Erika soared through the waters, reveling in the warmth the sunlight glistening off the pink scales of her tail and darker hued fins provided. The darker depths of the ocean might be safe from the likes of humanity, but she missed the sun. Her skin was pale, almost milky white from lack of exposure and she brought herself to a halt, flipping onto her back and basking in the daylight. Her long pink hair floated about her head as if it had a mind of its own and her coconut breasts, larger even than the coconuts that occasionally drifted out to sea, stood at perky attention.
She'd tried a device called a corset she'd once found in the wreckage of a newly sunken ship, but between her impressive chest and the complicated strings she'd given up attempting to immitate the human women of the surface in favor of comfort. Instead she'd claimed a necklace of pearls and wore it about her neck with pride. The current slowly dragged her through the water until a panicked school of tuna crashed into her. Erica tumbled through the water, carried along by the frantic fish until slamming to an abrupt halt, wriggling bodies pressing in on her from all sides.
Why couldn't she move? Through the silvery chaos she made out the lines of something binding them all together. A net! Panic attacked her insides like a blood frenzied shark. She struggled and fought and thrashed, but to no avail. A shadow fell over her and the captured school and she looked up to see the hull of a large ship pulling even directly above them. Oh no....
