Plot:
A young cellist named Flora Price, a prodigy who is relatively fresh out of high school moves abroad from the US to go to the internationally acclaimed "Adaire University of the Arts" for the spring semester. All her life she has been praised and treated as though she would become the best cellist in the world, never faulted or criticized by her peers or instructors, and certainly not her family. As a result, Flora is used to getting whatever she wants and is not accustomed to accepting her own faults. She is arrogant and hot-headed underneath her composed demeanor. There is no denying her talent, but every artist must learn that they will always have room for improvement.
Her relatively rich parents arranged for her to take lessons outside of school, as she had her entire life, with a man who is one of the greatest cellists in the region. He is very strict and crude, and is quick to inform her of her lack of finesse, which is something she had never been told in her life. As a result, they butt heads often and she is motivated further to prove him wrong and rub her success in his face. Somewhere along the line, however, between fighting one another and the obvious tension between them, one or both of them realize that there is an underlying attraction in their relationship, which is highly frowned upon in his establishment, as well as against his contract with Flora's parents.
