Rebecca Emery Sterling lived in the castle as a little girl, her mother was a maidservant and her father a cook. She had grown up as a friend of the prince, catching frogs in the pond outside, playing hide and seek or tag with his other companions. She always wore male shorts and played like a boy, not uncommon of the time for her age. As she grew older she began to look at him as less of a friend and more perhaps of a man, a little crush began to develop. When she was fourteen something terrible had happened. One of the king's sons had died at the dinner table one night. the first thought in mind was food poisoning and among those who made and served the food was Beck's parents. Without second thought they were labeled traitors and thrown in jail for life. Beck was devastated, even more so by having been tossed from the palace grounds being labeled the daughter of traitors.

Such a name followed her everywhere. Honest jobs like running a store, cleaning and cooking which she knew how to do well were all kept from her. She had two choices, become a whore or join a band of airship pirates. She had far too much self respect even then for the other and joined an all female crew of pirates. She played the role of a swabby for almost a year. Cleaning the deck everyday, and drying it from rusting when they went through clouds. Being in the sky was horrible, everyday she was sick and the atmosphere was no good for her body. When she finally adjusted she was made a regular crew member and another young girl had joined to take their place. They fought a few great battles, many on land but few of the most memorable were in the sky. One battle devastated the crew. Beck had just become first mate after her fine four years of service when the captain was killed. Her first few months of captain their afterward were somber, the woman who took her in and cared for her when no one else had recently died.

Her crew cheered her up though and she knew she needed to take care of them. Beck lead her girls through a series of awesome battles, and for pirates lived rather luxuriously. She never forgot her past, nor forgave the people who thought her a traitor along with her parents and all along she had hoped to revenge them by truly betraying the royal family. One night she and her crew had stopped at a port for fuel when she heard word of the princes engagement. She was both enraged and perhaps a bit thrilled with the news. This could be the great betrayal in which she had been searching for all along.

Three months of planning had taken place for one day in which she would kidnap her prince. Beck had sent in two girls to be palace maidservants for a while. Twins Alice Stone and Annie Stone had been playing their roles for almost a month when it was time for them to make a scene. Alice had dropped the tray of food which she was holding ans grabbed one of Annie's thick blonde lock of curls "Why dose a mongrel like you share the same blood as me? What an embarrassment." Annie spun around punching her sister square in the jaw. A cook yelled "Quick, someone get the guards to calm these girls!"

As people became distracted, Beck came from the east on her little motored boat and her first mate Edith controlling it. "Eddy, park under that window just over there, that should still be the prince's bed room." She said pointing with her revolver. If she were to guess, the prince would still be in his chambers either sleeping or awaiting his breakfast. Beck hopped onto the balcony with her revolver held out before her.

Elbert lay in bed in the midst of a dream. He was making his wedding vows to Karrin of Lottia, the largest empire the world had ever known would be forged from this marriage. It wasn't something he commonly thought of, but he was going to be headed the Palace of Breakshire a week from now and there was a possibility of the union happening.

He rolled in the bed, his short black hair didn't cover his nearly handsome face, he still looked young despite having turned eighteen nearly a month ago. The blanket was pulled up over his shoulders and so his thin but muscled frame couldn't be seen. The room was very plain for someone of royal blood, he seemed to have a bit of an aversion to fancy things or just didn't ever consider 'decking out' his own room.

The sleeping prince had no idea how his life was about to change.

Beck pushed open the glass window and slipped through the white linen curtains. She had no real memory of the inside of the room other than it was large and not as fancy as the other royal chambers in the palace. It seemed to her as she looked around there was little change in the taste of the young prince. A smile painted across her face as she looked upon the sleeping prince, his chambers may not have changed but his appearance certainly has. She held the revolver out before herself as she stealthily approached the bed, only the heel of her boots making a soft thud as she moved.

Rebecca pushed the cold end of the gun up against the mans cheek and tapped it lightly. "Wakey wakey dear prince, were going out." She said as she pressed the end against his forehead.
