Name: Earth 33XX
Basic Summary: In a world covered by endless water... There is hope for life and peace. Unfortunately, remnants of a war torn past threaten the world's survivors. Further, not all enjoy the quiet peace and prosperity that is possible. While some channel this into constructive ends, others take the path of destruction. A road many have walked before in this wrecked worls. There are cities that dot the remaining landscape, and ancient ruins from eras gone by are scattered across the globe.
Welcome to Earth 33XX, my version of Megaman Universe. Where you can be a human, reploid, or pseudoroid. What matters isn't the form you take, or the powers you wield, but what you do with those powers and why. In the end, you decide who you are, and venture into a world where machine and man have blended into one.
Genre: Science Fiction
PN Level: 1
Tech Level: 6
Population: ??? Unknown. The amount changes from day to day, and factories both manual and automatic churn out new inhabitants daily.
Notable Locations
Terra City, Silver City, Chrome City. This trio of cities work together to stay alive against the Maverick incursions that happen on a regular basis.
Notable Persons
Guardians: This Hunter Guild is the most respected Hunter Guild among the three cities. Selective in both skill and attitude, they patrol the zones between and around the cities within their airship, one of the very few legal airships outside government control.
Silver Serpents: This Maverick group has recently become a menace, partly due to their ability to avoid police detection. The other reason is that they seem to have an agenda of some kind, beyond anarchy and slaughter.
Yuichi 'Barrel' Caskett: This man is the foremost expert on ancient technologies, and a former Digger of some fame. For the most part he spends his time studying relics and talking with Diggers and scientists.
Advanced Summary
Terms
Reploid: an android based upon Megaman X, Dr. Light's last creation
Pseudoroid: an artificial being that is based upon reploid technology, but usually is designed for a specific kind of work, and usually looks like an animal of some kind.
Hunter: Someone who destroys Mavericks. Effectively a bounty hunter. Usually either has firepower, skill, or both.
Digger: Someone who explores the wasteland left behind by the various wars of the past, and searches the ruins for ancient technologies.
Maverick: A being that is wantonly destructive towards others, whether it is by choice, or by malfunction. It used to mean a variety of things, from a mental malfunction to corruption by Sigma or Weil. In this day and age, corruption is done by Model W. There are an unknown amount of Mavericks, since there are factories out in the wasteland that continue to produce malfunctioning robots.
Biometal: A technology sometimes left behind by the death of a powerful being. It contains the data and personality of the being, and allows others to tap into it. However, it requires a Biomatch, and a Biolink to be established between Biometal and wielder to access it's abilities. It is useable only by humans and reploids, pseudoroids being incompatible. There are currently 9 known Biometals, but in theory there could be more.
In this day and age, the difference between a human and a reploid is slim. Reploids are created, not born, and can't have children. Humans are born weaker, but those with cybernetics can match any regular reploid. Pseudoroids are different from both, and usually far more powerful than the average of the other two races. Robots still exist, but are either Mavericks, or performing the most menial and loathsome tasks, particularly those that don't require much intelligence.
Technology has advanced much further than our own, but has been lost as well. Some things, such as Biometals, Cyberspace, and Dimensional Travel defy current understanding, but once was. Other technologies are hard to reproduce, such as teleportation and total environmental control. Some things are easy to reproduce as well. The classifications given for technology at this time are Base, Rare, and Lost, given how difficult it is to obtain.
Combat Stats are Rankings that can used to compare and have a rough guess as to how combat will go. However, it is not an absolute. That said, Rankings go from E (lowest) to S (highest). The Stats and their sub stats (representing specific aspects of that stat are;
Health
Armor: Element, Strengths, Weaknesses
Mobility: Ground, Aerial, Other
Weapon: Attack, Speed, Rate of Fire, Ammo
Health is how much damage a being can take before death or destruction.
Armor is how much damage is taken away from attacks that hit. Element is the armor's element. Strengths is what it guards well against, usually reducing damage by half from that element. Weaknesses is what it is weak against, usually taking twice as much damage.
Mobility is how well it can move and dodge. Ground is for ground movement. Aerial is for aerial movement. Other is for any unusual movement.
Weapon is the name of your weapon. Attack is how strong the weapon is when it's bullets/blasts/whatever hit something. Speed is how fast the weapon's ammo travels. Rate of Fire is how fast the weapon shoots it's ammo. Ammo is how much the weapon carries before reloading/recharging, and what kind of ammo it fires.
