Victoria stood up from her position on the roof as she stepped to the side, putting herself between any danger and the prophet. No one would get through her, but, yet, she could sense that the Demon, her enemy coming for her didn't want to harm the child, but he wanted to harm her. It sent a small shiver down her spine, but then she shook her head. She wouldn't allow herself to be afraid, she had defeated him in battle once and she could do it again. She closed her eyes, allowing her sense of feel to take over as she took in a deep breath to calm herself.
She spread out her wings to their full wing span and her fingers tightened on the hilt of her sword, her knuckles turning white as she waited, knowing that there would be another fight. Her sword was pointed down as she looked behind her towards the house where she heard the baby crying, this wasn't the time to be distracted, but she knew her objective was to protect the baby. She took some steps back as she closed her eyes and allowed a calming aurora to surround the small family and allow the baby to calm down. She didn't sense that the baby was in danger of dying, but it was natural for children and babies to cry, but right now she didn't need the distraction, so she tried to calm it down as her eyes flicked back towards the fire escape leading up to the roof as she grit her teeth together, tense, and nervous, a small bead of fear inside of her as she once again waited.
She could hear the baby stop crying and a small sigh of relief left her as she looked behind her and nodded once, the emanating aurora coming to a stop. It was distracting her, and her senses were on high alert because of the dangers around her and the dangers surrounding the prophet and because of her objective. It was going to be hard, but she had to remain focused and once she took care of her enemy she could go back to watching over the prophet.
