A young man wanders the streets upon a Halloween night. Its one of the few nights he allows himself to be out in the public this close to a full moon. Normally during the full moon he just becomes hairier with claws and fangs. It was something he had dealt with his entire life since puberty. He was half werewolf and had grown up dealing with this. He wanders to a party meeting up with a woman kind of just talking having a good time outside of the house as the music was blaring. Unfortunately as the moon rose high within the sky the transformation took its final act turning him fully for the first time. As he turns he howls out and dashes off to the nearby woods where he lives.

Alexander Griffith sighed gently as he felt the cool crisp breeze of the autumn air rush through his hair. He was enjoying actually being able to go out during a full moon instead of locking himself up like he normally did. If it wasn't for the fact it was Halloween he would be inside right now hiding his changed figured from the world worried to what would happen if anyone ever saw him like this.

His hazel eyes looked up at the full round moon as it made its way toward the sky while he walked into town. He brushed his short blonde hair from his eyes his wolf like ears twitching as they caught all the sounds in the area. The fur that had grown on his ears tail and the back of his hands were the same pale blonde as his normal hair. While he wasnt use to the tail and ears they had decided to develope within the last few months so to him it wasnt that big of a deal.

After walking for some time he decided he would crash a party he could hear at the edge of town. He could tell just by the sounds of it that it was huge. So he moved quickly to the large house where it was at and slipped in with a group of people. Once in he made his way to where the drinks were and went to get something to drink his tail swaying gently.

Zarah was not much of a party type of girl, but her friend Jess had dragged her here. She stood off to one side watching everyone dance and act stupid, then a new guy caught her attention. His costume was amazingly real, not like some of the really cheesy ones here. With a half smile lighting her face up,she made her way over to the new guy. She hadn't seen him before, she realized as she got closer to him.

"Hey,cool costume. I love it and it looks so real." she said playfully as she walked up next to him. She was dressed in a tight, pin striped women's skirt suit, fish nets and knee high boots. She was suppose to be a mobster, but it was another of her friends crazy ideas. Her violet eyes looked over the guy once more, then she smiled.

Zarah was 18 and short for her age at only 5'3" tall. She had a slim, but curvy build to her and long black hair. She boasted a nice pair of 38 C breasts and a nice round ass. Some people however, confused her for a kid, which was one of the downfalls of being so short.

Alex was sipping at his drink before he ears gave a slight twitch upon hearing someone speak to him. He spun about and smiled at her happily his fangs showing slightly as he did so. "Well thank you. "He said laughing knowing had she known they were real how much trouble he would have. For him hearing people thought they were a costume helped him relax a little more.

Alex took a moment to take in the small woman in front of him. While he stood at 5'8" She wasnt terribly smaller than him. She was fairly good looking he had to admit. He soon shook his mind of that thought process and moved to get another drink. "I like your outfit. Mobster right?" He asked not sure what else she could be with the pinstripes.

"You're welcome and yea, mobster. My friend Jess though it would be appropriate to stick me in this. Real threatening right? A short mobster?" Zarah said with a laugh. The guy was cute, she had to admit and not too tall for her. He made a very sexy werewolf. She shook her head of the thoughts and smiled at him.

"My name is Zarah, what's yours? Oh and your eyes look amazing, contacts right?" She asked sweetly. She smiled her gorgeous smile and looked into his eyes with her violet ones.

"Any one who would have a tommy gun could be. "He said with a laugh. He shrugged some and nodded. "Im Alex and thanks again." He said to her softly before he held out his hand to her to shake it gently. After he shook her hand he sipped at his drink and sighed contently.

"So Zarah are you having a good evening?" He asked her enjoying the small talk. He tended to avoid ontact with people. He knew with what he was many would accept. If they found out he could be killed, or be hunted down and used for some sort of test subject. None of the options were good so thats why he tended to keep distance between him and people.

"It's alright, its not really my thing...party's you know? Hey you want to go outside where its quieter?" Zarah asked with a small smile. It was getting pretty noisy and people were throwing toilet paper at each other now. She didn't see Jess anywhere and figured she was off with her boyfriend somewhere making out.

Zarah wished she had a boyfriend, everyone else did,but not many guys liked short girls. It was a strange concept they preferred taller girls, even if they were built like 12 year old boys. She however knew she wasn't going to get any taller and was going to be forced to look like a busty kid for the rest of her life.

"I can understand than." He said with a nod before he answered her question. "Sure thing. I tend to prefer less crowded areas myself. "He said to her and moved by her side out to where it was cooler and easier to talk. while he was nejoying being around people for him it was too much for him. So being able to go outside to talk to her made it easier on him.

Soon outside he looked up at the sky and took a deep breathe in enjoying the cool air. "This is much better." He said to her before he turned to look at her the moon nearing its highest point. He was having a good night out since he was lucky enough that the holiday his his true identity. After a moment he turned to look at her. "So anything you want to talk about?"

Zarah was glad to be outside in the open and away from all of the people. She smiled up at Alex and spoke when he asked her what she wanted to talk about. "I haven't seen you around before. I mean this isn't a city and I have seen most of the people who live in this town. So why have I never seen you before? You're cute..." She said.

Then she slightly blushed, she didn't know why she had just told him he was cute but it had slipped out so easily for some reason.

"I tend to stick to my own really. I spend more time outside of it than anything." He said with a nod knowing that what he said was the truth. He then blushed gently and smiled at her comment. "Well thank you Zarah." He blushed a bit and laughed nervously before he spoke again. "You are quite cute yourself."

While he was nervous to tell someone how he felt he enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to open up to someone. He normally just kept it all to himself so it was different to actually tell someone something that he felt.

Zarah blushed a darker red whenever he told her she was cute as well. She could also see he was blushing, which made he blush more. She fidgeted with her hair for a moment, trying to relax herself and when her redness had subsided, she smiled at him. The moon had come from behind the clouds, nice and full, as it bathed everything in light.

She could see him even better now and gasped in surprise. "Oh my god, that is so cool! How are you doing that?" She asked.
His face seemed to be getting fuzzier and turning a little more animal like. Either these were some really cool special effects or something was very wrong here.

It wasn't long after she spoke he felt a sharp pain run through his body making her cringe slightly. He looked up and felt his heart sink realizing what was happening. He finally was able to be out with a person and now his heritage was catching up with him. the was a worst case scenario if there ever was one.

"I don't feel well. I think I need to go. "He said to her his voice shaking. He moved quickly towards the nearby wooded area. As he did so he struggled to walk straight knowing his condition was deteriorating quickly feeling his bones cracking preparing to shift more fully.

Zarah didn't have time to say anything as he ran off,but she knew something wasn't right. She could see him clearly in the moonlight as he ran away. He seemed hunched over and to be getting furrier as he walked, she also thought she could hear a loud popping or cracking sound. She wasn't sure what she had just seen, she was in some state of shock, but she wanted to follow him.

She ran after him into the woods, following the sound of breaking branches and crunching leaves. "Alex? Alex wait, come back!" she called. She ran further into the woods following the sounds and hoping she could find him.

Alex didn't wait for her to catch up. Her following him made him ran faster and harder. He weaved through the woods before he jumped into a ditch to hide. It wasn't long before the full shift hit him hard and fast. The fur coated his body and as he elongated to his wolf like form his clothes tore and shredded of his body.

Once he was full were wolf he looked up at the moon and howled out loudly his howl easily carrying across the night's sky. He then looked about and took off running as fast as he could trying to get home needing to stay away from people

Zarah heard the wolf howl, but she wasn't scared, she figured it was just Alex trying to scare her. "Alex! Come back! Please!" She called out to him loudly. She was running fast in the direction of the howl and as she got near the ditch, she saw a wolf running away. Some primal instinct told her this wasn't a normal wolf as it started to run away from her.

"Alex STOP!" She yelled. It was out of instinct more than that she thought the wolf was Alex. It surprised her even as she said it. She stood there, breathing hard and looking over the wolf.

Alex froze for a moment seeing her call out to him. She didn't see him turn did she? If she did he was done for. He knew things could turn down right ugly if he let her go. He thought about what he should do before he turned and took off running.

He had the chance to take care of her right there and then but he couldnt do it. He wasnt some monster and he didnt know if she saw him. With how he felt he did the only thing he could think of. He began to run to his small home in the woods needing to get to where he felt safe.

Zarah growled in frustration and took off after the wolf, knowing it was not all that it seemed. It had knowing looked at her when she called it Alex. Something wasn't right and she was going to get to the bottom of it. She had seen Alex's form somehow changing as he had ran from her at the party and then there was a wolf in the woods where Alex should be.

She ran faster, until she came to a clearing with a small house in the middle. She had arrived just in time to see something disappear inside. She walked carefully up to the dark doorway and opened it. Inside was pitch black and she could see nothing. "Alex, are you here?" she called.

Alex soon rushed to his home. He looked about for a moment as he ran his ears twitching hearing he chasing after him. He had to lose her otherwise this could be really bad. He soon arrived in his home and went to home hiding in his backroom.

He had curled up into a ball when his ears perked up again. His eyes widened as the thought of her following him here made him worry. that was only solidified when he saw her. He moved to be on all for growling loudly hoping to care her off.

All Zarah got back was a low growling sound, which made her huff. "Look, you cant scare me and I didn't just chase you 5 miles into the woods so you could growl at me!" She scolded. She didn't even know if he was here or what was in the darkness, but she was going to find out.

She certainly was unsure of what she saw and she wasn't leaving until she got answers. She placed her hands on her hips and took a step into the darkness,a bold move since she couldn't see much.

When she arrived at the room he was in he was in a corner curled up growling still. He was running out of options and quick. He knew he had to decide right then and there if he what he was going to have to do.

He soon stood up on his hind legs showing off his full werewolf form the shredded clothing still clinging to him. He Then tackled her pinning her to the ground. "Why did you follow me. "he said his voice was a lot rougher as he spoke to her.

Zarah yelped in surprise when a huge dark shape sprung from the darkness and tackled her to the ground, then it spoke. She glared up at,what she could now see was a wolf,a very large one. If she wasn't mistaken,it was a werewolf,a thing of myths. "I wanted to make sure you were ok. You are Alex...arn't you?" she said softly, looking up at him. She didn't move, even though he seemed intelligent and capable of human emotion...she didn't want to push him while he had he pinned to the ground.

Alex saw how calmly she acted. He whimpered slightly and slowly pulled away from her. He couldnt answer her like this but he didnt at least have his mind about him. He looked at Zarah unsure how she was going to react. For now he was going to keep here here until he could properly talk to her. He knew that if this was to end peacefully they would need to talk. He moved back and laid down his ears folding down as he was acting a bit more submissive letting her see that he really didnt want to hurt her.

When he moved away from her,she sat up quickly and looked over at him. Though he didn't say anything,he looked sad, pitiful even. "Look...I am pretty sure you are Alex...since I wasn't drinking or doing drugs of any kind. If you don't want to talk with me now...thats fine." she said.

Then she scooted closer to him and placed one hand softly on his head and patted him gently. "It will all be ok..." she said reassuringly. However, she wasn't really sure if that was true..or even what was really going on.

He couldnt talk so it wasnt like he was avoiding doing so, but seeing her not fight him made him smile or atleast attempt it in his current form. He kept close to her as she patted him. He moved to curl up to her looking up at her not sure what she would do. Once the sun came up he could turn back to his human form and talk to her. For now he just would have to keep her here and keep her calm. It was just until sunrise so it would be several hours since they were only half the way through the night.

Zarah smiled at him curling up around her more and snuggled back into his warm, soft fur. "You know you're really soft and warm." she said with a laugh. She then began to scratch him behind the ears, now that she knew he wasn't going to try to eat her,or bite her. She felt surprisingly safe here, curled up in this animals warm fur.

Though he wasn't really an animal..was he? The debate was still out on that, but she would give him time to explain himself at least.
