Oh the joys of the woods at this time of day. No one was about because no one dared to venture into the woods in fear they might get robbed, raped, and killed. Samantha on the other hand knew better. She had grown up in these woods, and had never encountered anything dangerous except for the animals. And those she could take care of herself so the woods were fine for her. After her parents died, Sam had taken over the family business of selling medicine and random wares. She was quite good at it this profession because she was so attractive which made her an excellent saleswoman. Especially to men.
She sighed audibly, pulling her white hair back into a ponytail. It was an odd quality for someone that was only at the age of 19, but it seemed to fit her. She had bright amber eyes, and stood at 5â3â. She was surprisingly strong for such a small stature, but she only looked slightly toned. She wore length green skirt that came down to just about mid thigh and a brown leather vest that showed off her midriff. She had a large backpack on her back, carrying her wares as well as her clothing, at least what little of it she had. The clothing she had to carry, the more things she could carry that she could sell.
Eventually Samantha stopped by a small creek, putting her things down and dipping her hands into the cool flow of water. She splashed the water up on her face, scooping up a bit more to drink afterwards. She had traveled in these woods before and knew them pretty well, so she knew this stream was safe, at least as safe as water flowing through woods could be. She paused, digging through her bag for a moment, pulling out a small cup. She filled it with the water, pouring it over herself. âNice and refreshing.â She said under her breath. Since she knew no one was around she didnât hesitate to talk to herself. And commenting on the water so the Gods could hear her was probably a good thing as well. If she got on good terms with the Gods, she would be set for life. At least as long as she didnât insult them in any way, which she heard was pretty hard not to do with some of them, such as Aphrodite or Eros. They tended to be a bit testy and over reactive.
