It was dark. So dark that he couldn't see. But he knew they were after him. He had seen them before even without his sight dulled. Grotesque creatures, all of them. They had the bodies of man, but the limbs of every creature imaginable. They howled, hissed and roared at him. They said they were going to kill him for his sins. He didn't know what they were talking about and his only instinct was to run then. His steps echoed in the darkness, but as fast as he ran, he knew they were getting closer. They always did. His legs went numb and he fell to his knees. The hands of beasts reached out to tear him limb from limb. He could see them now, faces and all. They were terrifying, all of them. As they tugged away at his body, he screamed, but no sound came out. All he could do was wait silently for death.
That's when the sound of the school bell went off in his head and Ken Lacroix shot up like a bullet from his slumber. He rubbed his forehead, the memories of the dream still echoing in his mind. Ever scince he started high school, he had been having these visions every night. He didn't know what it meant and it both scared and fascinated him at the same time. So much to the point that he spent alot of time drawing the images of the faces he saw on pieces of paper. He would keep them in his backpack hidden away from the prying eyes of his peers. They wouldn't understand why he drew them or for what purpose. Instead he had them think that he was a normal student living a normal life. Nothing was out of the ordinary in this reality and that's the way he wanted it to stay. The young man let out a yawn before slumping down lazily, the side of his head in his hand waiting for his teacher to arrive so that class could start.
