Syndralig looked out over his dark citadel. It was still largely new and he could still look out where the once barren environment was starting to grow again with a lush eerie green color. The sorcerer smiled flexing his fingers around his obsidian and dark red staff as he sat on the throne. This region, known as Atla was his first true conquest since he had revealed himself.

In short order three small kingdoms and a theocratic society had been razed by his power and his growing army, a hellish lot full of dark soldiers and even darker daemons under his control. The sorcerer stood six three, his skin was warmly tanned and exuded a mystical red energy at times when he connected with his god. His robes were black and red with the occasional purple accent and his black hair was still short from when he had shaved it prior to his reveal. His eyes were warm and inviting as a summer smile and he was said to have the power to charm entire armies to his course. But for the moment he was collecting himself for his next move. The planet was large, far bigger than Atla and it's farms and mines.

Syndralig meant to rule the planet and unearth every secret and power at his disposal. He would be the one king and without challenge or equal. But winter was arriving and his current enemies were subdued and begging for mercy. The rest would wait as he bid his time. During such time his councilors had spoken about seeding heirs for the three kingdoms he had acquired and so from each kingdom a girl was being brought forward to serve as his slave and eventual wife.

Syndralig had no need for children or heirs as of yet, his had given him much already but it didn't mean he was any stranger or opposite to carnal pleasures, in fact he reveled in them as was the design of his master. So in the half built throne room of his Citadel Karlaon he waited continued watching the construction of his palace while his offerings were brought to him.

There planet had come under attack and by now had fallen into the grasp of Syndralig, a well-known sorcerer. Lacey had heard tales of the conquest Syndralig went on and she heard of all the horrid tales of how he tamed the people. He had claimed so many planets already, she never understood why he wanted her home planet, Lithios. Yeah, she understood that may resources could be claimed from her planet, but this was the third planet taken. How could one person need three planets worth of resource. On top of that why in the world did he need to enslave certain citizens?

Lacey had been captured a few days ago and shoved into a specially made cage. None of her clever tricks could help her escape her enclosure. She felt like a trapped animal, waiting to be displayed for someone. Lacey’s deep blue eyes were fixed in a constant glare, she didn’t want to look vulnerable. Fear definitely plagued her heart since she had no idea where she was being taken, but she made sure her fear did not show. Her father had always taught her to be strong and strong she would be.

The travel from her home planet was not particularly short, she had been shoved on multiple ships to get to Alta, thee sorcerers home planet. Her cage had been shoved into a special cargo section where other cages were located with other woman in them. They were crying quite a bit and were very beautiful. Lacey felt a pang within her heart, she really hoped they were being sacrificed and not sold off. The girl’s personality drove her to choose death over enslavement.

A couple days passed by of being in the cage, the other girls remained silent. They seemed to fall into a fog of depression while Lacey grew angrier. Her limbs were aching from being stuck with such a small enclosure. Her legs were long and pale and clearly were not meant to be folded for long periods of time. Her chest pressed against the side of the cage when she sat up, making her nicely sized breast ache. Even more annoying was her blonde hair, which fell so far down her back that when the cage was moved her hair got stuck to parts of the cage. The men controlling the ship had started to enter more frequently which hinted that they were arriving. Lacey knew that if they were arriving at their destination she would have to face her captor and her fate. Dread started to fill her heart as she thought of all the possibilities of why she had been stolen. Despite Lacey’s anger and strength up to this point, she did feel afraid and she knew anyone smart enough would be able to tell.

Once the girls' ship landed the cages were taken out with care not to smash up their cargo. The spaceport was a recent construction in Alta given the society was still somewhat primeval even with the advent of spaceflight but it was planets such as these that were left to linger in the shadow of greater power and technology. It was part of the reason Syndralig had chosen the planet given he could claim it as his own and there was little fear of reprisal from the bigger kingdoms or System of Ordered Planets. Alta was removed, distant and formerly of it's own power and utterly ripe for the plucking. While his armies had killed many men many more had flocked to his banner withotu even a simple extension of his power. Some of them were the same soldiers now putting Lacey and the other girls onto a large carriage. The head driver lashed his whip at the horses and sent them off towards the Citadel while many of the soldiers eyed the beautiful girls.

A few even came close poking and prodding at the girls but a pair of dark armored soldiers barked out at them.

"Touch em again and you lose the hand! These girls go to the Master himself, not whores for the likes of you traitorous scum!" The lead guard snarled. The other man, a turncoat soldier went back a step then tried to gather his courage.

"I'm no traitor, we're brothers now." He said as he looked at the man and then patted the emblem on his chest, a recently made addition to his blue uniform.

The dark armored one spat and smiled cruelly at the man. "You're all about cowards who pissed yourself at the first sign of defeat. Better for men to die fighting or at least be truly defeated then be like you lot now get off or I'll gut you like a fish and feed your balls to the dogs." He snarled as the carriage continued on it's way. The citadel was not far and the lead guard Grual knew that his master would take no excuse for why the newest shipment had been delivered late.

They arrived and the feeling brought a deep dread into Lacey’s heart. She felt the fear creep up on her and drip throughout her body, making her tremble. They carried her off the ship in the cage, how demeaning that was. She felt her body ache all over when she tumbled into the cage bars. Getting carried wasn’t the best means of transportation, especially when moving only caused pain. She said nothing as her eyes gazed about the spaceport, everything seemed so dark. Most of the colors were dark and faded, a dark red etched over the walls while black marble coated the floor. The spaceport seemed new, but everything felt terrible. The spaceport lacked comfort and interest, the colors seemed to dissuade any entrance from visitors. She knew immediately that this place was not meant for comfort. Soon the solider carrying her cage placed it down in an open carriage, one that still allowed her to see the world around her. The land seemed primitive compared to other planets she had visited. The land seemed to lack the normal technology, but provided a sense of fear. The lands seemed to reflect the primitive nature of the sorcerer a man who seemed to love power and war.

She had been enthralled in the scenery and didn’t even notice the other solider coming up to her cage, until one of the armored men yelled with force. Her blue eyes gazed up at the solider who yelled observing the armor that seemed tightly packed, it fit his muscle like a glove. The man was more than intimidating and she watched the other man shrink away. Her eyes moved from the intimidating guard to a man whose pride had clearly been injured. He hadn’t liked the words that came from the higher ranked guard. She could see the wheels turning in his head, she knew he would speak up for himself. Just as she figured, his words echoed out as if gentling arguing with the man who had just scolded him.

The solider seemed to adopt a sinister look as he answered the traitor with harsh words that stung even Lacey. How rude could one man be? She wasn’t about to confront him though, not after the encounter she just witnessed, and especially not after the fact that the other men were eyeing her with lust in their eyes. Lacey remained quiet observing every movement, every building, and all the strange faces around her. She needed to remember as much as she could, she need to learn her enemy and there ways. If she remember the way it seemed possible for her to stage an escape, eventually anyway. If she planned it right, the feat seemed possible. The journey waged on, until eventually they arrived at a large citadel that looed gothic and scary. The place seemed strategically made to intimidate all who entered.

Once again she felt the cage being lifted and winced as her long blonde hair got caught beneath the cage. The annoyance continued to grow, just as her fear and her angry grew. She wished she could override the fear with anger, but at the moment fear seemed to be winning her internal battle. She had no idea what this sorcerer would be like, what he would do. She felt all the unknown variables torment her mind, causing more worry and desperation. Still though, she remained quiet until they approached a great hall of some sort. She hoped desperately the sorcerer would be choosing her fate at this particular moment that gave her little time to plan an escape.
