Kyle wasn't the most social guy, in fact, he rarely left the house. He had fine grades and he was in good shape but any time he saw a girl coming or even a boy he would avoid them at all costs. His father had many times tried to help him interact more with people but his son was stubborn and every time he would find a way out. So, during the summer, his father took a trip around the world, leaving his son home alone for a little while. He wanted to bring his son with but he knew he'd never agree. And so, he left. Kyle was very self-sufficient, able to cook and clean, and he'd left a very large sum of money for emergencies. It would be a month before his father returned and Kyle was more than happy with the alone time.
He wasn't entirely alone, though. His only friend in the world was his kitten Milo, a thin, graceful cat that never left his side, always either climbing atop his shoulders or cleaning himself in his master's lap, Milo was always content with Kyle, and Kyle with him. One day, a large package arrived addressed to Kyle from his father, with a letter attached that explained what was inside. Some kind of exotic breed of cat that would "keep you company while I'm gone." With a shrug, Kyle pried open the large wooden crate, not really sure if this was just a cat or some kind of tame tiger, judging by the size of the box...
