It was a cold night outside of a ruined temple in the hills of Hylith. Amongst one of the may caves layed a deep, dark secret. The nature of this secret was so evil that no one dared go near the place or even speak of it. The only known records of this place rested in the pages of ancient tomes usually kept in the halls of great wizards, ancient magicians who harnesed the power of the elements to do their bidding. One such indivdual was none other than 19 year old Sol Gareth. He was a wizard who had been expelled from his guild for his constant attempts to use forbidden magic. Before he had left, he had found these tomes that showed him the location of this hidden cavern and its secrets. He had also taken a special weapon with him. A weapon he would choose not to reveal unless it was absolutley neccessary.

Once the young wizard got over the initial aura of evil that surrounded the place, he trekked forth into the darkness, his only light being a torch he lit on the way in. Sol had learned that there was a tomb somewhere deep underground. Opening it would require a special ritual contained in one of the many books he brought with him. Soon, he was in a large opening. The only sounds that could be heard were the tiny drops of water dripping from the tips of the stalactites hanging overhead. There, he saw it. Sitting in the middle of the room like a sore thumb. A stone tomb surrounded by runic carvings in the ground which read: "Beware ye who opens this tomb for evil lurks within. This mattered not to Sol though. He had a purpose for coming here this day and he wouldn't let a silly little warning carved in the ground stop him.

After several minutes, the young wizard set up everything according to the book he had. An upside pentagram was drawn on the stone ground with chalk surrounding both the carvings and the tomb. Candles made of wax containing the blood of pigs were placed at each point of the pentagram and in the center were various other objects required to unlock the tomb and take its belongings for himself. All that was left now was to read the passage in the book and release the seal on the tomb. Why was it, however that this young wizard would go to such lengths in the face of certain disaster? His reason was very simple. A reason why most humans would go to such dire extremes with no sense of consequence or fear of death. Revenge.

Lilith felt the unknown presents and power the was seeping thru the rocks and tomb that surrounded her. She tapped at the wall to the tomb, her nail dragging over the course stone. Stone she could have crumbled to her will, if it hadn't been for the magic that kept her powers bound and trapped to the chambers in the caves. The wretched slug that had trapped her there would wish for death if ever she were freed. Focusing again on the unknown presents, one she'd been able to feel approaching the moment , he had stepped foot on the dark hills. Beneath which held her prison, buried under rock and earth.

She smiles, knowing now without a doubt a male was her visitor, a mage infact. He was moving without hesitation straight to chamber she was entombed and left to wait. The tomb casing itself was only a buffer, a way to keep her from luring others to enter that would not have the knowledge to free her, but they would have been able to feed her. She feed not off flesh but off the energies of humans and animals alike, and even plants and rocks obeyed her when she was powerful enough to command them. She purrs, the sound vibrating against the stone.

She felt the power from the one just outside her prison now. Could feel the movements around her, and she knew soon she would be freed. Finally someone brave enough and stupid enough had come to release her, and soon she would taste the air, see the sky, and have the revenge on the bastasd wizard that had betrayed her and sealed her away in darkness. Alone and planning his death every moment of her imprisonment.

Even as he placed the objects in their correct positions, Sol could feel the evil aura growing and growing. This made him a little nervous and he hesitated for a moment. Was this really what he wanted to do? Was he really willing to risk his freedom for his quest? As he asked himself that the wizard remembered what had happened to him back then. He remembered the burning flames, the smell of the rotting corpses and of course, the monster that was responsible for it all staring him down. This made him grip the book tightly in his hand. Of course this is what he wanted. He would do anything, give anything to get his revenge.

So with that, Sol calmed himself and began to read the incantation from the book. It was in an ancient language and it sounded more like jibber jabber than any coherent speech. Still, whatever he was saying, it was having some effect. A wind began to blow into the cavern which was weird because he was in quite deep and it would normally be impossible for any wind to blow down here. It caused the lit candles to go out and darken the room he was in. Then came the dark red glow from the pentegram and the purple smoke that rose from seemingly out of nowhere. The tomb began to quake lightly as it opened. At this point, Sol stopped and readied himself for whoever, or whatever was waiting inside.

Lilith absorbed the fine tangles of energy that were seeping into her tomb. The mage just on the other side of the magic incased prison was speaking those ancient word, she chanted herself, feeling the rush of air as finally the tomb separated and opened. Her eyes closed simply breathing the fresh scents in the air. The mage was young, and quite powerful for the age. He been gaining dark power. She smiles and though she wants nothing more than to be free of her prison she waits, gaining just a bit more off his energies. She'd been trapped too long, and her power was weaken more that she liked.

Finally she stepped from the tomb, a rush of air seeming to swirl around her fine form. The glow of the pentagram and smoke seeming to blacken the moment she appears. A woman of pure beautiful darkness. She waves her fingers and the torches lining the cave walls flash into a glow of light. She does not speak instead her eyes are on the mage, deep amethyst eyes the sudden glow in a flask of cooper. "Mage, you have released me, for that you will be allowed to continue breathing. Now tell me boy why have you dared to release me? It has been to many years and I must say a bit of conversation will amuse me." She smiles sweetly as she steps around the pentagram stretching out her form, and seeming rather calm. She was out of the tomb, but until she was able to make this one agree to be her's she would not have broken the curse.

For a moment, everything seemed still. Then came the first footsteps of the person who had been imprisoned in this tomb for so long. Sol was greeted by the sudden flashes of light brought about by the torches in the cavern temporarily hindering his sight. It was the first small sign that his incantation had worked. In his temporary blindness, he saw what appeared to be the shadow of a woman approaching him and though he could not make her out entirely, he could feel her dark gaze upon him. In a moment of defensive instinct, he took a step back not knowing if she was simply staring at him or attempting to implement some kind of curse. After a moment, his eyes adjusted to the light and the young wizard could make out her appearance entirely. She possessed the kind of beauty that could be illuminated by the very darkness she was fueled by, exotic and rare.

But her outer appearance mattered not to Sol. All he cared about was the kind of power she possessed and with this level of seal upon her tomb, he was certain that she was the one he was looking for. She spoke then in a calm manner and for a moment, his defensive posture let up. If she didn't attack him at this point then perhaps she possessed a greater sense of intelligence than a normal demon. This was a good thing on his side as he could now easily explain his situation and perhaps persuade her to join him. In the same calm manner that she spoke to him in, he replied in turn. "My name is Sol Gareth. Why I have chosen to release you is rather simple, really. I have been in search of a great power and yours could prove to be useful in a task that I plan to carry out in the near future. Since I am the one who has freed you from this tomb, it is only fair that you repay me with your services. But know this though. As I have chosen to cross this line a long time ago, I will not take no for an answer. You are my last shot at the revenge I have been seeking since I was but a child."

Breathing in and out the fresh air surrounding her in the cave, the tomb was now no longer a prison, but the walls still crawled with the words of the curse. She listened to the mage's plight, the speech he almost seems to have recited. So very serious and yet she was the one herself that wanted revenge and had been sealed away for too long. Her eyes never leave his form, seeing the strength in body, mind, and energies. Even as he spoke her power linked and licked away at his, a slow deliberate draw off his energies.

Once she'd listened and remain silent letting his little speech settle around them, she expelled the torches with a whoosh of energy, her form appearing mere inches from his in the darkness. "You will not take no.. " she paused and her form was behind him..."for an answer. Is that right?" Her following laugh seems to echo the entire cavern. Then the quiet returns as does the lighting of the torches though she is not in any immediate line of sight. Her voice however drift on the air as she sits on top of the tomb. "Young brave mage asks me to repay him for releasing me from the injustice of my imprisonment... I have my own revenge to see to Sol Gareth." She leans forward and stand on the air itself, stepping down like it holds invisible stairs for her. "What have you a man still but a child in years compared to me, possible think to persuade me to help?"

She was bluffing a bit as she'd almost challenged him to prove he could force her to help him. In truth in a weeks time perhaps less with enough body to feed off, she have all her power back. But for the moment she was a bit too weak for her liking. She might be able to undo this mage but then her power would be depleted completely and she was still be cursed and trapped in the walls of the cave. She had two choices rid herself of this mage and lure another to her. Or work with what was already in front of her. She smiles slightly looking at him like she was patiently waiting a bedtime story.

As the demoness began to move around the room with a swiftness he had never seen before, Sol tensed up a bit. This demonstration of her power, though brief and unimportant was proof that he had unleashed a powerful force unto this world. But it didn't mean he wasn't prepared to use force to subdue this power if needed. All he needed was an opprotunity and it woudn't come easily. He could feel her mere presence sucking away at his magical energies ever so slightly. If she were to take in enough and exert herself, he would be in serious jeopardy. Her voice radiated throughout the cavern as if she were made to be here in the darkness.

The grip on his staff tightened as she appeared behind him and vanished before he could turn to gaze upon her. When her voice then rang from the top of the tomb, Sol jerked himself back around, a look of intent in his eyes. She denied his request for her services and if she thought that he didn't have the means to stop her, then she was sorely mistaken. "If you want your revenge, then you will serve my purposes first," he spat back at her with vigor. "You should know that I am not just some jester who performs cheap parlor tricks for people's amusement, but a wizard of great calibur."

Upon saying this, the wizard flicked something on his staff and pulled the bottom of it out to reveal a blade hiding underneath. But this was no blade of mere steel. It was forged of the magic metal known as mithril and was capable of channeling a wizards magical powers through it to create a weapon of unparalleled might. Sol waved the blade around for a moment and then pointed it right at the demoness. He prepared himself mentally for the task ahead: The subjecation of the demoness.
