It was a cold and dark day in the middle of August. The wind was picking up and the trees were swaying. However early it was it felt like it was late at night, and it was torture to the poor girl being escorted around by a boy she loathed. Edward was his name, he was tall and lithe, with long limps and he moved awkwardly whenever they waled together. This was the boy she would marry, the one she had grown up with and had been arranged to marry all along and Lulu, well she hated the boy with intensity. The boy's feelings were mutual and when around their parents they kept quiet. It wasn't uncommon for two people to be arranged to marry and loathe each other. They would grow to tolerate one another fully in due time and...make babies together to carry on their bloodlines. Lulu loathed the idea of being touched by the boy in such a disgusting manner. He wasn't someone she loved or would ever love, and the thought of carrying his babies made her sick. However quite the small city of Moditala was this evening from the wind, Lulu's mind was racing with hateful thoughts.

"For being so short you sure leave me no room to relax! Slow down you twat!" She couldn't help it, Lulu extended her hand and swat Edward's arm when he insulted her. It was a light swat and the boy ignored it as she slowed down to catch up to her. She only stood at the mere height of 4'7 and for a sixteen year old it was a good womanly height.

"I wouldn't move so fast if we weren't late from you not being able to button up your jacket correctly!" Lulu wheeled around hissing at the boy. The notion made the curls of her hair bounce, but they quickly relaxed on her back and framing her face.

"That's what women are for. To make sure men like me are dressed properly. Learn your place Lulu! You will always be behind me never by my side!" Lulu kept her hands in front of her dress. She bunched up her purple gloved hands before turning her attention to the streets of the city as they walked. Walking alone with this boy to meet up with their parents at the park. How she could strangle this boy right now. Her blue hues feel onto the carriages as they passed them by on the streets. Oh how she thought about pushing Edward down and escaping onto one of those. Though she knew full well the carriage wouldn't move fast enough to get away from Edward in time. "Ah, there's the park. The sooner I'm away from you and this terrible day the better."

"The feeling is mutual!" Lulu growled at him raising her chin up into the air so she could see better from under the purple hat.

"So not lady like of you Lulu. I told you to learn your place!" Edward retorted before they got to the gates of the park. There inside they could see the people waling around with their animals. To the corner in a clearly was a throng of people laughing and conversing, no doubt their two families. She hated this, meeting the full of his family and him meeting the full of hers. It was customary to do before a wedding, and before the week was up they were to be wed. Then neither of them would have any privacy to themselves and be forced to live together under a roof Edward had provided for them. Slowly they waled over to the crowd and silently they behaved themselves. Only did they ever fight in privacy, here in front of their families they had to pretend to be happy, but Lulu's face was far from happy as he introduced her to his aunts and uncles and cousins.

"Oh Edward, why isn't your pretty little lady smiling?" One of his aunts had whispered in her ear. Edward had straightened his back and he had sighed.

"She's probably on the rag this time of the week." He had spoken freely, not caring about the look his aunt had given him.

"How unfortunate when you are to marry her this week. I hope your honeymoon will be much better." Lulu had ignored the two of them and ventured off to talk to her parents. Her mother and father were taller then her, but Lulu looked much like her grandparents more than her parents. She had the same fiery hair as her grandmother, the same pale complication and eyes. Her full lips and round oval shaped face matched her grandfather's. She was a pretty little thing, and she sported her grandmother's curves. At least they knew what side of the family she had gotten her good looks from.

"I need to speak to you in private!" Edward had grabbed her arm, bent down to hiss in her ear. No doubt he wanted to fight as they often did in private. He was angry she was to be his wife and she was angry that he would be her husband. Neither of them wanted to marry one another, and it was quite obvious they wanted to be with someone they loved. Lulu curtsied and moved, following Edward through the park silently. They had twisted past trees and branches, moving past couples and people with their dogs, until they had found a safe spoke behind the shrubbery and next to the forest where he pushed her away. "I don't like you talking to my family. Is there no other boy that can whisk your ugly face away from me?" Edward had started the fight, but many a times Lulu was to blame for starting them. She put her gloved hands on her hips before she came forward and pushed him back.

"If I had someone I loved I would much rather die to be with them than you, you you twig of frizz!" She wasn't very good at insulting him, so un-lady like to do. Edward had moved, pushing her harder and closer to a tree.

"I don't like that shrill little voice of you and how you act like you own the place!" Edward had grunted, her hands starting to ball up in anger.

"I never asked you to like anything about me! If anyone acts like they own the place it would be you mister Gregory!" Lulu had pushed him again, so childish of them, and Edward's hands had found her shoulders gripping them tightly. "Stop that you'll rip my dress! Do you want to look like you were raping me?" Edward's face twisted in rage and he pushed her again, forcing her back to snap against the tree and shake it. Lulu's breathe was knocked out of her and she gasped before sliding slightly down the tree to catch her breathe. However, Edward was in front of her, his hand in the air and balled into a fist ready to strike.

"Why don't I show you what you get for not behaving like a proper lady should!" Edward had started to say.

The logic of humanity, had been lost upon him a long time ago. Forcing a strange ritual upon their young called: Marriage. Making the female part become a precious gem, for the pampered male of the couple. No genetical reason for them to mate. No instincts pulling them together. All about the 'image' of the male. And, the only thing he could relate to, to see their bloodlines reinforced. But that, was all the reason he could see. The Marriages weren't even chosen through reason. Just chosen through the materiality of the male. His ability to 'care' for his mate, through the use of 'money'. It didn't mater if the male was completely unable to protect their mate. Didn't mater if he could barely stand his feet, against the mate herself. A few times he'd seen the mate, beating the male, meant to be the Alpha, in physical strength. Human logic.

And here, he saw it again. Another member of his Guarding family, promised away to another pampered fool. But this time... This time was different. He saw something in her, he hadn't seen in this bloodline for ages. A Diamond in the rough. She had a flare, none other had shown him. A heart, that demanded say.
He'd seen it evolve from the very start. From when the two had been very young, she'd already shown disdain for her 'promised mate'. And it was with good reason. He was an over pampered fool. Thinking himself protected, by his families funds. If this young: Lulu, continued showing him, what she'd shown him so far, he would find himself very much -not- protected by his human currency.

Once again, his Guardian family decided to take a meeting with the family they where about to connect to, in the park near the 'Red Forest'. This was a name given to the forest, in a much more frightening time. A forest, where humans walked in to die, or perform sacrifices to the superior race. But now, that bloody respect, was all but forgotten. As was the beasts who earned this respect. Now, it was only his home.
And here they where. Right before his gaze. The young Lulu and Edward. Childishly pushing each others back and forth, sneering and barking at each other, as if they where mangy pups. He almost found it cute. But as it went on, and he saw Lulu getting pushed against a tree, and seemed to stagger for a moment. His deep brown eyes, gazed narrowly towards Lulu, once again finding himself disappearing in her presence. And so the choice was made: He wanted -her-.

In a split second, a large black shape stormed from the woods, charging towards the two 'lovers'. They would hear him approach, already at quite a distance, due to the heavy stamping of the large paws. But that only worked to his advantage, probably slowing down the pampered fools attack, causing him to send attention towards him instead. But doing so, he would still not have time to react to the giant, pitch black, growling wolf, that now leaped through the air. The long, sharp fangs tear through the flesh, and instantly snapped the bones inside his arm. He could've caused this damage to a very strong human man as well, but he would've had to put an effort behind that. This, was like chewing down on water.
With the strength of his weight, he pushed down the young boy, growling against his arm, as blood spewed out over the bitten arm. But as soon as the boys mind caught up, and he would probably start screaming and shouting, the Wolf's teeth left the arm, and instantly sought the tender flesh of the boys neck. And the weak arm, still not immobalized on the boy, could do nothing to stop the large jaws advance, and the fangs pierced through his throat. And with a swift rip, the boys ability to continue his screaming, was removed.
The giant Wolf snarled, flesh still between his teeth, before a whip of his head, and flick of his tongue, removed the flesh from his teeth. Not even interested in eating this thin, pampered boys flesh. He wasn't even worth feasting upon. The Wolf growled again, before giving the gurgling boys head a bump with the side of its massive head, before spinning around on it's paws, now facing Lulu's way. It's teeth still barred, still lowly growling, the Wolf's face was no less menacing. But after a second of staring Lulu's way, the Wolf's gaze relaxed, and the bloodied fur around it's mouth closed, now hiding the dark white teeth behind it's lips. The Wolf took a few steps towards Lulu, before sitting down, gazing upon her, with it's deep brown eyes. A thing about it's eyes, made it look less menacing, then a natural Wolf's eyes might've. And if she had even the slightest knowledge about wolves, or animals overall, she would see something strange about his eyes. Completely human eyes, gazed down upon her, with a calm expression. The Wolf's left ear remained perked, listening after the families, to make sure it'd be able to escape, should they've heard the boys screaming, and be on their way. And there it stayed. Sitting relaxed, staring at Lulu, as if searching for her reaction. Her words. Now, with a proper gaze on the Wolf, she'd notice the difference in fur, around his body. The fur around his neck was slightly longer. The threatening image of an Alpha. The tip of it's fluffy tail carried slight shades of red. All in all, the Wolf didn't seem natural, to this areas average four legged beasts.

Lulu had expected this much out of Edward. He was pampered beyond belief. Anything he wanted he could have. That's why he family had been so eager to hand her over to his family. Edward Smith was rich and Lulu's family was less than middle class. Her uncle had a gambling problem with the horses and any event he could get his hands on. He would bet on the stupidest of things like who would get arranged to marry who, what books someone might like, with his lowly friend. It had left the family scrambling for money and he had borrowed so much from her parents and his other siblings that the family's wealth was easy dwindling. That was when Lulu had been born a year after Edward and the family's had decided to come up with their best plea for the two to be arranged to marry. However happy her family was and his to have such a nice lot of nice people, Lulu was less then pleased. She had often ran to her parents complaining about the boy. There had been a time when she was ten when she told her mother she would refuse to marry him, but her parents reply had always been the same: "Will you be so selfish when your family is starving for the money? Be a proper lady and do your duties!" If only her parents could see them now, they might understand why she hated the boy so. Maybe it was just the fact Lulu had been born in the wrong time. She was a headstrong female in a life filled with pampered males wishing for the women to stay behind them. Society never seemed to want to change and believe women could be more than just housewives.

Edward's teeth were showing in a grimace and his fist was being drawn back before he had griped the heirloom of a choke Lulu had on. His hand was speeding closer to her face and Lulu was frightened. She was clawing at his shirt trying to shove the boy away frantically. Maybe she had over done herself this time, he was actually going to outright strike her and she new no one would question it. It was at that moment Edward's head snapped around and his fist stilled just inches from her cheek. His green eyes had locked on the creature padding towards them and his face had twisted into it's own fear. "A wolf!" Edward had cried and Lulu's eyes had followed his staring face. She had watched the wolf with Edward as it sped up and...attacked him.

At first Lulu had been grateful the wolf had attacked Edward's arm and sent the boy screaming as he tried to fight the wolf off, but then the wolf had moved aiming for his throat. Lulu had acted them, rushing forward and grabbing the wolf's mane. She had tried to tug the wolf off of poor Edward as it had silenced the pampered boy. "Stop it! Stop it! You'll kill him!" Lulu had found herself saying, as if the wolf might be able to understand her. However her attempts seemed for nothing, and she had backed away as Edward's body had stilled in it's pale mass. She had backed up to the tree, expecting the wolf to attack her next in it's rage as it growled at her. She could hear someone shouting in the distance, saying Edward's name. No doubt that his mother was probably coming towards the scene having heard the boy's cries for help. However the wolf had stopped and it's face had softened. It had sat down before her and stared at her. Lulu's breath was frantic and she had looked at the wolf. When the wolf had been attacking Edward, she had thought nothing about how the wolf looked. Now staring at the wolf she could see fully well that it was strange to normal wolves she had seen in books. The color's for the wolf was all wrong. Was that really how big normal wolves were? She had never actually seen a real wolf before and now she was staring face to face to the wolf as if it knew her. There was something more to this wolf, it's eyes were so weird compared to ones she had seen depicted in books. It's eyes...were they human? Still Lulu feared for her life as the voices drew nearer. This wolf might still strict her down like Edward had intended to do. "Lulu? Edward?" A voice had shouted and Lulu's attention had shifted to the bushes where the voices were coming from. She looked back at the wolf, lifting up her dress to reveal her heels before she stomped them. Maybe she could scare it away like she could easily scare her dog. "Shoo Shoo you animal!" Lulu said, her red brows furrowing as she did so.

Neither of the two young peoples attempts to stop the giant, strong beast, had done anything near what they'd wanted. It had only helped to fuel the rage, and thereby strengthen him. But his brown eyes had narrowed. She had tried to protect the boy as well. What was this? A sudden instinct of protection, developed upon false pretends, that she had to do so. The boy being her future husband? The attempt to protect the boy hadn't angered the beast, nearly as much as it'd surprised him. But when the boys throat had been ripped, the Wolf had shook it's body in it's turning, to get her hands off it. And the growl had been a bit more threatening then it had meant to. Making sure the girl would back off. And seeing that she did, it's face still calmed, and it still took it's resting seat, close by the girl.

Why she had attempted to protect the boy, might also be reflected upon as a fearful reaction. In the reaction, she might've wanted to defend him, so that they could've both stood before the Wolf, and together be strong enough to scare it off. Now it was just her. But still. The fear it saw in her, was nothing more then a rational fear. There was nothing irrational about it. Like the fear of a spider, or other meager insects. The fear he saw, was only the fear, that the Wolf's strong wroth, would be wrecked down upon her as well. And now it observed. It's perking ear ticking from side to side, to triangulate where the calling families where coming from. It's brown eyes narrowed lightly, as the young girls' dress was lifted, and she started stomping the ground. But it seemed to do nothing to stop the Wolf's staring. Only caused the creatures head to tilt lightly, as it gazed upon her eyes.
But then, as she called the Wolf 'Animal', in another meager attempt to scare with words this time, the Wolf's eyes narrowed even more furiously, and it lowered it's head into a long, threatening growl, showing just a bit of its barred teeth, as it's ears lowered in a threatening deminure as well. Clearly the Wolf had been displeased with her words of speaking, and now stood up, slowly approaching her. It's paws still gave a light padding sound, each time they slammed to the ground.

The Wolf didn't stop approaching, until it was merely inches away from the girls face, gazing into her eyes, standing upright, without even having to look up, due to it's massive height. The deep brown eyes stared to her's, it's snout almost touching her skin. It's growling had stopped whilst approaching, now just silently staring at her.
Should she lower her head in fear at it, or otherwise try to gaze away, the Wolf would place it's snout gently upon her chin, and try to lead her face back to staring at him. And in doing so, the wet and cool nose of the creature, gently stroked against her skin. Nothing of the forced and power put behind it's attacks before. The stroke almost seemed human, as if the gentle stroke of a wet hand, trying to lead her eyes back towards it. Weather she'd allow her head to be controlled in his direction, or not, the Wolf would just remain where it stood, staring at her. That, until the families where even closer, barely inches behind the nearby shrubbery. The Wolf then turned around on it's paws, facing the forest. But before running for it, it's eyes turned back towards her again. It's head tilted a bit, eyes going from lightly narrowed, to calm, and then back narrowed once again. But after a few seconds of that, just as the families came through the shrubbery, the Wolf leaped towards the forest, hastily sprinting on it's way. It almost seemed to've made sure, that the families saw it. As if it wanted to let them know, that it existed. And right now. It was furious.

Lulu was childlike in today's comparison's but for the time she was the average small a woman should have been. Still she was fiery and had hoped she could have gotten the wolf off of Edward in time to save him. His face was pale void of any color and his broken arm was twitching as blood pooled under his head. His face was eerily turned towards Lulu's with a twisted expression. The expression of the boy she hated made her sick. No matter how much she had for the boy, she would never have wished death onto him to get out of a marriage. Still it had seemed, now, that the wold had saved her from a loveless marriage all because he had seen her being attacked. That was strange. Would a wolf actually do that? Or had she tried to kill Edward herself and was hallucinating?

Fear was struck in her eyes as the wold growled at her before moving closer. Lulu spread out her hands behind her on the base of the tree. She sucked in her breath as much as she could in the tight corset to push herself further into the tree. She was delicately trying to stay a bit away from the wolf as much as she could where she was trapped. That was when the wolf had really surprised her. Her dress had fallen long ago back to cover her ankles and tiny feet. Now, the wolf had moved onto it's hind legs and had nearly stepped on her dress. Still, the wolf was more menacing in this pose and she feared for her life. Lulu feared the wolf may be trying to enjoy the look of fear in her eyes before coming after her as well in it's fit of rage. Instead it stared at her silently and Lulu dropped her gaze. She didn't want to look at the animal that was going to attack her. She didn't want to think about it, and her breathing was shallow. The wolf's nose hit her round chin and caused her to freeze in fear. Maybe he was going for her throat like he had gone for Edward's so she couldn't scream. Instead the wolf forced her chin up so she could continue to stare at his human-like eyes. It was so creepy, those eyes, but they seemed so calm now. Were animals really this smart to think to do these things? Lulu couldn't believe it. She had to be going insane.

When the voices were heard shaking the shrubby, the wolf dropped out of it's staring gaze and fell back onto it's feet. Lulu watched it carefully, still expecting it to lung at her before anyone could come to save her. Instead he seemed fixed on the noise coming and the wolf was leaving, but not before it turned to look at her as people rounded the corner. The woman standing there gasping and gawking at the wolf was none other than Edward's mother, and she had been the only one to see him go. His mother ran to his body, crouching down and placing her gloved hand on his throat to stop the bleeding. She screamed for help and his father came running up, shortly after Lulu's own parents rounded the corner to see the scene. Gasps of terror had fallen onto it, but Lulu's mother head straight for her. She grabbed her daughter's arm pulling her off the tree to whisper into her ear. "What did you do Lulu?" Her mother was angry and frightened, it was then Lulu's gaze fell to her dress. She hadn't noticed the blood that had splattered all over it, and some had been dripping off her face. She blinked, too shocked to say anything. Instead she let the grown-ups speak for her, which had been a terrible idea. Edward's mother had rose to let his father wrapped around a torn piece of his shirt around his son's throat. He had picked up Edward, cradling his dying son in his arm's as his mother had pointed the finger at Lulu. "You!" She had hissed before lifting up her dress to stomp over to the two of them. There she had stopped by Lulu's mother's, Amy, side. Amy had turned her head around as Edward's mother, Elizabeth, had spat on the ground at Lulu's feet. Amy stretched her hand out, placing it gently on Elizabeth's chest and kept her at bay from her daughter. "You did this! I saw you standing there in my poor Edward's blood!" Elizabeth had cried. Lulu's eyes had widened as her mother's lips had twitched. Never in her life had she seen her mother so twisted and guilty. "Now now Elizabeth, calm yourself. Let us talk like Ladies." Amy's voice had cracked as Elizabeth glared at her. "There is no time for talk, your daughter is a murderer and should be inside the palace dungeon!" Elizabeth had cried. Lulu tried to speak, but neither of them seemed to want to believe her. "Please Mrs Elizabeth! I didn't do it! Mother! There was a wolf! A wolf!" "And where is the wolf now you psychopath? Huh? No where to be found!" Elizabeth had cut Lulu short of her plea, causing young Lulu to drop her head and cry. "But you saw the wolf Miss Elizabeth! You had to have seen it!" Lulu pressed her face into her gloves, she was shaking. Her moment of trying to be a hero to save Edward's life had faded. She was no longer courageous. "I just saw you! Bloodied and my son dying on the floor!" It was then that someone came by as Edward's father had left, looking for the nearest doctor that might be able to save him. Two men had turned around the corner. It was none other then two police officers. They both stared at the three women before one approached. He grabbed Elizabeth and pushed her out of the way before doing the same to Amy. There he stood staring at the young Lulu before he extended his hand so she could see. She looked up and went pale. "Please my lady. It would be nice if you came willingly so we could get to the bottom of this." He had just seen her, but no doubt Edward's father had muttered the same words Elizabeth thought. The woman was clearly lying, but no one was believing Lulu in what she had saw. "But the wol-" "Enough of that! She's a murderer! Just admit it you twat!" Elizabeth tried to reach forward to pull on Lulu's locks before the police officer pushed her back. "Stay back Mrs!" He reared on Lulu before taking his arm firmly in his grasp so she couldn't run and yanked her after him as he walked away. "You have been accused of murder and for that you must come with me and await trial!" "W-What! But I didn't do it!" She tried yanking on her arms, but it was too late. He had brought her over to the other police officer who gripped her other arm and the two of them drug the little Lulu from the park. There was no question on where she was going. She would head straight for the dungeon and be trailed. No doubt she would lose based on the fact Mrs Ezliabeth was lying about what she had seen. There was no proof of the wolf in sight and now little Lulu was locked in a cell.

The way he cared for her, and tried to remove the sheer fear running down her spine, clearly seemed to conflict with her common sense. But the Wolf, didn't seem to think anything of it. If she wished to fear him, that was her prerogative. Her own choice. This young victim had been bad for her. Had been a threat to her security. He had to be killed, so that she could be safe. But the Wolf, had not thought of the consequences. Of the family, who'd now lost a beloved child. How they would react to things. How the mangled corpse of their over pampered son, would mess with their heads. But it had on time to do anything about it tonight. It had to hide away in the forest tonight. Where it would do no harm, once the brightness of the moon, struck the nights sky. And night was approaching. But as it'd made it to the outskirts of the forest, now hidden among the trees, it could gaze back, and see the commotion now caused. A mess of feelings, springing from the families. And it all rammed down over Lulu's shoulders. The brown eyes narrowed at what they saw, and the large head was shaken in disbelief. Humankind, had truly grown that stupid? That when a Wolf dealt a fatal wound, it would be seen as a human crime!? The Wolf could feel itself grow furious, as it took it's eyes off the scene, and moved further into the forest. Tonight, he would have to hunt with the moon. And in his current state of mind, he knew the time had come. The time for him to return. A time for him, to strike fear into human kind, once more. It had grown pampered and prosperous on someone else's behalf, for too long. The month of High Moons was approaching. And humanity would feel the meaning of that, once more.

That night, with Lulu in the cell, something ad stirred up in the woods. Something long forgotten. Something, carried by the loud howl of a Wolf. A howl she would no doubt hear, from the little cell she'd been given. And a night of malcontent was to follow. A night, followed by a bright red dawn, as the little city of Moditala ran red that night.

"Two murders.. Tonight.. And that, together with the one in the park during the day, we seem to have a growing problem..." One of the officers spoke, and he leaned his hands against the Sherifs desk. The Sherif sat behind the desk, with a large cigar between his lips, gnawing lightly at it with his teeth as he grumbled. He was an old man, who'd seen many things in his time. But these murders where brutal in a way, he'd not seen in a long time.
"I know, Jimmy. I know. And the murders is so identical, that we can barely blame that little girl for e'm, anymore. The first one had been a bit 'eh', but now.. I'm starting to think the Lady Elizabeth has been abusing her first arrival, to blame the young girl.. We'll..." The Sherif was interrupted, as the large door, leading outside, had been pushed open. Both the Sherif and deputy gazed towards the door entrance, and the Sherif sighed softly.
"Well, well. You again? You always seem to show up, when ever murders like these occur. Vladimir..." The Sherif groaned softly, clearly not pleased with the situation. Vladimir was a loner, living in the Red Forest, where he seemed to tend to himself. He barely ever entered town, and when he did, he didn't even seem to shop or anything. Only wander. The tall man stretched his neck, as to be able to gaze bellow the black fedoran hat's shade. The tall man wore a long black trench coat, hiding most of his body, except for the face, only covered halfly in shadow, only showing the somewhat pale skin, and lightly strained lips.
"Yes.. Sherif... That is because you, and the rest of this police office, is completely incompetent, when it comes to animal attacks. And the city is facing.. Animal attacks. You must've realized by now? No human could inflict the type of damage open a fellow man, as the beast attacking your citizens is." Vladimir growled, with a low and almost growling voice, the slight Russian accent doing nothing to lighten the dark feel of his words. The Sherif sneered lightly, and sat up in his chair, extinguishing the cigar in a cigarette tray on the edge of the desk.
"I was starting to think in those lines, yes. Vladimir... But don't you come here n' tell me how to do my job. We already have a subject in custody. We're going to be questioning her later.. She has, at the least, been a witness to one of the crimes. She kept spouting 'wolf', but we tend to ensure that she's telling the tr..."
"By what... Torturing her?" Vladimir growled again, cutting him off, causing the Sherif to narrow his eyes, and pucker his lips with disdain. Vladimir just huffed in return, and head towards the entrance to the dungeon. "I wish to speak with the prisoner. Alone. And if you want me to catch this wolf, and end these slaughterings, your going to keep your fat mouth shut, as to not hurt anyone..." The Sherif groaned again, shifting a bit in his chair, but still remained silent, as he scratched his beard. But as Vladimir had been let in by the deputy, and the door had been closed behind him, he began to silent curse down Vladimir's name.

In the Dungeon, Vladimirs slow, but sure steps, gave a silent cling to the stone hallway, as he approached the last cell on the left. He knew she was there, the moment the door to the Dungeon had been opened. The deputy hadn't even had to tell him. He would've known. And on his way down the halls, he gazed into the other empty cells. That was really all this place could manage to catch? An innocent young woman? No thieves. No -actual- murderers? What a pathetic system the humans abused.
Now Lulu would be able to see Vladimirs shadow, formed from one of the living torches, burning all the way down the hallway. And finally, he reached her cell, stopping op in front of it, gazing inside with a set of brown eyes, she wouldn't be able to see, for the shadows covering them. Vladimir stared down upon her for a while, probably until she'd say something, and first then, he'd crouch down a bit, tilting his head to the side as he continued to stare.
"How are you feeling, little Lulu?" His deep, almost cold voice uttered, without any real emotions in his expression.

The whole thought of the events had been less than favorable to Lulu. She didn't wish to recall the actions of what had happened to poor Edward, but they refused to leave her head. Her head was spinning with words and questions she could not answer. Had the wolf been real? Had she been seeing things? Perhaps. Was she a murderer? She didn't know. They had placed her in the cell with her own doubts before shutting and locking the cell door behind her.

The cell was small and hot. Lulu could barely move around the cot in her big dress, and sweat was rolling down her back and chest. At first she had cried and then she had whined at the hotness. The fact was that no one would bother to listen to her whimpers and pleas that it was too hot so Lulu had stayed silent. She had moved undoing the back of her corset as best she could before sliding it off. It gave her room to breath and caused a soft sigh to exhale from her lips. Breathing was easier now, but Lulu was still burning up. She turned to a more unladylike approach and pulled her dress over her head before taking off the wiring of what held her skirt up. She placed the clothes neatly in a pile before sitting down on the cot in her undergarment. She was left then in nothing more than a loose white dress that ran to her ankles.

Lulu pulled her knees to her chest and placed her chin on the top of her knees. Her arms stayed wrapped around her legs as she watched water dripping from the sink into the bowl of it. The noise might have been annoying with due time but it seemed to calm her. Until she heard the door open and close and footsteps rang through the cell. The low echoing of those steps, and she knew someone was coming to her. Maybe they were going to torture her into answers she didn't have. There had been so many horror stories about how police officers treated their witnesses that Lulu refused to think about it. The shadow of the man came into view and the footsteps got louder and louder. Lulu tensed in her place. That was when she saw him the shadowy man looking down at her. She gulped fearing for the worst. Her blue eyes widened a bit at the menacing presence. Lulu was frightened of the man as he crouched down in front of her cell. Then he asked her simple questions and she relaxed some until she saw his eyes and heard him speak her name. Had she seen him before? His eyes looked oddly familiar. "Sick.." Lulu finally answered dropping her chin back onto the top of her knees. "How do you know my name? I didn't tell the officers my name. Did they find it out? Did Miss Elizabeth tell them?" Lulu was frantic and rushing the words, but there was a bit of urgency and fear in her cracking soft voice. "I'm no murderer sir. I've done nothing wrong." Lulu stated firmly.

Vladimir gazed inside the cell, with eyes explaining only a mixture of care, and slight hints of disgust. But the disgust, was only at the situation. A young girl her age, caged for a crime a full grown man could've barely caused. He could already feel a drop of sweat trailing down his forehead, as his eyes blinked, hand being brought to his forehead, drying away the sweat drop, before removing the fedoran hat, letting his shoulder lengthed raven hair fluff out freely. He shook his head a few times, as if that was his way to loosen sweat in his hair. Much like an animal. But some humans did so as well, so it might not seem strange to her.
The man rested his elbows upon his knees, still crouched in front of the cell's bars, holding on to his had with both hands. As he gazed upon the half naked woman, he got a hint of sadness to his heart. To see such a young girl, now tormented by her own kind, falsely accused of a murder, she could never have committed. Damned humans. So rash and unthinkably stupid, when losing loved ones, that they'll go to lengths and accuse the innocent, just to have a guilty one to blame.
The feelings he carried, however, was not evident in his eyes, or expression. Those remained stern and observant as before.

As she replied to his question, and began franticly tossing out words, Vladimir held a hand out, flat in the air, trying to calm her down with a few gentle motions.
“Calm down. Letting yourself become anxious and frantic, will only make this cell even more uncomfortably warm. And make you seem even more guilty to the officers, even though you are not.” He said, clearly having knowledge, she didn't have yet. Her mind, starting to tell her she was insane. That she was in fact the murderer. As if she'd hurt anyone. Vladimir remained as cold and observant as before, still gazing at her with the same gentle, yet searching eyes.

Vladimir gave her a moment to relax. A moment to calm down, as he'd asked. And if she did so, he would move a bit closer to the cell, placing a hand at one of the bars, his long fingers curled around it.
“Now then. Where I know the things I do, is irrelevant. The important thing is, is that I do. How I know, that you are not guilty, as well, isn't important. To you, at least. But out there.. In the park. What exactly, did -you- see? What attacked your husband to be? Because I know, it wasn't you. Not even a full grown man, could cause that type of damage. It was damage of a wolf. Not a human. What -kind- of wolf, attacked him? Details. I want details. The things, the Sherif and his dogs wouldn't believe. Things you felt. Things it did. Everything.” He asked, tilting his head a bit, still gazing for her eyes.

Lulu was quite confused on the man's words. So if she was anxious and flustered she would look more guilty? Lulu couldn't believe such a thing. Then again she couldn't believe that she was locked in a cell proclaiming her innocence and everyone had turned a finger calling her a murderer and mad. That wolf, it had to be her imagination. She must have gotten so fed up with Edward that she killed him. It made sense in it's own way. She did hate the boy and didn't want to be married to him, it was the only option to get out of the marriage.

Then the man spoke about he knew things but wouldn't tell her how. It made her brow twitch. She rose a hand to her head as she tried to place why he might keep those facts from her, but it really wasn't all that important. Lulu just wanted out of the damned cage. The words and questions forming on the man's lips struck her as odd. Her lips parted in awe as the man had proclaimed it wasn't her, that it had been a wolf. He wanted to know what craziness she had seen, everything.

"I don't really remember it all.." Lulu started, her eyes dropping to her feet. The sweat was rolling down her forehead and dripping off the tip of her nose. "..I just remember a large wolf with a reddish fur jumping out and attacking Edward." Lulu placed her hands on her shoulders to cover her chest. Her once neatly done hair was starting to sag from the heat, to lose it's form. "If you know I'm innocent why am I still here? That wolf did it and..well I can't remember anything after that. I don't even want to remember the attack." Lulu admitted. It had been so terrible, the scene had both startled and shocked her. Now that she had questioned her sanity the fragments of her memory had loosened and some vital pieces had disappeared. There was no further point of really question the disgruntled Lulu, she had nothing more she could say to the man about the incident. "Will you let me out? I want to go home and sleep in my bed. I want my mother to know I didn't do it!" Lulu was shouting at the end of her sentence, angry and frustrated.

The mans brown eyes observed her with a narrowed gaze, as she began explaining the incident. The man gave no hints of his emotions or thoughts, as he emptily gazed upon Lulu, with the same inquisitive expression as he'd done from the start. No change. No alterations. Just the same thoughtful eyes. Menacing as they where, it didn't truly seem as if he cared. As if her words where lost on him. As if he, as so many others, didn't quite believe her. But he did. He knew it all. He'd heard it before. But never would she have known from his expression. Cold. Empty. Inquisitorry.

"Your freedom isn't mine to give, little Lulu. Your anger and frustrations is lost on me. I am no official with the authority to release you." Vladimir said, with almost a sneer in his voice, as his eyes narrowed lightly further, cutting down her frustrated tantrum. His eyes remained so, his mind seemingly analyzing what Lulu had said, before gazing towards the door from which he'd come. His lips puckered and turned lightly, before letting his tongue wetten them, before gazing back on Lulu, letting them part once again, to let words lose.
"You now told me, what you would've told a police officer. One, who you knew, wouldn't believe you." He started, tilting his head a bit backwards, focusing his eyes more thoroughly upon her, bellow the hat upon his head. "I need to know, what you wouldn't tell them. What your mind, itself, doesn't want to believe. Anything. Any strange details. Feelings. Thoughts. Memories. Anything. Anything you say now, could help you regain your freedom. Do not hold this back." He asked, now tilting his head lightly, as if inviting her words out of her. He moved a bit closer to the cell, his fingers tightening a bit more thoroughly to the cell bars.
"You will be free. And I'll get you out, as soon as possible. But you -have- to tell me everything. Try harder. Remember." He tried again, his head tilting to the other side. He would get this from her. He would'nt leave her off his sights. It was soon time.

Lulu hated the look the man gave her, but she tried to smooth out her emotions. She was angry and this man was making her angrier. It didn't seem like he believed her. He was just like all the other officials that had locked her up and assumed she was crazy. Now this man was giving her the same feeling of being alone, completely alone in the situation she was currently in. Still, Lulu was a fighter and she wasn't about to give up.

His words started in then. They were unsettling with the young woman. He had at first stated he couldn't free her and then he further worded how he wanted her to tell him things she didn't want to remember. Would he truly keep his word to let her out? Maybe he was just playing her to make her seem more insane then she already thought she was. "It's hard to remember anything.." Lulu admitted before she moved, going closer to the bars where his hands were. It was a silly thing to do, to get closer to him when he could clearly hear her, but she felt if she muttered anymore words out loud someone might hear it as her confession and hang her right away. So Lulu lowered her voice and her gaze, uncertain if she should say what she was about to say.
"The wolf...it acted strange. Maybe I imagined it, but I swear it got on it's hind legs in front of me..." Lulu placed her hands on the bar hovering over his. "It was acting almost human..I've never seen an animal act like that before. I didn't think animals could think." Lulu admitted. "Are wolves normally bigger than humans? I've never seen one in person before until now, but the height of that thing seemed unnatural."

As she came closer, his bright brown eyes observed her closely, his fingers slightly wrapping around the bars of the cell. He listened well to her first words, his eyes still as analyzing as before, doing nothing to ease her worries. They even narrowed a bit as she mentioned her lack of memory, as if trying to threaten them out with an almost demanding deminure. She was worried others might hear her, and take her words as if those of the insane. But no one would. No one wanted to be near her. She'd become as an outcast now. If anyone could still trust her, it was her family. If she had truly not been the murderer, then she had a way to control Wolves. That's what they would think. What they'd mutter in the shadows. But not Vladimir. He knew, very well, that she could not control the Wolf. That he was not one to be controlled. An image of the past. Something long forgotten. Something no one wanted to remember. But something some would know to be real soon. Especially the young Lulu herself.

He listened as careful as before, his eyes now less narrowed and more open to her words, as his head tilted once again. Hind legs. Acting human. There was no doubt. She'd been chosen. His lips puckered a thoughtful expression, before his head nodded a few times.
"There is no doubt then. Your in great danger, if you try to go at this alone. Your in a circle now. One long forgotten. One that no one believe, and they will believe you insane until the truth is realized. And humans never realize the truth, they don't want to see." The man's dark voice muttered, as he gazed down for a moment, thoughtfully. He took a few seconds, before gazing back at her and nodding.
"But I believe you. Your words are that of truth. And I will keep my promise, and see you free. But no one in this wretched town will believe your innocent. Maybe not even your parents. It has begun now. You will become an outcast, someone nobody wants to see eye to eye with. You will be feared. But no longer persecuted." He spoke, raising to his legs, to gaze down upon her with a nod. "I will see to your release immediately. What you've told me, tell to no other. Instead, help me catch the true villain. Can you promise me to do that?" He asked, tilting his head a bit forward, gazing at her with a demanding expression once again.

"Do not trust him. Do not trust the man in black. Vladimir, the Liar. The Murderer. The menace. He will abuse you. Your innocence. Your mine. He will have it not be so. He will have me removed. Killed. Buried. Forgotten. Do not allow him. Do not trust him." A deep voice whispered in her mind. One not of herself. One she had no control of. But one that seemed part of her.

The way this man talked and acted scared Lulu quite a lot. However he was the only one who was not shouting that she was crazed or demon possessed and she was thankful for that. Still the way his eyes gazed at her, analyzing her every move with her every word, made her wonder about him. Was he just putting on a show? Trying to be Lulu's friend for now so she would admit something? She was already starting to believe she was crazy and no one would believe she was innocent. She could recall her mother's expression as good as she could recall the wolf. The way her mother had handled her assuming she was the murder and Mrs Elizabeth? Well she had clearly seen the animal, but had spoken ill of Lulu. Clearly the woman had not wanted to believe their was that beast or she had not wanted Lulu to get off the hook.

When he spoke about freeing her, she had pulled up her gaze to look at him more closely. He was speaking so oddly that her lips parted in awe. He wanted her to help him catch the beast? He had even be an outcast now. No one would believe her maybe not even her parents and she knew as much was true. "Why would you want me to tag along sir? I have no connection to this animal!" She had remembered what he said before. She was in a circle something long forgotten..Still Lulu was young and his crazy sounding words only made her feel more at unease. Could she really trust him? "I just want to be free to go to my family again. As much as I hated Edward I would never kill him! We just..didn't get along." Still she was mumbling to herself as he had spoken. He had believe her about the wolf. How crazy was this man? He wanted her to promise to catch the wolf and well Lulu... "I don't think I can promise such a thing sir. I don't want any part of this investigation. I just wish to be left alone so I may move on with my life." She looked up at him, his expression sending chills down her spine. Something was odd about this man.

The voice that rolled through her head made Lulu stiffen a bit as she looked at Vladimir. Was she really so crazy she was making up a voice for the beast that had attacked her? You aren't real voice. Go away. Lulu had almost hissed in her head, sure she was only talking to herself. She moved, standing up before turning around and crossing her arms over head as she sweat continued to roll down her face. "Is there anything more you wish to ask of me? Or shall I sleep again?"
