It has been many years since the age when Laird Strannis joined Jeron the First and Roland DeLark in their war against the White Lion.
But years later Laird descendent Marcus has lead his former great house into ruin. Now with a foreign marching upon Hebron, Marcus hopes to uses the chaos in order to secure a marriage between his son Leah and Eric Goodin, second prince of Hebron, daughter Rachal. Another planned is hatch by Marcus general to capture Richard DeLark heir to the Nest and HighRock in order to keep the Mountain Folk from entering the war for Eric.
