He was tired of it! Completely fed up with the fact that school was interfering with the career he was predestined for! Jake was a jock; the kind that could care less about school, snuck-out, and partied all the time. Times were getting serious and scouting season was coming around for most of the fall sports. Several offers were made from different colleges for football, track, and even soccer, but then after an extensive interview, almost all of them suspended their offers after hearing his academic failures... It wasn't that he wasn't smart enough, he never tried and was never really forced to. His parent didn't care or well didn't know, and he didn't care as long as he could continue playing his sports. After a long list of rejection from colleges, he finally confessed to his parents what was going on in school, and instantly they were enraged that he didn't let them know sooner. His punishment? A tutor... everyday after school from 2:45 to 6, the exact same time as all his sports. That right, he was shut out from doing sports as well until his grades came up.

It was the first day his suppose tutor session was to happen. He really wasn't aware who was doing the tutoring, and the only thing he really knew was where it was. Regardless if it was a teacher or a student, he didn't want to go. The whole thing sounded stupid to him... but it was already an established arrangement. The first appointment was scheduled for yesterday, but of course he skipped it for practice... and now he had no choice to go since his parents told his coach. School had just ended and now it was his time to either go or skip again.

"Hey Jake you going to the ally again today?! Last night was sick man!" Erick was always arranging something taboo and for the most part, illegal. "Naw man I don't think I can go... I have a full schedule today dude, but maybe tomorrow." That was probably the first time he'd ever refused something from the ally... but he had to go to this lesson even if it killed him. With his head held low, his black hair drooped messily on his head and his blue eyes looked for the room... 38...40...42... There he stopped staring at the closed door. His hand grabbed the knob of the door and began to turn it. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder, and his heart skipped a beat... "Jakey~ What are you doing in school so late? I don't think I've ever seen you inside the school past 2 and it's... 3:15? You should be at practice and then the ally like usual!" Lucy was one of the few girls Jake talked to. There was no way he could tell her he was going to tutoring! "I'm having a meeting with one of the representatives of one of the colleges I'm going to... Nothing special. I'll catch you tomorrow Lucy, save me some supplies at the ally tonight. I'll need it later." Opening the door, he closed it behind him and took a big deep breathe.

It seemed being intelligent had its perks, and having a prodigious mind even more. It was the case of Cassidy Brown, a sixteen-year-old girl who was one of the smartest girl of the school altogether. All of her subjects in her report card had an A, except for two of them that had an A+, just because her teachers loved her just as much as she loved school. She was devoted it and she excelleted in every single subject, no matter what it was. Plus, she was in the chess club and the math club. She hadn't failed a single subject in her life-time. Never. Not. Even. A single. Time. Her parents being a true legend weren't a potential factor either. Her father was one of the best judges in the state and her mother one of the best psychiatrists. Being intelligent was in her family.

But one thing she wasn't happy, was the school's tutoring program. Of course, and a huge OF COURSE, she wasn't excluded of it. She HAD to tutor someone, and she hated to tutor two classes of students: the classic annoying prankster or problematic and immature kid, and the jock. But she hated jocks the most. She had an internal rivalry towards them since they had bullied her her entire life and she honestly couldn't take. More than once had she been punched or kicked or humiliated by them, so she lived with an eternal fear. And being asigned to someone who had two or three Fs in their report card was no-go. She didn't want to, but she was forced to tutor him.

The first day she was supposed to meet him, he just skipped the lesson, leaving her stuck there for almost two hours. Other than studying, she didn't have anything to do but that wasn't a reason to leave her there. But it seemed he had been forced into that lesson that day, so she had to stay there. Cassidy, or Cassie as she called herself, sat on a chair with some books on the desk as she read some of them along with a comic book. Yes, she was a nerd and a geek. The beautiful girl had gorgeous red-hair that fell down to her hips and just contrasted with her deep-blue eyes. Her skin was mostly pale and she was somewhat slender, quite to say the least. But she had meat where it would make her sexy. However, maybe a turn off for most guys, her breasts were a bit small, not even reaching a C cup by far. "It's 3:15 already...where is he?" she though as she put her glasses on and licked her brackets. She had everything to make her look like a nerd. And finally, he showed up. He was truly handsome, but that didn't mind as her hatred towards jocks was still on. "Hello there, my name is Cassidy and i suppose you are Jake. Now, sit down and let's start with this before your IQ falls to the ground," she said arrogantly and sat down. Her humour was quite cynical and sarcastical.
