Thomas Alexander Barbosa Hellsing wasn't your average soldier. Your average soldier would have been dead. However despite barely being aware of what was going on, Thomas felt his shield shatter like glass in response to the hoard.
Their was a time in his life Thomas would have slept through the minor shakes of his suit. But that had been long before the ICT training, and even longer then he's earned the N-7 designation. But since the war with the Reapers had become a matter of life and death, the hardened soldier wasn't only awake as his shied shattered, but was MOVING. A hard light axe forming around his fit. spinning wide to catch four of the things in the neck. Even as their heads were separated, he was bringing up his stolen Blood Pack pistol. Catching a fifth between the eyes. Choosing not to eject the spent thermal clip, he drove his right foot into the one on his left's chest turning and throwing a left punch straight at the one on his right's head. The heavy T5-V hard suit he was in caved in the thing's soft skull. Turning to the one still moving at him he brought the hard light axe down with a "THUNK" into it's skull. Relaxing his grip, soon the light weapon would dissolve the soldier scanned for hostiles even as he began running a sit rep of his gear.
10 Multi Frag grenades. His Phaestron assault rifle, Executioner heavy pistol, N7 Piranha shotgun, Black Widow sniper rifle, and Blood Pack Punisher SMG were all fully decked out. The maximum amount of thermal clips he carried were loaded into his hard suit, although he had a feeling it would be better to let them cool then constantly reloading. A quick check of his mental well being proved he hadn't used ay of his biotic in awhile. Thomas was the so of a first generation biotic and thus had refused to get an amp, until he'd joined the service. He tended to use Adrenaline Rush, Concussive, and Incendiary ammo more the his latent biotic abilities. However, if the need was bad enough he could pull of the occasional Biotic Slam and Biotic Flare.
Thomas let his eyes run over his arms, the deep almost black red of his hard suit glinted in the sunlight. Most people would say having your armor that color, but your face guard and traditionally red stripe neon green, with your white stripes electric blue was stupid. The truth was Thomas liked standing out. Calling a bit of attention to yourself in combat meant their were more enemies to kill.
Thomas brought his omnitool up checking to see if he was getting any data feeds only to shake his head. He was blind, although as he had his Omnitool scan the hostiles, he was able to paint his hug with similar enemies. The scan revealed the things had once been human, but some unknown energy had taken them over. With technology not able to help Thomas looked towards the skies surprised to see familiar stars, but in weird places. Thomas drew his SMG, while he never appreciated the weapon, these hostiles seemed to go down with a few rounds to the face, and his SMG was the most practical fast weapon he had for head shots. Double checking that his Incendiary ammo mood was on and online he began the trek to the city barely visible in the distance.
