verou Nexis is a small island off of the southern shorn of Nexis which houses the fortress stronghold of the Vanderi Syndacate. This land has a harsh environment and few resources, making trading in Trinidad and Nessa essential for survival. The Vanderi Syndicate used to be prominent throughout Nexis and Telija, but the Great War 500 years ago severely damaged their power. The Viata Prime was still in its infancy by Vanderi standards but managed to unite the Telija people to rebel against Nexis and Verou Nexis.

Neutral Faction: Trinidad
Location: Trinidad Islands
Description: Named for being centrally located between the three main continents of Svyr, this city was built upon the ruins of a far more technologically advanced civilization. The city is composed of multiple synthetic islands that interlock together to form a * shape. This city houses the centralized trading markets, able to access all three main continents of Svyr. Due to the close proximity to Mithrou's south western shore, Trinidad has the easiest access into Mithrou but relies on hired "Messiah" to gather materials.

Mithrou
Years Uninhabited: 737
War between Telija and Nexix erupted 500 ago during a race to lay claims to land within Mithrou (currently there is peace between the two countries due to an aged treaty). However, the harsh climate and impassable mountain range proved too great to conquer for the native people. There is a strange radiation prevalent throughout the land which is caused from the limbs of the Crystallus Centra. Only “Messiah” may cross the Karthian Mountains and enter the plains on Mithrou’s eastern shore, of which they have only been doing for the past 115 years with mixed success.

Crystallus Centra
Location: Mithrou’s Northern Plains
Creation: ???
Description: This ancient crystal tree is what gathers the souls from the 15 outside realms and plants them into the 16th Realm. Each soul is grown a new body in a crystal pod/coffin, which grows out from the roots of Crystallus Centra. The roots have spread throughout the Mithrou continent, into Telija and into Nexis.

Once the pod has reached full maturity, the crystal emits a strange hum which is detectable and traceable by any “Messiah” in Svyr. New “hatchling Messiah” are impressionable to whomever discovers them, thus the increasing struggle between the Viata Prime and Vanderi Syndacate to procure the hatchlings before the other group.

Summon Temples
Location: Spread throughout Svyr
Creation: ???
Description: These ancient looking temples are spread throughout Svyr and house the souls of ancient beasts that can be awoken through an applicable sacrifice. These beings are rumored in ancient texts to have been "gods" the native people of Svyr created to rule over the lesser races. "Messiah" have been known to search for these temples by studying the radiation given off of roots of Crystallus Centra and use the journey as a pilgrimage to hone their skills as an affirmation to their blood born destinies.

Realm XVII Name: Leska

Origin Realm & Name: Realm X - Yuna

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Height: 5'7"

Allegiance: Protagonist/Director

Appearance: Similar to that of FFX-2, her hair is longer and similar to Leon's in KH. She wears shorts or skirts with knee high boots she can travel in. For her torso, she wears shirts similar to the Gunner dressphere but they will be darker in color. She has a sash tied around her hips like a belt that hangs down over her left hip. She will have a black vest that she wears over her torso and a jacket that she'll wear off and on throughout the game.

Personality: Still being shy in moments, Leska tends to be confident in her own way. She's rather self-reliant and stubborn, something that wasn't lost when she came to the new realm. Leska works well with others and is always searching for the way to bring peace to their divided realm.

Summon: Leska forged a bond with a summon at a very early age. When and where she found her summon's temple is unknown to the Protagonist force she's allied to. However, there is a member of the Antagonist forces who knows what temple she gave herself to (who will be revealed later) and knows what "sacrifice" she gave to obtain her summon.

Leska's summon remains nameless to her team members and takes on the form of a black dragon. The dragon tends to be the size of three horses, mountable but still big. During times of crisis where Leska infuses her entire essence with the summon, it can take on a larger form for airborn combat and boss fights (during which time Leska's form is absorbed into the dragon's). Background: After saving the world from Vegnagun, Yuna was haunted in her sleep by visions of Spira being destroyed. Eventually she decided to leave the Gullwings and go to Mount Gagazet. With Kimari's help, her soul leaves to the new realm. She'll awaken in a crystal pod as a 12-13 year old girl, having no real memory of who she was or where she came from other than knowing she chose to save the world she came from. Our story will take place 10 years after she awoke in the new realm. One of the first things Yuna said after being recovered by the Director's team was "Yunaleska" but they could only understand Leska, thus began to address her as such. Sample Image
 
Realm XVII Name: Genja
Origin Realm & Name: VII - Vincent Valentine
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 0"
Allegiance: Antagonist
Appearance: Vincent's hair is now a more silvery white than brown and he wears a black long coat to cover the black leather body armour he wears.
Personality: He's been taught not to care for others because in the end, they will eventually die and he will not. A tyrannous nature has been built into him, designed to torment others as a result of his own cruelty and dominance.
Background: Soon after he arrived in the new world, he discovered that he had been given a gift which most consider a curse. He had been granted immortality and it fueled his ambition to ensure that no one else outlived him. A creature like him can only two paths in the world they live in; they can learn to control their power and use it defeat evil. Or they can become a weapon for the criminal organisations. Vincent became quickly notorious for his violence and creative killing methods. This notoriety made him a lieutenant in the Syndicate, his only job to destroy those who cannot live forever.

Realm XVII Name: Branwen Darkmoon
Origin Realm & Name: FFXIV - Branwen Darkmoon
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3
Allegiance: Unknown at this time.
Appearance: Branwen is a Miqo'te from the Keeper of the Moon Clan. She has black hair with a bit of white at the temples. She also has ears and a tail furred in black. Her eyes are a vibrant shade of purple and she is of average height for her race though slightly below average compared to human races.
Personality: Branwen often comes across as quiet and withdrawn. She is is very loyal to the right person and fiercely protective. She is perceptive and often picks up on things other miss. One of the reasons she is so quiet is because she is taking time to analyze her situation, this trait is what made her an excellent candidate for the School of Arcanists. One she is comfortable with someone she can be mischievous, playful and downright silly.
Background: Branwen was an adventure in the Realm of Eorzea and became one of the many protectors of the world. She like many others fought against the beast tribes and their summoned Primals as well as the Garlean Empire who sought to invade Eorzea. She learned many valuable skills while travelling the realm but in the end she was tragically slain during the final fight with Bahaumet along with hundreds of other adventurers. Instead of allowing these adventurers to return to the Aether the Mother Crystal Hydalen seals their souls into shards of crystal and sends them through time to a new realm to protect. Branwen wakes from the crystal as her younger self with nightmarish but vague memories of Eorzea and feels a compelling need to complete a mission she never finished though she cannot remember what that is. Now she wonders the world helping those in need and searching for a quest she cannot remember.
