How does one simple become part of the welcoming committee?

I've been a user of this site for about three+ years, and a user on the "darker role-plays" site before this.

I've been pretty active on this site for those years, but had a question for the mods and admins:

-would it be possible for me to join the ranks of the welcoming committee, as I like to interact with everyone in the community and help guide the newer users.....electrify the crowd

If this is possible (or not), please pm me when you are free.
