Ahri, the beautiful and impossible to resist fox-girl, hid in the forest, trying to get away from the law. She had done it right, for the past few years of course, but now she was concerned that she would be hunted down. She had heard that a new hunter had been assigned to hunt her, and she was really worried. The maximum they had done was chase her, and she had easily outrun them all with her quickness, and she had even seduced some of them, but she never had sex with any. Being really beautiful and innocent had its perks.

With a quick and steady pace, Ahri ran quickly through the trees, her sphere of energy following her to protect her and provide her power. "Oh...no...wait. Maybe if i hide here, he won't find me...if he's chasing me at all," she thought, and quickly hid inside a bush, turning off her fire sphere to avoid being found.

It was just another contract...Well, that's what Steve had thought it was. Find the guy, kill him, move on. Being paid to kill people wasn't the safest job, or the most legal, but it fed him and gave him enough money to rent a room each night. Everyday, a new target, and everyday, another body was added to the count. That's how things had been for a year, but today, everything changed.

He was sitting at a bar, biding his time until he grew tired, when a man sat next to him and slid him a piece of paper. No words were spoken, no currency exchanged, not even a glance was shared. The strange man had left as quickly as he sat down. Steve figured it was just another contract, so he looked down at the paper, and at first, it appeared to be exactly as he thought. But the more and more he studies the paper, the stranger and weirder the mark seemed to be. Rarely was a girl requested, but even then, they didn't have ears...Well, they did, just not seemingly sprouting from the upper part of their head. At the bottom was some writing, a little send off for him. It was a very short note, simply saying that if he completed this contract, he would get a blank slate. Fail, and he'd be hunted down like he hunted others. So, without any real choice, he picked up the paper and went followed the only directions it had on it. He walked and walked and walked deep into the lush forest until he felt like he was dead center.

Ahri quickly moved out of the place she was when she felt the hunter was quiet. Another sign that meant for her that he had left like she was used to in the wildlife. But little did she know that her beautiful and innocent self was being hunted for some reason. She silently walked away from the hunter but she stepped on a branch. As room as it broke, she flinched and fell backwards. "Please sir! Dont kill me."

Steve looked at the ground. He knelt down by some footprints that seemed to trail off into the distance. He stood back up, then walked around, following the path, but not too closely. He walked a little further until he heard a snap close by, followed by a sweet, soft voice. He stood still, looking at the ground. "Do you know how many times I've heard that phrase?" He said in a low, grumbling tone. "I've gotten all sorts of offers." He turned to her direction, slowly walking to her. "I've gotten the 'I have a family' excuse, 'You've got the wrong person' excuse, even bribes with money. And do you think I've taken a single one?" He walked over to where she was, then peered around a tree to find her, only able to see her face. "So if you really want me to spare you, you're gonna have to try a bit harder then that."

Ahri heard what he said. She wasn't mean, and of course she wasn't a liar, but when it came rto saving her life, she would do anything to save it. "You are right...i don't have a family...they were all killed...but maybe i can escape anyways," she said with such a soft and beautiful voice it would melt even the hardest heart. She used her magical fireball and turned into a cloud of hearts that messed with his face. She used this time to run away really fast like a fox.

Steve waved his arms about to clear the flutter of hearts. "Gah, these frilly-ass heart shits...Some kind of power." He coughed a few times, then started sprinting to the target. His footsteps were loud, thunderous and menacing, each step shooting leaves up into the air. He ran and ran, dodging trees and branches, until he caught up to the fox. "Get back here, damn it!" He shouted at her, then pounced on her, pinning her to the ground. He felt something bushy brush against his leg, so he pinned his knife into the ground next to her face. "Now, tell me...what exactly ARE you, anyway?"

Ahri tried to run as fast as she could. Being a fox allowed her to run quickly in all four, but the attempt was futile. The hunter managed to catch up with her quite quickly. She saw her face reflected in the sharpened knife and cried softly. "I am...a fox-girl. My name is Ahri, The Nine-tailed Fox. Me and my race were supposed to take care of this forest, but some people killed them all, and now it'sust me," she explained, crying softly as she looked at her hand, the magic ball returned.

Steve immediately took the knife out of the ground and used it to pierce her sleeve, pinning her arm to the ground to avoid any more poofy antics. "A fox-girl, huh? Guess that explains these bushy things and these cute little ears..." He took one of ears between his fingers to play with them for a bit. "So you're some sort of forest protector? What in these forests needs protection? It's just a bunch of trees and squirrels and shit. And what did you do that's so bad that they hired me to kill of the last of a species?"

Ahri looked at him and cried softly as he humiliated her. "Y-Yes sir...i am a fox-girl...I am the protector of these forests. I'm charged with keeping the evil-doers away. I guess they hired you because i destroyed a few bulldozers when they tried to destroy the trees to open a supermaket..." she said looking away, her whiskers were dirty and she looked at him once again. "Please sir...don't kill me.." she begged with her beautiful yellow eyes looking at him.
