Alone in the wilderness a young woman sits before a fire cooking the last bit of rabbit meat she had a strange feeling she is being watched crawls up her spine. Behind her in a thick forest he hears the sound of twigs snapping and heavy footsteps.
Slowly turning her head afraid of what she might see, her eyes catch a glimpse of a large wolf larger then any she had ever seen before. she jumped to her feet and tried backing away. But the wolf closed in on her. As he approached the fire she could see his blood matted fur and numerous arrows and javelins stabbed into his back. He was panting and looked exhausted. He growled softly at the young woman, even before this giant wolf the woman could see his empty threat.
For some reason she paused and turned to her food. Grabbing the stick she used to cook her meat she tosses it at the wolf who greedily gobbles it up. It was a mere snack for him but a show of trust as well. Laying down before the fire, the wolf falls into a deep sleep.
Taking pity on the creature the woman approached it slowly and began removing the weapons from his back and addressing his wounds. It was a busy project that she pursued through the night before she too fell asleep on the wolfs soft belly.
AND the story picks up the next morning where the woman finds the wolf turns into a man. (with canine ears and tail) and because of her kindness the wolf is bound to her until he repays the debt he now owes!
